From the moment we walked into Butterfly Kisses Pavilion we fell in love with the venue. We did not ask for much... just for a stress-free wedding and absolutely no white at the venue. Nonetheless, we were stressed out, lied to, and received white flowers that were disposed of from the wedding the night before. If I did not have mutual friends on Facebook, you would have pocketed almost $1300 for flowers/ greenery we never received (Since everything was reused from the day before). Thank God I have trustworthy friends that look out for me. Something you did not do for my husband and I on our wedding day. Thanks for the refund on the flowers though. As for the wedding day management services that you promised to refund in full ($700) and only did half. Please keep the money as you obviously need it more than me. I just do not think it is fair that you are lying to the other people on the reviews saying you only promised half. Laura, You, and Me talked on the phone together when you promised to refund me in FULL. In the text messages between you and the bride (who's wedding was the day before ours) you said, "I did struggle with timing of my day and will admit I used boutonnieres that I found to eliminate the need to put together a few less than I had to do." Katrina- we did not want any white in the wedding. You reused ALL the flowers/greenery from Laura's wedding on June 4th, 2022. Moving on, you said directly "I cannot coordinate back-to-back weddings and do flowers and lighting. I had too much on my plate that caused me to not perform my best for that second couple" MY HUSBAND AND I WERE THE SECOND COUPLE. It will forever upset me that our wedding was just dollar signs to you. AFTER MY WEDDING KATRINA POSTED THE PICTURE OF MY HUSBAND AND I AND DELETED IT BECAUSE SHE CLAIMED THE WORK OF ANOTHER FLOREST FOR THE FLOWERS SHE DISPOSED OF AND REUSED FOR MY WEDDING. QUOTE FROM KATRINA:"Regarding claiming the flowers, I definitely shouldn't have done so with those images. I removed the post immediately when you pointed it for both reasons of not knowing what we would say to each other but also because that image didn't have my work in it." She admitted that it was not her work, but MY HUSBAND AND I PAID FOR HER WORK. Again, this is untrustworthy of a business, and she committed fraud. Did I mention the stressful part yet? As she mentioned in the texts messages that our wedding was not a priority, we did not receive the lights we wanted or a rehearsal before the wedding. If a meeting 20 minutes prior to the ceremony is professional to any person getting married here than so be it. But we arrived 3 and a half hours prior to the ceremony to REHEARSE the wedding, but the venue was not even close to being ready yet. My day was falling apart right between my eyes. So Katrina- PLEASE stop lying to the other people that left reviews saying this has been resolved. Laura and I will never forget what you did to us. IT WILL LIVE WITH US FOREVER. My wedding day was beautiful, but the services you provided were unprofessional and sneaky. We had people dancing to various types of music and singing karaoke from an extensive list of song choices. They were wonderful, down to earth, people who truly love their job! They stayed past the time of our contract which kept the party rolling into the late evening hours. There were lights, music, dancing, and some crazy singing! So we ended up in Dover and after a short history of the summers and Christmases I spent climbing the red bricks of the Volunteer Fire Department, and the train tracks where my Uncle Billy told me that a murderer jumped off the night train as it screeched through town, and hunted for little boys and girls who hadn't gone to sleep when they were supposed to, We found ourselves on the other side of Railroad St. on S. Main. The fact that it was a restaurant kind of snuck up on me as we were trying to turn around...then We both caught whiff of something fried and delicious. We parked and went in. The interior isn't anything special, but it is sparkling clean, organized, and the vibes were _everything. _ The food smells were so familiar...like arms wrapping around us in welcome. The people were happy and talkative in the brash, strident way that people in small town N.C. are. They sound excited, irritated, caring, encouraging, scolding, and vaguely amazed all at once. And they do it at twice the volume that's socially acceptable in most places People, women mostly, in small town N.C. talk plainly, sweetly, excitedly, and somewhat loudly because they learned to as a child. They learned it was the voice they needed in order to be heard over brothers and sisters and cousins, and dismissive adults at the dinner table. It's all part of the authentic concern taken to make sure "you get enough to eat? You want more potatoes? You don't look like you eat enough." and it never feels overwhelming or intrusive. As I said, I had fried chicken. It definitely rivaled the stuff I used to eat right up the road at Grandmama Thelma's house. The Green House just one lot off of Kornegay. Again the baked beans were better than any I'd ever had. My friend had the shrimp tacos and absolutely loved them. I had to say I felt the same way. The shrimp tasted fresh, not rubbery, and whatever was in the sauce was addictive. Long story short: hit this place up. Trish Dish isn't fancy, but it is high quality comfort food that is priced really well and you will not be disappointed. You can come as you are. I'm not even sure you have to have shirts and shoes on. The food will make you feel like you came home to grandma's house, and she's making all your favorite foods to celebrate you being home....and everyone is happy to see you.

Everything was fantastic and I dare say the pork chop was the best I ever had in a restaurant (and I am not even sure I need to qualify that with "in a restaurant"). I do not plan to be in this area long, but I expect I will make quite a few visits to Trish Dish before I leave town.

The people that delivered and set up our tents were extremely friendly, prompt and showed us how to take off and put on the tent tops (because we wanted to use only the frames).
