Not professional at all. No communication or customer service skills at all. Take your money and time elsewhere.

Based on my personal experience as an independent contractor with this brokerage, I would not…read morerecommend working here. During my time with the company, I was a top-producing agent who closed a substantial number of transactions and contributed significantly to the brokerage's success. Despite my production and dedication, I found there was very little support for professional growth, education, mentorship, or advancement. When I later sought a Broker Experience Certification as part of my pursuit of a broker's license, my other former principal brokers promptly signed the required documentation. Unfortunately, my experience with this brokerage was very different. I felt unnecessary obstacles were placed in my path, despite years of successful transactions and documented experience. Fortunately, the DCCA provides procedures for applicants when difficulties arise in obtaining broker certification from former supervising brokers. I was particularly frustrated by being asked to provide extensive documentation for transactions that had already been completed under the brokerage's supervision. As an agent who closed millions of dollars in sales volume, I found the process unnecessarily burdensome and inconsistent with my experience elsewhere. Over time, I became increasingly disappointed by what I perceived as a lack of support, professionalism, and respect for the agents who helped build the company. I invested substantial time, energy, resources, and loyalty into the brokerage, often going well beyond the scope of my role. Looking back, I do not feel those efforts were valued or reciprocated. My former Broker-in-Charge, whose name appeared as the supervising broker on my transactions, benefited from significant contributions of my time, effort, and resources throughout my tenure. In return, I expected professionalism, support, and fair treatment during my career advancement process. The work environment and leadership culture ultimately led me to leave. Based on my experience, I would encourage anyone considering joining this brokerage to thoroughly research their options and speak with both current and former agents before making a decision. My time with this company was one of the most disappointing professional experiences of my career. In trying to get my Brokers license I was asked to reconstruct years of work history on a week-by-week basis, including documenting days worked, hours worked, tasks performed, and clients served. I viewed this request as an unnecessary administrative burden that created obstacles to my broker licensing process rather than facilitating it. Not a supportive environment. This review reflects my personal opinions and experiences. Others may have had different experiences, but mine was overwhelmingly negative, and I cannot recommend this brokerage.

I hired Jordan to rent out my house while I was on Oahu pursuing graduate work…read more At first things went pretty well. Jordan's email communications were abrupt to the point of rudeness, but that would have been tolerable except for what happened next. Four months into the contract, the renter moved out; at the same time, some mold was discovered in the house. At that point, Jordan terminated the (supposedly 12-month) contract; they told me to fix the mold myself and then, when the house was clean, to contact them for another contract. Even though they had not given the requisite period of notice, I allowed them to terminate the contract since I didn't want someone managing my property who will suddenly quit on me like that. As a result, (off-island the whole time) I had to research Big Island mold inspectors--and then mold remediators--all the while calling in favors from friends to hold the house keys and meet the inspectors, insurance adjustors, remediators, etc. I had hired Jordan precisely so I would NOT have to do these things myself long-distance, and they deliberately chose not to fulfill their contract. Jordan charges a somewhat smaller fee than some other management companies, and they trumpet the fact that they do not charge you the fee if your house is not being rented. Unfortunately, what that means in practice is that if they don't have renters for your property, they will do as little as possible (because it's not making them money)--and if substantial problems arise, then they will quickly throw you under the bus. Bottom line, Jordan abandoned me when I needed their services the most. I have now found much better property managers in the Hilo area, and I thus advise everyone to stay clear of Jordan.
