I strongly advise against doing business with Bill…read more In my experience, Bill does not conduct business in good faith. Of note- he is not a CPA but is just a tax preparer. There is a huge difference. His services wasted both my money and a significant amount of time, and the ordeal caused prolonged and unnecessary stress. Throughout the engagement, there was no evidence of quality assurance or professional accountability. When problems arose, instead of addressing them, Bill demonized me as a customer and refused to take responsibility for his own failures. His communication was patronizing and pompous, and his overall demeanor made an already difficult situation worse. After things went sideways, Bill escalated the situation further by harassing me online rather than resolving the matter professionally. Based on how this was handled and the lack of services actually delivered, the experience felt deceptive and exploitative. In my opinion, this was a complete misrepresentation of services, and I regret trusting him. I would never work with him again and encourage others to proceed with extreme caution.

In my experience, his attitude shifted completely after receiving the initial payment. As others have mentioned, he was pompous, arrogant, and disorganized. He operates his business out of fear and foolishly chases pennies while missing out on larger opportunities. Had he provided even basic customer service, he could have built a loyal client for years to come. Instead, I would never do business with him again and strongly encourage you to consider this review (based on my direct experience with him) a major red flag. Working with Bill was absolutely egregious. I hired him primarily to delve into and complete a specific tax strategy for my real estate portfolio--an area in which he claimed to be an expert. Our initial phone conversation went mostly well. I felt confident that I found a tax professional who understood and would cater specifically to my tax needs. Boy, was I wrong. Less than two weeks before the tax deadline, he told me I needed to contact my previous CPA to essentially complete the work I had hired him to do (applying a cost segregation report). This put both me and my former CPA in a difficult position with the deadline fast approaching. Bill suggested workarounds, but they required amending multiple tax returns, adding even more complexity to an already stressful situation. Had he simply paid attention to the information I initially provided--instead of trying to pass the responsibility or get another person on the hook for money --we wouldn't have ended up in this position. Speaking of attentiveness, this was an area where he demonstrated very little proficiency. I had to remind him repeatedly about my specific tax situation, which was clearly documented via email. The process of submitting documentation to him was convoluted. He requires clients not only to upload documents but also to manually enter that same information into his software--creating unnecessary work and stress for the client. As if matters couldn't get any worse, Bill has been harassing me online because he is frustrated that I won a chargeback dispute due to key evidence that he purposely withheld crucial tax documents from me. It was also concluded and confirmed -with the IRS - that he did not file one of the tax returns that I paid him in full for.
