The employees at this location were very helpful and nice. Check in was easy and not stressful. You get checked in one at a time on a rolling basis upon arriving. There was one person taking a break in the lobby when I arrived and everyone else was busy taking tests. I sort of expected to have to wait with 10-15 people and go in at the same time but that was by far not the case which was nice. I was able to start my test about an hour early. When you go here, there's basically one room with about 30 people taking different tests around you. You're sitting in a little cubicle directly next to other people but separately by a little short fabric wall behind and to the sides of your computer. You can bring unwrapped cough drops in a plastic bag to help you if you start coughing and also a clear plastic bottle of water with no wrapper. They give you everything else for your test like a calculator, pen, and scratch paper. The chairs that you sit on are like rolling office chairs with decent fabric cushion which was comfortable. They have headphones there- the ones you might wear to a racetrack to block out noise. I tried those for the first ten minutes and couldn't get comfortable in them but you can also bring foam ear plugs which could help. It wasn't too loud to focus other than people coughing occasionally. They have lockers with numbered keychain locks for you to use during your test for free and I was able to fit my purse with snacks in it. When you take a break you cannot look at study material or a phone but can grab a snack and use the bathroom. They have two bathrooms right around the corner when you step out of the computer room. They were relatively clean. I was really nervous and anxious but getting there early and being checked in by very good employees made me feel less stressed. read more

I've tested here 3 times, and the staff was amazing every visit. Their kindness, and the environment they set is really a relief, especially being nervous about tests. I used Prometric recently to take the project management professional (PMP) exam. The site is located in a strip mall off Phillips Highway. Upon entering you must sign in and show ID, in order that they can verify your identity. Some exams require finger printing, but mine did not. You have to pull out your pockets and shake your hoodie, to show that you are not sneaking anything into the exam room. They are pretty serious about security as they should be. The test room was comfortable and you are provided noise cancellation headphones. But they were too tight and hurt my ears so I could not use them. Thankfully, everyone in the room while I was testing was pretty quiet. You are permitted to take a break if you need to for the restroom or a drink of water as you are not permitted to take anything in the exam room except two tissues, which must remain in plain view on the desk. They provide scratch paper and pencil as well as a calculator. But if you choose to leave the room you must sign out and back in and go through the pocket check protocol once more. The staff was friendly and helpful and when I completed my exam, which I passed, they were genuinely happy for me. The office was clean and the temperature was comfortable. But I would suggest taking a jacket in case you get chilly. It was a good experience and I would use this testing site again if I decide to pursue additional certifications in my field. read more

I've been taking all of my medical licensing exams here and this is my favorite prometric. Everyone who works here deserves so much credit. Recently, with the coronavirus, there have been a lot of exam cancellations. A lot of frustrated students and confusion with prometric, especially the main help line. I called this office and the gentleman on the phone was so helpful and nice, even offered to walk me through the website to find info about other testing centers. When I have been there in the past to take exams, the ladies have been so nice and helpful. Not just regular nice, but make stressed out students feel better nice. It goes a long way when you're worn out from studying for a big exam. Great place to take an exam, peaceful location. Amazing employees. read more

My spouse and I had appointments to take our LANA certification by proctor the end of April. Neither of us could successfully even begin the examinations after waiting an entire day for their proctors to come online, even after escalating to technical support and our professional organization brought Sean Colton, the owner of the parent company, in to assist. We lost income and wasted an entire day away from patients and tons of time and expense in preparing for the exam. Had an exam scheduled during the 2 weeks? Of the hurricane Dorian. Called less than 48 hours out of the exam, was in hold for 30 minutes to find out the exam was cancelled for less than 48 hours later but they weren't notifying people until the following morning (over 12 hours away). This is an absolutely unprofessional response, that they knew they were closing and did not notify anyone. In Jacksonville many people will be dealing with the bridge closures as we were, and we almost had to pay for a hotel to stay across the bridge because we thought the test center would be open, but apparently they had already decided it would be closed and decided to wait over 15 hours to less than 24 hours in advance to notify those taking the test. This is an absolutely unprofessional response to an already stressful time for those test taking. Inexcusable, and then the reschedule was weeks away in the Atlanta location because the Jax location couldn't accommodate for months. People should have been notified immediately without spending time tracking down the information, no excuses. read more

