We had the E bikes, so you can either pedal or get a pretty significant pedal assist. It's a pretty low-key ride either way a couple of downhill spots where you might want to walk if you're not comfortable bike handling. But this is very accessible ride. And just a lot of fun and interesting.

There were only 6 of us on the cart. Our guide was wonderful and shared a lot of information about locations all over the historical area of Rome. He also took us through many alleys. They've informed us that this activity cannot be offered due to a blackout in your destination. This is actually a total lie as there are no planned blackouts. Given how late "Ancient and Recent" cancelled our tour it left us no way of booking an alternative as there is no availability. It seems they never had tickets and are clearly over selling. My recommendation would be to book directly with the colosseum and not use Get Your Guide or Ancient and Recent.

Our travel agent, who typically is very reliable scheduled a day trip to Pompeii from Rome. Did not realize until to late that it included going to Sorrento. In reality, this was a transfer service for people going to Sorrento from Rome. The Pompeii bit is just to fill seats. Departed Rome at 7:20 am, passed by Pompeii at 9:45. Stopped at a tourist trap Limoncello store outside of Sorrento, then arrived in Sorrento about 12:30 pm, dropped at a dumpy restaurant with barely time to eat, then back on the bus at 1:20. Arrived back at Pompeii at 2:30 and were given 90 minutes inside before having to return to the bus for another 2 hours back to Rome. A wasted day 8+ hours on the bus for a couple of tourist traps and 90 minutes in Pompeii. I would give negative stars if I could. Not to mention the bus driver answering his phone while driving.

Every time he repeated them, he changed them a little. Frustrating and confusing. Also Stefano offered a few additional activities but requested cash only and no credit cards which seemed suspect. Turns out there's more catacombs in Rome and the one we went to was fantastic. There's also more ancient roads than just one. While we did ride on "the one" we also saw two others that were better preserved! I had no idea there were multiple aqueducts. We saw two! Plus got to see inside one. We had done a larger commercial tour before. We will go with Simone if we go back to Rome. He also was very good with our 10 year old girls. He spent time to find a bike that fit them just right (they're super tall and skinny so it wasn't easy). When they needed a break, we went to a cafe to have a local Roman lunch. It was fantastic. While I don't like riding on roads with cars, it's impossible to avoid in Rome. He always made sure we were safe in riding and crossing roads. We did have one problem with one of the bikes. He had a tool kit with him and was able to easily adjust the bike. This is by far my favorite Rome activity of the trip.

We began at sunset for with a tutorial on how to ride segways, and felt very safe, confident, and comfortable after receiving instruction. The sites were so beautiful at night and Marco had such great knowledge and stories to share with us. He had a really unique way of explaining Roman history that taught me more than I had learned on any other tour. With Marco we visited Trevi Fountain, Navona Square, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Forum of Traiano, Temple of Hadrian, Palazzo Montecitorio, and Colonna Square. There are elements with VR too! She had great recommendations for other things to do and places to eat in Rome. Marco is friendly and a great chef. There was only one other person in the pasta making class with me, so it felt like a private session. I enjoyed every aspect of the class from going to the market to making everything by hand. I stayed in Rome for 4 days and the pasta making class was the best thing that I did in Rome! I would definitely come back to Rome and do it again.
