In the past we've agonized over finding a new contractor or handyman who not only did good work but didn't hit us with questionable or surprise charges, but from the time we first found Eric's business profile on Facebook with examples of his gorgeous tile work and had him redo our bathroom floor, we haven't needed to find anyone else. He has redone the tile in both our bathrooms and our shower (looks absolutely amazing and we are SO pleased with it!), installed toilets, bathroom vanities, painted our hallway and bedrooms, and helped us switch out a ceiling fan with a ceiling-flush fixture with multiple lighting settings, and installed a new mailbox (w/post). We gave him a key to go into the house while we were out of town to install a cover plate for an empty outlet box; he fit it in on short notice so the listing photos for our house would look good. Not only has he done great work on everything, but he's a clear and kind communicator. In the past I've had contractors be very short with me and make me feel foolish for asking detailed questions about aspects of the work we're having done (not great for my anxiety), but Eric has always been extremely gracious and patient. He broke down the process of how the tiling job would go when I asked, he's shown me the most efficient way to patch nail holes and use tools properly, and during the first job we hired him for (as I was just getting comfortable with power tools and DIY projects) he took the time to show me how to properly (and safely) replace the blade on my miter saw! To boot, he's good with our large dogs which is a big deal for us having had many fosters and adopted a few rescues of our own. We can't recommend Eric and his work highly enough. Quality, fair prices, good communication, and trustworthy! Once you hire him for a job, you'll never need to look elsewhere for handyman work and tiling.

The problem I keep finding myself in is that because I am not there, the crew doesn't show regularly and does as little as they can. As you can imagine, it does not take long for a large heavily wooded waterfront property to deteriorate. When that happens, I find myself having to spend a thousand or more dollars to get the yard and beach back in order. Danny promised the World and charged accordingly. He overcharged me to get the yard in order and then his crew were in and out in less than 20 minutes when they showed per the neighbors security camera. Again, I found myself in the same old spot in spite of Danny's promises. He is a poor representative for the company. Promises you the World and delivers half at best. RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: Thank you for taking the time to respond. I stand by my review. I gave Danny the list of what I needed covered on the property. He told me it was straight forward and what was included and what was extra at the time of the contract. Over and over, I went to the property and what we agreed to was not being done that was on the no extra charge side. This watering issue is nothing new. Danny kept telling me someone was messing with the timer. Why just the timer that is hidden away in a carport closet? Nothing else on the property has been messed with. Danny told me he would replace the plants that died due to the lack of water to those hanging plants. He told me on one occasion that he was trying to complete that promise but the quality of what was available was bad. When I asked again yesterday, he said I forgot about it. Now he wants a receipt from me which I did not keep. A little too late when I had to take care of it myself and now prove I did for reimbursement. He knows what plants they were and approximate cost. The issue with the front hanging plants was not the timer after all. It was the index valve failure that was only allowing watering of the backyard where a soaker hose was cut during the cleanup and there was a broken sprinkler. Did no one check the functions of the sprinklers on taking on the job? I would have happily paid the extra to have forgone the weeks and weeks of grief caused by this issue with the drip system. It was never offered to me until a day ago. I never requested Wally be pulled off his job. Instead I told Danny I would have my Destin landscape guy come and troubleshoot. Twice Danny fired me because I was concerned that the property was getting behind. When I asked the neighbor if he saw my crew, he checked his cameras and the time there was time stamped and it was 20 minutes. That was what I stated in my post and you confirmed in your response. Maybe they stayed longer on other visits that I did not know to follow up with the neighbor on. I just asked for that current week. So in closing, what Danny and I agreed to was not carried thru on a weekly basis. My shrubs in the front are filled with vines again. I had to have my landscape service in Destin come and troubleshoot and repair my irrigation system that Danny claimed was being sabotaged when in reality it was equipment failure. I could go on and on with holes in the service including illegally blowing leaves off my beach into the bayou, vines on the window screens etc etc etc... They may have hauled leaves away multiple times that had to go to the dump, but I asked them to just mulch them and they chose to do it their way. The yard has had mulched leaves for years and we like that rustic look instead of brown dirt. I have no idea the number of hours spent on cleanup by the crew, but I have had it done many times over the last 30 years and it never exceeded 800.00. I believe your invoice was closer to double that. Maybe you can tell me why it took the guys twice the time when it was in the same shape as multiple times before. To date, my 3 tree stumps from the removal of the trees at the clean up are still there. Months ago they were suppose to be ground out. I understand Covid has put a lot of pressure on service industries like yours. I tried to be understanding but tired of Danny pointing the finger at me. In my opinion, he is not an asset to your company.

My wife left a 1 star review for a job I wasn't pleased with either but it was miscommunication in regards to the crepe myrtles he cut down but didn't remove the roots and I had to rent a stump grinder to remove. She says she wanted them removed which was not clearly stating the objection and he should have asked questions to clarify. But all that said, we hired him again to trim our oak tree as did our neighbor. I would recommend him. Note that he also has all the equipment to do the job safely and properly. A basket lift, excavator with brush claw and a chipper to immediately dispose of the residue. He isn't one of those fly by night tree monkey operators he is a pro.

He could have easily cut the tree down by hand from the ground with no issues at all. This is a 6" diameter pine tree with about 4 limbs at the top and nothing else around it. It's even leaning towards a big open empty lot. Couldn't possibly be any easier of a tree to cut down. My neighbor's lot is under construction so rather than bother himself to set up on the dirt lot next door where he had all the room in the world, he decided without asking me to just drive his tracked cherry picker across my paver driveway, all the way across my whole front lawn, and over two of my sprinkler heads. I work from home and could have easily been asked. I'm glad I got out there when I did and made him get out. If he can't take ten seconds to ask a glaringly obvious question or if he could care less about damaging another person's property - do you really want to hire him to do work for you? At least I got my $250 back. I'll probably need it to repair the sprinkler system. What's even more of a kick in the balls is that I asked him to come over about a year ago to look at removing an oak tree from my backyard. He wanted $1200 and told me then that he would need to drive that machine through the side of my property, through that grass, over those sprinklers, and I told him thanks but no thanks at that point as well.