I would assume that every person that walks into this establishment is nervous. The staff there though does an excellent job of helping to calm the nerves by taking a very friendly approach. When you arrive they require that you put all personal belongings into lockers so that you are unable to use anything during the testing period. They check everything from your watch to your wallet. It is also the very first time that I have ever been security wanded to take a test. The Establishment is very clean and offers testing for approximately 25 people. They do a very good job of monitoring the location and ensuring that people are working alone. They also ensure that the environment stays quiet and you're able to focus on the test. read more

No one enjoys taking standardized tests but this location makes the process as pleasant as possible. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Everything was by the book as far as check in and testing. Occasionally these sites have employees that can be hostile or condescending but I didn't experience any of that here. The noise canceling headphones removed all distractions and allowed me to focus on my exam. Temperature was neither too hot or too cold. Plenty of parking and easy central location. read more

We took our USMLE test in Jacksonville, FL (2) weeks ago. This was our second time at this location. Just wanted to say again Thank You to Ms. Yvonne & Cindy for making this experience less stressful. Most of our co workers and classmate in PR all agree that this is the best place to test, and not be stressed out. I want to first state that I have taken 2 test within a month at this location and did well on both of these test. The pros: easy to find, flexible testing times, super nice and friendly staff The cons: flexible testing times(it becomes an annoyance), the sound dampening of this facility is sub-par (even while wearing ear-muffs), swaying temperatures regardless of the time of day, numerous squeaking chairs in the test room, and overly used single door to the test room While taking both test I was plagued with other test takers and proctors coming and going(this test center offers multiple test varied in length) through the whining and thudding door. I also experienced a frenzy of people rocking in their chairs which wouldnt have been bothersome if many of them werent squeaking profusely. I dressed in layers to adjust to the temperatures swings i experienced the first time.....it didnt help. To add to the noise problem, frequent road noises can be heard as the center is located next to a road that becomes loud during rush hours and mealtimes. Sadly if youre in Jacksonville this is the only GRE test center that I have found so youre S.O.L. I have taken other standardized test and have never experienced the noise levels as this place has. A huge improvement would be additional sound proofing to the test room mostly the door, oiling or repairing noisy chairs, and limiting test room entrance and exits. read more

Took a nursing certification exam here. The staff is really nice and it's kept clean and quiet. There were a lot of people at 8:30, and the lady at the front called me by a different girls name and kept calling me back on accident, but it made me laugh and really alleviated some test anxiety. Hi, I went to take usmle step 1 and step 2 ck to this prometric center. I loved the experience. Very cozy, not cold not hot, just the perfect temperature to think. They provide coffee!! Yvonne and Cindy were good instructing me with everything. I was very nervous both times and I will never forget how Yvonne calmed me and make me feel like I was going to ace both test, which happened!! Her energy and vibes help me in each break that I took. I remember that after finishing step 2 ck, she was very very happy for me. This quality is not found in most people and I will be taking step 3 in this prometric center because of her. Just wanted to comment on how friendly the staff are at this Prometric facility. I have tested at other Prometric facilities in a different part of the country- not that the staff were not professional they just were not friendly like the ladies at this facility. It is quiet and well monitored. Not that you get a choice in where to test for many of these qualifying exams but just so if your wanting to know the atmosphere hopefully this review helps. read more

My colleague and I test at the location in Jacksonville, Fl on Friday, July 5, 2019. We drove from Tenn. to test here. The reviews from other STEPS/COMLEX previous takers are amazing. On Friday we met Yvonne and Cindy, they are amazing. The way they relax you and make you comfortable to prepare for test day. It was heartfelt as we completed our day. We really hope that they are rewarded by Prometric for their amazing gift of communication, patience and being mindful. There was another lady their earlier, but she wasn't there when we left.
