I realized almost 1 year later, called and spoke to YEN. It has been (3) MONTHS (so 14mo since overpayment for services) and I have made at least 4 calls, most with the aid of an Insurance Advocate. Three times YEN told us they had to send to the Manager and once FRANK said they'd process the refund to the CC from which the original payment was made. Now, I am being told that because it is from the prior year that in order for the refund to process, they would have to reimburse the WHOLE AMOUNT (to the credit card) and re-charge the correct amount, in order for the refund to be issued. THIS IS ABSURD! It's a measly $15.20 and they can't cough it up and write a check??! And THEY KNOW THEY OWE THE FUNDS!!! He gave the name and number of this so-called "Manager" at the request of my Advocate. After disconnecting with Yen, my Advocate and I updated the records of this latest collection attempt, and she will provide Grievance papers so the situation can be presented formally to UHC. I was advised that the matter should be reported to the IL Atty General Health Care Bureau 877-305-5145. This will be my next step. We will NEVER step foot in this office again!

I waited for about 10 minutes then a person that was discharged had a question for the intake person about where his prescription was sent, which she took the time to try and answer before checking me in (which was fine at the time). When she finished with the discharged patient, she begins my check in and asks me to verify my address. She then stepped away and when she returned told me she had just been told that they could not see anyone else that day. I did not take the time to discuss the unfairness and ridiculousness of this decision as my ride had just told me he was going to run an errand while I waited to be seen. I wanted to catch him before he left, because I didn't want to be stranded. This was easily the worst experience with a medical office reception area. It is now abundantly clear why your ratings are so low. If anyone in this office has a goal to improve that for 2026, you really need to take time to train people when and under what circumstances to stop seeing patients.

So I called for an appointment and was told she could see me on August 18 (today is July 2). I have prescriptions that have to be monitored and maintained, and I also have a very painful issues with my arm. I don't think either can wait for August 18. They are two separate appointments and they won't combine them: one is "to establish care" and the other is an illness visit. Once I see her as a "wellness visit" on August 18, I would be able to "get in quicker" to see her in the future. For now, if I'd like to be seen and monitored by "someone else" who has more availability in their schedule I could do that. Well, I've had a terrible experience with a doctor in Chicago that left me with ongoing medical issues that could have been prevented. So I did my research and selected someone I felt I could trust. I was so very lucky to have that in New Orleans (from where I just moved) and I just wanted that again. I don't really want to see "someone else" that I don't know anything about and waiting 6+ weeks to see a doctor I researched heavily. So while I can't really rate Dr. Boyd herself, this is a warning to those who are looking for a doctor: even though her site says she is accepting new patients, I don't think she really has time for them. Be sure you can wait six weeks before seeing her if you choose her. I get why she's busy -- she's good. But why advertise that you're accepting new patients when you really don't have time for someone who needs you?

If 'sleep tests' are such a pertinent part of headache study, how come I wasn't universally scheduled another one, or even suggested another one by any of my other half a dozen neurologists? As I stated previously, I was informed that sleep tests are MAINLY administered for patients with SLEEP APNEA OR SLEEP PROBLEMS (not getting enough sleep, fluctuating hours of sleep, erratic sleep, etc) which then may in turn be triggering possible migraines. I had a sleep test thru my very first neurologist at Loyola, and I was never diagnosed with any 'sleep issues'. C. Dr. Wilson became agitated and eventually rude when I as a patient tried to email or call him with my concerns about my regimine, medicines, or just other random issues I was having in between visits. And this was NOT because of me 'being rude or bothering him', per say..I am very respectful, friendly and am very passive. If the fact alone of my Relpax shipment being signed for by his staff, and gone missing out of his office isn't enough of a red flag for this office's overall 'wackiness', I am not sure what is. The consistent 1 to 1.5 hour appointment waits will probably turn you off first, though. Not saying there isn't ever a slight wait at doctors offices, but usually it is manageable - maybe 20 minutes to half hour at MOST. (Dr. Wilson's excuse of 'time with my patient is my primary focus' is him simply bloviating, in my opinion. If that is your true focus, stop 'over-scheduling' patients and thus dis-servicing other patients by making them wait extremely long periods, then?). Dr. Wilson simply schedules TOO many patients for one set day of hours. The more patients you squeeze in, the more $$ one makes. Simple math.
