Location: Easy to find but also easy to pass and drive by. Note that their office is located inside the Kailua Business Center. They are located on the 3rd floor. Go through the entrance on the 1st floor, and use the elevator on your left or right to go up to the 3rd floor. When you exit the elevators, go straight down that hallway and they will be the last door on your left before the hallway bends to more offices (they usually leave the door open unless they're testing). Parking: Their building has no public parking so don't turn into their building. If you can find any street parking in front or on that street, that will be your closest walk. If not, there across street at the intersection from the building leads to a public metered parking garage on your right or public open metered parking lot on your left (same lot you'd park to eat at Cinnamon's restaurant). Service: I can see how the view of customer service is not the greatest here. The little Asian lady described in a few comments can come across as abrasive and blunt. But she's actually a nice person when catching her at a good time. She does have a lot on her plate but yes, she could be a little more polite and a little less blunt. But be your best self and maybe you can help brighten her day. If you're prepared with your documents and your processing goes smoothly, she's nice lol. If you have too many redundant questions, she may give you a look like you didn't read any instructions before arriving at their office or answers may come off a bit snarky (but don't take it personally) lol. Again, assume good intent and just be kind. You never know if someone is having a bad day. Documentation: USE BLACK INK ONLY TO FILL OUT FORMS TO BE SAFE (blue can be acceptable but just make sure you fill it all out in ONE color only as it is a formal document). Be sure to have your form of ID, your certificate of completion from your CNA class, your forms already filled out and ready to go, and your form of payment ready to go. Note: if you pay with card, they're not digitalized here - she will have you write your card info on a manual form and file it for when it is time to charge you for your exam (we hope they have a shredding policy as any business should). When filling out the application form, here are some tips for first time applicants: For the application form you fill out the following sections: -CANDIDATE INFORMATION -CERTIFICATION OPTION/ELIGIBILTY (Select Route 1 - for first time testing candidates) -TRAINING INFORMATION (CNA School Information + completion date and total # hours completed (112 hours is the minimum requirements for hours I believe) (verify with your school for this number) -ADDITIONAL MANDATORY QUESTIONS (these should all be checked off as NO) == skip route 2 section == -TEST SITE INFORMATION (select regional test site and select Oahu-West (or whichever site is closest to you)) -EXAM SELECTION AND FEES (select written test and clinical skills test) And then you sign where it says APPLICANT'S SIGNATURE Also note: if you don't pass the first time, you will need to redo this entire process again. Forms and all. But if you pass partially either written or skills tests, you will only need to redo the one you don't pass so you only need to pay for the one you didn't pass again. If you don't pass both, you need to pay for both again. And you will need to fill out that credit card authorization form again as well (again we hope they shred these after). Wasn't hard to find and with the new Covid precautions and limited amount of people to take the test, there was plenty of street parking. You're not allowed to park in their building according to their instructions.. 10minutes is 25cents, that's absurd... Bring 2 number 2 pencils with a good eraser on top, original letter they mailed, your mask and your ID. No phones, watches, hats allowed inside. Results are mailed 10 days after you've taken the test. Arrive promptly at your time of testing, no earlier or later as instructed. Good luck!! read more

