CPR Consultants, Inc. specializes in Automated External Defibrillator (AED) turnkey programs. We help you in all aspects of AED program development; selection of the proper device for your facility, program development specific for your site , CPR and AED training on your specific unit, online AED management program and ongoing replacement of AED pads and batteries as well as practice drills for your emergency response team. These services can be purchased as a package or chosen individually. Because the best way to respond to an emergency is to prevent it from happening we train in accident prevention as well as response planning.

History

Established in 1988.

CPR Consultants has been North Carolina American Heart Association Training Center since 1988. In the past 23 years, the company expanded to deliver training in CPR, Automated External Defibrillator, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogen and Oxygen Administration to meet healthcare, community, and corporate needs. CPR Consultants continued to expand teaching American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support courses for healthcare professionals, as well as CPR instructor development courses. Our experienced instructors offer a variety of special courses to meet client needs. CPR Consultants has delivered workshops on medical education, emergency preparedness, medication administration, worksite safety and fire safety, to name a few. Today, CPR Consultants boasts a Training Center network of 600 instructors, training over 18,000 participants annually in American Heart Association courses.

Meet the Business Owner: Paul K.

Paul has been an emergency medical professional for the past twenty five years. Paul graduated with a BA in history from the Plattsburgh State University of New York in 1990. Shortly after completing his degree, he continued with post baccalaureate work in medical sciences and became a paramedic in 1992. Paul spent the next 10 years as a New York City paramedic, a critical care transport professional and firefighter. During that time, Paul conducted research with New York University Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital in the fields of emergency medicine, pediatric injury prevention, and pediatric paramedic education. In 2000, Paul assumed the role of education, performance improvement and research director for the North Shore - Long Island Jewish Health System CEMS. He moved to North Carolina in 2005 and has been teaching with CPR Consultants since 2006. Paul has been an American Heart Association Instructor since 1991.
