Protection America patrols the Pearl apartments where I live, and I have to say that Mike, the night guard, is the best. He takes his job serious, always walks the complex at night to ensure all the tenants are safe, and goes above and beyond to assist the residents. Having a great person like Mike around makes me feel safe and secure. Protection America should find and keep more people like Mike because he is a one in a million type of guy. read more

UPDATE: Come to find out, the lady I spoke to yesterday morning at 7am, that lied and wouldn't send security, also gave Me a fake name; after I told her I was going to report this experience to management team at My apartment complex. They reached out and there is no Bridgette that works there. So this company also employs complete lazy liars. ------------------------------------------------ Worst security service ever. Why our apartment complex uses them is beyond Me. Just spoke to Bridgette this morning. Called due to constant harassment from upstairs neighbor intentionally slamming and banging on My ceiling. Our office tells us to call Protection America to handle these issues; which is paid for in our rent. Every other operator has sent security out to handle the neighbors above and to record the noise for the office. Bridgette instead, decide on her own, that no she won't send anyone out. Claims that they don't take care of that-- which they do; our office hired them for it. Out of My year and a half of living here, and our office using this service, she is the first and only person to say that and refuse to send security to help. Besides the fact that Bridgette just refused to do her job and made up her own rules that has never applied for over a year, most of the security guards are a joke, with the exception of the one guy they send on Saturday. The security guards can usually be found sleeping in their car, ignoring any reports, and one has literally been seen multiple times parking his car and then leaving the actual apartment complex. At night are constantly people breaking in, into the storage units, into our mailboxes, and people on drugs somehow walking around at night, but not handled in any way. This security company is not worth your money and is a complete joke. read more

Noho is seemingly getting more unsafe if feels and one security guard in we feel very when he was on duty is Jay Reyes. Have called on multiple occasions for Radius Koreatown to be told that I will get a call back from security. I have NEVER received a call back, not even the next day. Not sure if security is just lazy or if it is fraud and they do not actually have any security agents in the first place. read more

My 90 year old aunt has fallen and literally could not get up! She crawled to the telephone to call her family and we, in turn, called APT to check on her and call 911. The field agent, Mario Bolanos, responded immediately and contacted 911 for us, and escorted the paramedics onto the secured building. My aunt was taken to the closest Emergency department. Mario's quick response and timely followup on her progress all the way into the ambulance was amazing. In addition, my brother noticed on the remote app that the door to my aunt's apartment was open. I again contacted Mario who physically checked my aunt's apartment and verified the door was open. After asking for permission to enter the apartment, Mario verified the apartment was empty and appeared undisturbed. He closed the door and I notified my brother to lock my aunt's door remotely. Mario then sent me a short video verifying my aunt's door was locked. Mario is extremely responsive and thorough. I have peace of mind knowing my aunt has a great resource in Protection America, Inc! read more

Protection America is exactly what their name says, protection. Having used them for a private event, they accommodated to both what the event needed and protocols set by the city with Covid-19. Each security professional ensured me and staff that everything will be ran smoothly and that our safety is top priority. On top of this, Protection America was extremely reliable as they were present from before the start of the event until the very end and was very attentive with any question and request that was asked of them throughout. The event also required guests to walk late at night, without question, Protection America had its security escort guests to their car. We had a total of 3 security guards and each was exceptional at their job and what we wanted them to do. I would recommend PA to anyone needing security service. read more

As a resident at a community they patrol, I am very disappointed. I called for an issue during patrol hours (4:30am). The number is an answering service. Yes, you do speak with a live person, but they have no information to help you. I called two additional times with an hour and half hour in between, respectively. No one EVER came. I didn't receive a phone call back either, even though the answering service took down all of my info, EVERY time I called. Nothing. If anything, their service is just for show. After four and a half hours (?!?), I finally had to just wait for my leasing office to open to get my issue resolved. Do NOT recommend! Stay away! UPDATE- So six minutes after I posted this, the business owner used my information from last night to CALL ME! Not only to call me, but SCREAM at me that how was his company supposed to answer a call outside of patrol hours that conveniently end after 4am!?! Um, you claim to be a 24/7 service. So how is anyone to know when your service ends??!?! So good to know that between 4 and 9am you're pretty much screwed. I had to hang up on him because he was being so aggressive. I never hang up on anyone, so that's pretty awful. My favorite is how PC his Yelp message was. "...Sorry you had an unpleasant experience. We pride ourselves on great customer service and quick response time...." blah, blah, blah. Great customer service means to yell at your customers. GOOD JOB (sarcasm)!! I had to leave a review for this company who I contracted for a residential development project. I needed over night security services to protect valuable construction tools. The guards were always awake and attentive. The account manager was always responsive and always accommodated my changes. Highly recommend Protection America for security services! read more

Wow! Where do I begin. So we own a chain of dealerships that since the pandemic began we have been constantly getting broken into. I never wanted to entertain the thought of hiring a private security company to surveillance in monitor activities at our dealerships. But I will never regret making that call to Ed Clay. As a community manager I have used Protection America at two of my communities and couldn't be more happy with the level of service that we are provided. The guards are prompt and don't require much direction. They are skilled and professional and really take pride in providing the best service for the management and for the residents. If there is ever a concern that requires the owner the response time is just minutes no matter the time of day or night. i don't know where to begin.... because when you have a 22 year old male guard who calls the tenants lowlife's, flashes his gun to feel like a grown man is extremely scary and i've seen him do it more than a few times. and a lot of our tenants have trauma. because we're supposed to be in a safe place as this is a motel that they turned into transitional housing. the guard we have during the day, 5 days a week lies for his boss which is the property manager. it's a joke and a bad one. because property manager has about as much compassion as a rock. she's cruel, she gaslights residents and laughs about it when they're having a meltdown. therefore he's her little puppet. i'm 60 years old and i have a 22 year old punk that picks and chooses who he likes. then flashing a concealed weapon when he wants to feel like a grown man when he's a child. we've called the owner of the security company and he's done nothing. what really gets me is him harassing older residents who haven't done anything wrong. that's when aps, ( adult protective service's) need to be contacted and the residents from now on, are going to do so. the owner of the security company said he was going to have someone here to observe him and lied about that. the guard's we have at night time are older and actually have social skills and are very respectful and kind and know how to defuse a argument. this kid just flashes his gun and provokes the residents even more. what do you expect when you have a 22 year old punk. it's apparent this is not the right kind of job for him. like i mentioned his social skills are nye. i know i've had my own business with 150 employees and treated them like i would like to be treated. wtf...however this kid they have here full time during the week is horrible, disrespectful, doesn't go around the property and take pictures and that's part of his job. he'd rather be inside on his phone playing games and is so lazy. and all the residents know he's the property manager's little puppet and shes conforming him to be like her. which is extremely mean and if she does a drug bust on anyone read more

This company is def the co you would want watching out for your tenants or anything or one that you need protected. They are the co that patrols the complex I live at in Valencia which had a huge problem with homeless ppl living nearby In the wash.. There is still a huge problem but only on the days these 3 guards are not working here which is totally out of their control (management issue) but these guys go beyond they patrol on foot as to have the advantage rather than sit in comfy car they keep a good eye on who belongs here and who doesn't they watch out for you even when your not aware you need it...
