I spoke with the manager, Keisha who said it's not a big deal that it's starting so late, but because this is a for profit venture I would have expected this to be much better run. I'm basically missing work to hear an instructor say, oh no I bet you broke some ribs, and taking time from actual patient care right now while I watch others train. In the hospital setting it makes sense but to pay money for this for convenience is ridiculous. The manager herself really could have cared less as well.

I am a Veteran and wasted my time and benefits on the Cyber Warrior Program. They will lie to you…read morethe entire time about how great their program and school is, how the certs will help you start a career in IT and how Career Services will be in constant contact until you land a job. The classes are taught by PowerPoint and the Labs rarely work enough to complete. I used other means to study for my exams. Career services and everyone else that spoke with us via Zoom always talked about the careers, preaching great jobs, placement and starting salary, only to offer you $15/hr call center jobs saying " it's better than fast food or other jobs paying more because those aren't careers". Then comes program completion and the many emails, calls and texts to your career advisor that go unanswered. The bulk BCC emails with positions that you do not qualify for because you lack a degree in an IT related field. Do not trust the good reviews on this company, as they are submitted by employees. Which, by the way, My Computer Career won't even hire me because I do not have the experience or degree that is required for an entry level position. Everyone stay away from this place, not just Veterans. Go to a real college, self study, get a degree and your certs without giving more money to these people!

I can tell you, you need to get your foot in the door by having some basics such as Associate Degree or higher with cert(s) unless you get a higher degree and are a shoe for a job that highly matches the degree you earned. Having some work experience in a related or matching field is also very helpful. Also, if you have a connection in the inside who gets you in that is sometimes the key. Myself, I've earned two Associate Degrees and take extra courses at a half-dozen colleges private and public and have nearly a dozen certs from CompTIA, Cisco, and others. The programs they offer here will do nothing for you but take your money and/or benefits you are using with them. You want to learn and earn some certs, try Udemy or CBT Nuggets to learn and pass a half-dozen certs and get your foot in the door. Understand, this institution alone will do NOTHING for you.

Testing center for school…read more Can't bring a lot in with you as you are testing. The proctor coordinator is pretty attentive on emails to be able to schedule a testing date and time. They do charge as I would assume any other place would. Small rooms with computers is all we really need. They charge by the time you have scheduled. Specific times so I would make sure to be on point with everything.

I joined the first class, which was free. Then, I paid for another class, which was a couple hundred bucks. During that period, I asked to get out of the class to meet with the campus director. He was super pushy and convinced me to join the academy. Initial investment of almost $30k. They promised me so much. Told me that I would get this and that, that I would be able to pay the classes just with the trades that are shared by the instructors. Please do not believe in these promises! I can tell you that their method is outdated and does not work. I have joined aNother academy, which does not cost me 3% of what I paid OTA and it is so much more efFective. As OTA promises that you pay once but your membership is "lifetime," and after my experiences, I contacted them to get a refund. They will not give me. Now, they have been also sued by FTC. So now who guarantees that you will continue to get the "education" they offer? I have talked to a couple attorneys already, and am about to sue the academy get some of my investment back. I am also opening a Youtube and Instagram page to not just talk about OTA, but also to warn futures students/traders. Please, before you think about joining OTA or any other trading academy, talk to people who are part of their community so you won't make the same mistake I have made. Contained within one of the many buildings on NC State's Centennial Campus is a pretty amazing…read moreWildlife Center. With a self-guided tour, the Center takes you through North Carolina's wildlife and conservation efforts. It begins with a large satellite map of NC to give an overview of the vegetation or river and streams. From there, the exhibit map leads to the Wildlife section with its interactive push button displays for matching the animal with paw prints or bones. The Piedmont Portraits section is probably my favorite. There are three floor-to-ceiling displays of the Piedmont habitats with each display flanked by pictures of animals found in that area. As you push the button, a picture of an animal lights up and you hear the sound of that animal. Each panel takes you through a day's journey with simulated lighting and the animals most likely to be active at that time of day. Sometimes, sounds from the other displays play simultaneously - usually the bullfrog and toads -- as a reminder that some animals are everywhere. There was no talking, just the nature sounds. The Wetlands Section has a touch screen map for picking a county, an amphibian or reptile and then finding what is prevalent in that county. The Wetlands Overlook is my next favorite section. There are two cameras trained on bird feeders outside the windows near the man-made wetland area. Using the joystick, you can zoom in or move the cameras to watch the birds or just explore. There's an auditorium playing a short video overview of the Piedmont habitats. It wasn't operating the day I visited, but with everything else here to see, I wouldn't have had time. I'll go back to see it, but will probably call ahead to make sure its showing. It may only be available on weekends. The self-guided tour also covers the classroom labs on the lower level, with its groundhog, grasshopper and bullfrog labs, but I didn't visit them, either. The guide indicates at least one of them, the grasshopper lab, has a collection of "skins, skulls" and other things that kids may find fun. I'm not fond of bugs or insects or some amphibians, even dead ones (just ask my college zoology professor), so I'll probably continue to skip it. It's a small center, taking only about a third of the first floor, and part of the ground floor, but they've packed a lot into it. It's free, but donations are welcome, and it's a fun way to spend an hour or so.