Just HORRIBLE. Lauren was very rude. She answered the phone professionally, but everything after that was just horrible. Not a pleasant person to speak to especially when I asked questions about what I need to do before taking the exam. She blurted, "WELL DO YOU HAVE THE CERTIFICATE FROM THE SCHOOL YOU TRAINED AT???" Im really neutral about this one. Unless if I am planning on holding other licenses like massage, or esthetician... I doubt I'll ever visit here again for myself. I would definitely be happy to show friends and colleagues where the tests are held and help save them the hassle of parking! If you're not a great test taker to begin with, having other things of inconvenience such as parking can definitely throw you off that much more from your game. Definitely plan to come early to scope out street parking. Tests are held promptly on time so also leave some time for a last minute restroom break. Luckily there is a bathroom there. Of course women's restrooms for some reason is busy so again, breathing room for time! Before the tests are held, everyone gathers in the hallway so bring your study guide or book for last minute cramming as well. I was told to bring at least 2 #2 pencils. After every one received their test papers, pencils were offered... but still, bring your own just in case. I'm guessing to avoid cheating, tests were given out a bit randomly. Also, I'm sure same test date/time is for a variety of licences, so of course different tests. Everyone starts at the same time. As you finish, you're able to leave right away. If you come prepared everything is smooth and painless. I even remember when I submitted my application to test, the employees were very helpful with information and extra tips/resources pertaining to Hawaii's laws. I personally didn't have a bad experience here, it's just the mere fact that I'm an awful test taker with crazy anxiety. Naturally my experience here wouldn't be an amazing one but it also wasn't horrible so that's a win I guess. I don't know why some people say that they are super rude. When I had walked in, I was with my boyfriend, and I was so needing to use the restroom. So before asking anything about signing up for services, I asked for the bathroom key. She gladly handed it over. She also greeted us when we walked in the door. The short more oriental woman at the reception was very knowledgeable and kind. But the woman, in the room with blonde hair is a little over the top. She did not look approachable at all. But, I guess if you need to administer proctored exams it is necessary to have a straight face and intimidating look. Why? Because some crooks may come in to cheat the system and take advantage of these women. Great job! Just do your job; no matter what.. people are still there trying to test whether they like the attitude or not. read more

Absolutely rude and unprofessional on many levels. The first time I submitted a MAIL IN application with my cc info to be scheduled for an exam, it took over 2 weeks to get any communication regarding my application status. I was called to come in but was not able to make it on short notice and rescheduled w/o a fee because they haven't charged my card yet. Fast forward to the day I take the exam. I needed to retake the second portion so I called immediately after my exam to schedule something. "Sheena" answers the call and at this point, I am just being polite and asking if I am able to schedule a "skills only" appt. In the rudest tone, she tells me to submit an application through the mail. I then explain that I just took the exam and need to retake the skills (I was unaware that I needed to MAIL in another form with payment info) so I (KINDLY) ask if it is necessary if I already submitted one. With the same attitude: "YOU NEED TO MAIL IN AN APPLICATION" ..sheesh, okay! So I submit it the following day. Another two weeks and I receive an email with the "retake" date. Oh, looks like I can't make it. So I call to reschedule because well, I WASN'T ABLE TO EVEN HAVE A SAY IN MY TESTING DATE, as if I don't have things to do/take care of in my life? And they say they're going to have to charge a rescheduling fee. Like, seriously? I'm then told something along the lines of "Our tests are small with only 8 people so we don't have the time to call each person to schedule the exam" I won't get a refund if I cancel but I'll be charged $25 if I can't make it to something I didn't even actively sign up for. ($150-200/CNA test depending on which test you need) I speak to a kind woman who gives me this info. Obviously I'm irate but I tell her "I know it's not your fault but---" I'm put on hold and lo and behold, I speak to my best friend Sheena again, who gives me the same attitude (why am I surprised). I even tell HER I know it's not her fault but I shouldn't be paying for something I didn't even agree to. Continues to be a b*tch to me. Puts me on hold. Kinder lady comes back on but she starts cutting me off when I try to say something and this call is just getting beyond ridiculous. She tells me I can't get a refund because its stated on my app (she is correct) but I should've been aware of the fact that they won't contact me to tell me they got my app/to schedule something because it's stated on the website. NO IT IS NOT. I understand that test groups are small but you can't just schedule someone (she said they at least scheduled me 2 weeks ahead so I should be able to get work off.. yeah, that's not how the world works and my schedule was already made so) and then charge them when they can't come in. The least a REGIONAL OFFICE could do is allow a candidate to have date options, even if it's not a whole open calendar to choose from. It's so sad to say that the only Prometric office in Hawaii is filled with such joyous customer service reps. If you hate your job so much, do something about it instead of taking it out on innocent candidates. Thank you for making a simple process complicated and costly. read more

Went in for an exam and the two short big ladies administering it were completely and unnecessary rude. The way they treat people that come in are unacceptable. You shouldn't back talk someone that asks you a simple question. On top of that they look a total mess. Prometric needs to fix this little problem of theirs because it's disgusting. read more
