Took my sons boat here for service. Very quick, same day one trip, within the week 2nd trip. Fixed what needed done, and gave it a good looking at found a few other things that "legitimately" needed fixed. Made a call to Mercury and got a fairly significant repair under warranty even though it officially expired 5 weeks prior. First trip I waited for the boat, and mechanic came out and showed me what he found multiple times. I am pretty mechanical myself, and these guys weren't trying to sell me service I didn't need, they were just being honest and doing what was right. After multiple shady car mechanics and Chevy dealers I have found in the Springfield area, these guys are top notch. read more

We've had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with the service at Pro Choice Marine. We initially brought our boat in because the trim was not functioning properly. After picking it up and taking it to the lake, we found that although the trim now worked, the boat would not start due to a dead battery. We purchased and installed a new battery ourselves, only to find the boat was still shuddering and lacking power. We called Pro Choice and were advised to use premium fuel and a fuel additive, which also failed to resolve the issue. This led to our second trip back to Pro Choice. We were told an emergency switch had been repaired, and the boat was returned to us. Once again, when we launched it, the boat wouldn't start. We had to manually load it back on the trailer and return it for a third time. After yet another repair to a switch, we were told everything was ready. But during our third attempt to use the boat, we discovered that none of the electrical components--including the radio, Bimini top, lights, and horn--had any power. We returned the boat for a fourth time. At that point, we were informed that the problem was simply that we hadn't turned the master switch on--a switch we have used for three years without issue. When we called to express our frustration over the repeated service failures, the service manager deflected responsibility by suggesting there might be electrical problems at our dock, or that we didn't understand how to operate the switch. Rather than acknowledging the repeated inconvenience, oversight, and lack of proper testing before returning the boat, we were blamed for user error. After four visits, the problem still wasn't properly diagnosed or verified. This experience reflects a lack of thoroughness, accountability, and basic customer service. We sincerely hope Pro Choice Marine takes this as an opportunity to improve the way they handle diagnostics, testing, and customer communication going forward. read more

I have a Ranger RT198P that i purchased from them and i was talking to a very rude girl in the parts department and she was confused and not understanding what part i was trying to inquire about so all i said was your not listening to what i am trying to tell you. So i said listen to me very closely and before i could get the next words out of my mouth she started saying sir if your going to have an attitude i will get someone else to help you and i said an attitude and she just kept talking over me and would not let me talk. I told her that i was recording the call and maybe her manager might like to hear what she said she said she didn't care. She must be a relative of the owner or manager not to care that she was rude and over powering she just kept talking over me . And then when she put another person on the phone to help me i said i don't know what's wrong with the girl that was helping me and she was still on the phone listening and she say's sir i can hear you i am on speaker real nasty like. WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON THESE DAYS WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE. Very disappointing. Bought new boat from existing inventory, paid cash and have had constant problems that Pro Choice has not been able to correct. My next call is going to be to Ranger and if necessary will take boat to Springfield to get help while still under warranty. Problem 1 - seats had pin holes and were replaced. Problem 2 - bilige pump came loose and drained AGM Glassmat battery, reattached bilige pump. Problem 3 - depth finder had wrong cable causing misreads, new cable sent to me and I had to install it. Problem 4- aeration pump failed, replaced. Problem 5 - blown fuses in aeration pump, larger fuse installed. Problem 6 - outboard motor battery not holding charge, battery charger replaced. Problem 7 - boat trailer recall, corrected. Problem 8- main battery still has charging issues despite Pro Choice saying charger and battery are good. Can you say "lemon law"? Driving this boat round trip is a 4 hours plus gas. I bought this boat mid July, getting the feeling that I'm going to get the run around until the warranty runs out. Would appreciate discussing a thorough resolution with someone responsible for Pro Choice Customer Service. Taking the boat back today. read more

Stopped by with a Ranger warrantee issue and they were very rude and combative in our discussion. Uninterested in trying to present the problem to Ranger. I also had 2 recalls on my motor I asked how long it would take to get it in. He said"you can leave it and we'll get to it in a couple of weeks." I asked if I could make an appointment and bring it in when they are close to ready for it. His response " that's not how we do things". His mannerism was very rude and arrogant. Monday my boat developed a knocking sound so I took it to Pro's Choice Marine in Warsaw Missouri and dropped it of. Tuesday I spoke with the service Manager, and was told my lower unit needed to be replaced. Tuesday afternoon I get a call that the lower unit has been replaced under warranty and a couple other minor things done I requested. This quick turn around really impressed me. Horrible customer service. No follow through. Bought a month ahead of time to insure proper delivery for when I got into town. My concerns / needs has fallen of deaf ears with the owner Luke Payne. They Delivered boat from Missouri to Texas. Tires have curb rash, no power pole switches. They didn't tell me ahead about the switches. Driver didn't tell me about the curb rash. if I wouldn't have called o tell them about it. Things wouldn't be addressed Switches are on back order ? then why charge on MSRP they should be boat specific if Ranger is going to charge in the MSRP. No one has yet to call me to give me a walk through on the boat and explain how to work the motor and boat options. I have asked the owner Luke Payne for this many times no call yet it's been a week. No discount given on boat paid full price which I accepted but I expect full price customer service and that hasn't happened. I should have stayed with my local dealers. Learning mistake. read more

I was happy with the boat I purchased from these guys last year, but I am over the freaking moon about them now. Recently drove to Warsaw to look at a newer larger boat, and was talking to Luke about trade in value on mine. I was STUNNED when he shot me a value well over 90% of my initial purchase price. I bought my boat from boat from Pros choice marine one year ago everything was good until I brought it in for warranty work. When I brought my boat and I was told that I had hit something and they would not cover my boat under warranty and I brought it in because the trim motor was trimming itself down. They told me that I would have to file an insurance claim to fix my boat that I had and my shaft which was causing all these issues. At this point me and my wife thought something fishy was going on so I brought my boat to basspro and found out that the part that needed to be fixed was a no-win service issue and that it is covered by warranty and even if I had hit something and it would not of caused the problems I was having. Pros choice marine as a bunch of crooks looking to not only not cover warranty work But make money off their customers and their insurance companies I would steer clear And buy your boat somewhere else save you the headache in the long run read more

I WAS MISLEAD! After driving 1200 miles one way to pick up my dream boat I quickly realized I had been deceived. Luke told me over the phone that this boat was in new condition, it only had 69 hours, what could be wrong with it. Now after seeing it I'm thinking... what couldn't of been wrong with that boat. It was obvious this boat had been regel-coated, and flooded(see pictures). There were 4" of water in the engine compartment when I arrived. It took 10 minutes to pump it out. The interior that I requested more pictures of and was denied becuase Luke was to busy and didn't have time, literally his exact words on the phone, was rotting after 4 years of neglect and sun damage. When confirming the VIN number impressed in the hull by the factory I discovered it had been altered. It didn't even match the paperwork that they had. After question Luke about all the problems and the gel-coat and the interior damage he simply said....well I guess you can't buy it. WHAT! I drove 2400 miles as you assured me this boat was IN NEW CONDITION. No way would I recommend this dealer to ANYONE! I was soooo mislead by Luke and this dealer in so many ways. I passed so many other dealers along the way, you can choose to buy somewhere else. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. Luke had no remorse that I drove 48 hours 2400 miles, took 2 days off of working costing $1500 to be fooled by him and this dealer. read more

Had an amazing experience. I searched on boat trader and found they had the best prices! so much better that I drove from Wisconsin 10 hours to buy a used boat from them. I got there and everything was exactly as it was described. paperwork took no time. the only thing that could have made this experience better is if they gave me the boat for free haha. read more
