The only word I can use to describe my experience with this company is appalling. This was some of…read morethe worst customer service I have ever encountered. First, I received a text stating that a lawn-care technician was on the way. Almost immediately--before I could even walk outside--I received another message saying the service had been completed. My bank account was then charged $97. I reviewed the security-camera footage from the front of my home. The cameras clearly recorded me standing outside waiting, but there was no footage showing a technician arriving or any lawn work being performed. When I contacted Jennifer, her only response was essentially, "Yes, he was there." If the cameras captured me in the yard, they should also have captured the technician and the work being completed. The weekly garden-care service was equally disappointing. Nothing--and I mean nothing--was done to my front garden. However, the $18 charge was promptly withdrawn from my account. When I complained, Jennifer told me the workers would not pull weeds because they might accidentally remove a flower or another plant I wanted to keep. I specifically requested that the worker knock on my door so I could point out the weeds and unwanted growth that needed to be removed. No one knocked, and nothing was removed. After these repeated issues, I canceled the service. Jennifer asked why because she needed to explain the cancellation to the general manager. I honestly had to laugh. Attention, General Manager: this review explains exactly why I canceled. Based on my experience, I strongly caution others before hiring this company. I was repeatedly charged for services that I could not verify were performed, and my concerns were dismissed rather than properly investigated or resolved.

Paid this man $500 last yr., 2024, to install Christmas lights... lied in his Thumbtack answer to…read moremy review.. this is where I picked him up from... Thumbtack ! We had a deal that he would hang lights for $500 and take them down Jan 3. His answer to my review I gave on Thumbtack was he offered $400. He did not. I told him it is a job where you have get up there and hang the lights and then come and take them off. It's a big job so I will give you $500. I had to go and take them down myself, then the day after, either texts / emails saying I'd be happy to come and take your lights down ... after the fact... should have only paid half to hang the lights at first, then the other half when taken down. His is a Kingsville business and I also guess this is what I get for not going local, since I live in Corpus Christi. I wrote him a neg review on Thimbtack where he responded with lies... Before the time came for him to take lights down sometime in mid Dec. of 2024, , I'd expressed an interest in quotes for other jobs. I needed two new sets of gate latches for two gates installed, and he said he'd give quote... He came one day shortly thereafter to install, and this was purely my fault, but he is a smooth operator and earned my trust after installing the lights. I liked him, and I thought he was honest. I let him install the gate latches, first, and then remembered I hadn't asked him for the quote first... he gives me his price/ invoice for $750. and I paid and thought well I never will be using him again... the bill was my own fault... I just didn't get quote first, because he earned my trust on hanging the lights... well my learning experience was to the tune of $750. Just to install 2 gate latches kits ... Also after that he went and sat in his truck for a long time scribbling up a quote. ... comes back with it after the fact, very poorly written only using my first name as client. ... so I accept the blame for trusting him after the light hanging job... totally stupid on my part! But he talks a good game to earn your trust, something I fell for... but never again! He had in the meantime, while installing the gate latches started saying he wished he had a mower because he could add mowing to his services too. He said he had to turn down several people for mowing. In his answer to my thumbtack review he said, I'm a landscaper and we don't do mowing. Then said the mower was nice be he didn't need it... quite a difference in that answer and the way he acted when I gave it to him, thanking me in his thumbtack response, and how it would help him. I had an old mower and it was in good working condition, but old and I had 2 other newer mowers, so I gave him the old one to help him get started that way. I mean, why else would I have gone and purposely gotten a lawnmower to give to him if he had not expressed an interest . So I set myself up by falling for his honest persona that he showed me initially... oh and before he did the gate latches he did come give me a quote for another big job of straightening up a wood fence in my back yard... I wanted to use most of the pickets as they were still good and all he would have needed were about 10 4x4's some cement and of course his labor, but that quote was way out of this world... It was close to $4k. I decided then that I would not be hiring him for that... got several more reasonable quotes. I figured on the gate latches that I should just let him do it, since I said he had that job.. it was a small job and I figured how much could a job cost for 2 gate latch installations. Well he clearly took advantage, and all that probably because I'm a single lady. So I let him take advantage on the gate job by forgetting to get the quote before he started the job and my opinion of his being a good worker and seemingly honest nature.. so again, totally my fault on that one... I could see by the quote on the fence that his price was outrageous, but still let him get to me for the latch job. Oh well if $750. Gate latch job and forgetting to get the quote on this job first, is all it took to get me not to be sold on first impressions,, and that I really needed to pay attention to the situation, then I guess I came out of it much better than I would've otherwise. Unfortunately , I have learned too, that you just can't be nice and show respect for people anymore. It is embarrassing for me to admit the mistake I made in this situation, but if it can possibly help other citizens out there to watch out about what they're doing in these business situations, and especially to stay clear of doing business with this co., then it is worth it to me to admit my mistake and prevent others from being taken in by this guy. Don't fall for the honest professional, nice guy persona, and make sure you get your quote first, no matter how wonderful you think the guy is... because he'll take you for a ride and you will be the one paying for it.
