The instructors Ed, and the two Joes each have decades of experience in the field and teaching and prepare you from the ground up, regardless of your previous experience. It is however enormously helpful if you already have an Electronics degree and/or are already working in the field. Each of the classes I've taken are like packing an entire quarter of a college class into two weeks. Ditec are the leaders in the Independent Xray training facilities in the entire world and all the instructors are CRES certified.

She lead the class with clear, fluid control...even with her back injury, she strained some muscles and could barely move. Being the newbie in class full of regulars can be a little uncomfortable, but not at this studio. I was allowed to borrow a mat (from out of town) and felt nothing but encouragement in a inviting space. I especially loved the affirmations Tammy used in her instruction and heard a few songs I am trying to download onto my ipod. Overall this was a great studio that I would love to utilize again when I am in the area.

I started practicing yoga in 2006 at Evolution with their once a week Yoga 101 class. Sandy, the owner of the studio taught the class while two other instructors were there for support. The assistant instructors walked the room, made adjustments, and suggested modifications for each student. I was hooked. Once I completed my 101 class, I was buying monthly unlimited passes and hitting the studio five to six times a week. Every instructor was AMAZING. I was practicing a diverse range of classes, including: Sculpting Yoga, Bikram, and Vinyasa Flow. The studio was remarkable to say the very least and I miss it and the instructors. I'll continue my search here in the bay area to find something close, but the bar is set high.

From the first call to the last I felt heard and truly cared for as an individual. I spoke and corresponded with student services, bursars office, my academic advisor, the information technology department and the phone operator numerous times. Each interaction was reassuring and supportive. Now, with two classes remaining between me and my undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on Law and Society, I definitely recommend this college as a traditional student or a UCAP student. I found that I was more than prepared for graduate school, and incredibly grateful for the required research & statistics classes built into the curriculum to obtain a BA in Psych. Not know as a party school, but here you will find a tight knit community especially amongst peers in your same field of study. Great place to be if you're taking your academia seriously, if not don't waste your time. This school also has lots of scholarships and gracious donors, so don't let the tuition be a deterrent. This school is not designed for anyone suffering from social anxiety, anxiety in general or depression. They relied on entirely too many group projects with no system to balance it out. Everyone stacks up and the introverted kids get left out. They attempted accommodations but they were not an acceptable substitute for the issue. The second biggest issue is I attended for one day and somehow owe about 80% of the tuition back. Allegedly one class is worth thousands of dollars and you get stuck with it.

I will…read moreremember this place in two years time as my experience here was much better than the last place I went. The staff at this location were friendly and the space was clean. There was Keurig coffee and water offered. The office is located in a nice, small strip mall next to a Subway. The location is near the airport and right off the highway. There was plenty of parking. I did the online and in-person combo course to renew my BLS certification. I had just 5 people in my class, though the instructor said typically the non-hybrid courses run 8-30 students. The course was efficiently run and ended up finishing early.

My brother suggested Civilian Defense Academy and I have been thrilled with them. In February I started with the Learn to Shoot class and absolutely loved it. They keep the classes small and only work with a few people at a time during the range portion. That was fantastic because James was right there to watch everything I was doing as I was loading and shooting the various firearms he provided for practice. He was there to answer all of my questions and offer suggestions on improving my form and accuracy. Yesterday I attended the Concealed Carry course to get my license. James and Bruce are very knowledgeable and put everyone at ease right from the beginning. They make it fun and really interesting while still being very professional and making sure to stress the importance of safety - for you and everyone around you. The idea of sitting in a 10 hour class about firearm safety, mechanics, use, ammunition, maintenance and legal responsibilities sounded a little daunting but I had a great time. They made it so interesting that it seemed to take no time at all. Even the seasoned hunters in the class said they learned a lot and everyone in the class seemed to really enjoy themselves. I would not hesitate to recommend CDA to ANYONE looking to get their Concealed Carry License or simply looking to get comfortable with using a firearm. I feel much safer and more confident moving forward having taken these courses.
