Took us about 20min from being behind a customer, to placing our order to receiving our order. So a little longer than a regular drive thru but the food is good! Pro Tip: the habanero sauce is fire! I mean it will literally taste like fire when you use it, so be careful! Her other sauce is so delicious! Perfect spice and flavor! The habanero is for when you really like a kick to your tastebuds! Get it! Asada was more tender and almost shredded compared to a lot of the other places I go to. I didn't mind it! Burrito was a win and would come back for another. The Esquite was good! It definitely tasted more like melted Mayo with corn sitting in it but it wasn't a bad thing. The hibiscus was fantastic! Taste was one of the better drinks I've had from any Mexican restaurant. Pro Tip: be ready for them not to have certain things. Being a mom and pop shop, the day we went they didn't have horchata or tamales. Give this place a go if you're ever done getting your car washed, or happen to be coming or going down this area. Make sure not to pass it, it's right next to Gozen.

Not because of…read moreanything negative--it just hasn't been one of the places that comes to mind when we're deciding where to eat. Well, after tonight, that's going to change. We started by sharing the wedge salad. I am a blue cheese girl, and this blue cheese was BLUE CHEESE. Rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I could have happily made a meal out of that alone. We also ordered the calamari, which came with two dipping sauces. One was a sweet and sour-style nuoc cham sauce that was incredible. The other was a fresh, flavorful tartar sauce. The calamari itself was prepared perfectly--light, crispy, not oily at all, and cooked just right. For dinner, I had the pistachio-crusted salmon over vegetable quinoa. The salmon was excellent. The quinoa was good, but probably just not my personal style. My husband ordered the pork chop with polenta, and wow--both were fantastic. That polenta was especially memorable. We sat at a table in the bar area (that's our vibe), and we had the pleasure of being served by Orlando, a newer bartender. He was outstanding. From the moment we sat down, we felt welcomed and genuinely taken care of. He introduced us to a mezcal that complemented our meals perfectly and was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Top-notch customer service. This isn't an inexpensive everyday dinner spot, but the quality of the food, drinks, and service made it absolutely worth it. We had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back. If you haven't been to Braised lately, go check it out--and if you're lucky enough to have Orlando take care of you, you're in for a great evening.

A+++++ So delicious!! Ok hear me out!…read moreI am from Tulare and when Braised first opened my husband and I went a few times and I we didn't love it! Food and service just didn't quite meet our expectations for a date night. HOWEVER.... We've gone twice recently after a very long hiatus and had a completely different experience.. it was so much better! The food is so unique and delicious...service great, and the drinks were superb as well! I travel a lot, always look on Yelp for the best restaurants and am definitely a picky foodie! Braised is up there with the best food I've eaten in Vegas, LA, SF etc!! YUM. Anyway- I just want to say if you've tried it before and didn't love it...go back and try again! Great vibe, attentive service and yummmmmmy food.

Other caterers couldn't be bothered to respond to messages or send menus. Rosalinda responded promptly to messages and provided the kind of individualized attention that one wants when planning a special event like a wedding reception. I felt very good about supporting this small family business. I was amazed at how many different types of cuisine Melrose International offers. We ended up having Mexican and Filipino food with gluten-free and vegetarian options. Rosalinda was even willing to make a garlic-free meal for one guest who can't eat garlic! The enchiladas and Mexican rice were my favorite dishes. Rosalinda and her employees worked very hard, including cooking on a grill outside in the hot sun at our reception venue. Her staff was efficient in serving food and even put the leftovers in containers we provided. One bit of advice: make sure to read over the detailed order list Rosalinda provides. I didn't read it closely enough, and there were some differences between what we had discussed and what was listed. I take responsibility for not paying closer attention. There were just too many things to do at the same time. Rosalinda offered to cut our wedding cake (made by someone else) for no additional charge, something no other caterer in the area seems to offer. (They often charge $2/slice!) I would definitely recommend Melrose International Catering and Bakery.

On the day of our event, it was absolutely pouring rain, but their team did everything in their power to make it work. Their staff was outside helping dry the cement as much as possible, moving tables and chairs, and adjusting layouts on the fly. They were proactive, supportive, and never once made it feel like our event was a burden. When we ultimately decided to move the party into the warehouse, they immediately sent over their entire team and generously allowed us to use their tables, chairs, banquet tables, heaters, and even a cleaning crew. This event simply would not have been possible without their help. As soon as we arrived at the warehouse, they jumped in to assist with setup while my team and I were decorating. They even offered to let us keep the tables and chairs after hours. What truly stood out was their commitment they stayed for the entire event, helped with cleanup, and made sure everything was put away. Our employees had nothing but great things to say about the experience and how much fun they had. Evergreen Island Venue is not just a beautiful space it's a team of people who genuinely care about making your event successful, no matter the circumstances. It was pouring rain, and instead of making a reasonable decision to move the event, the owners stubbornly insisted on keeping it at their venue, even though it was completely obvious it wouldn't work. At the very last minute, everything had to be moved to our warehouse just so the event could even happen. The amount of disorganization was unbelievable. When we got there, it somehow got worse. Only two people were trying to set up the entire event by themselves. Two. The owner was nowhere in sight, and it was painfully clear that nothing had been planned out. We even had to find our own bartender the same day because Evergreen didn't bother to provide one. Throughout the night, those two workers were doing everything, setting up, running around, keeping things together, and honestly, they deserved far more support than they got. If Evergreen had actually provided staffing, preparation, or leadership, the whole event wouldn't have been such a disaster. I can say without hesitation that I would not recommend booking any events here EVER AGAIN. The whole experience screamed understaffing, zero accountability, and complete lack of professionalism. As an attendee, it was frustrating, chaotic, and absolutely unacceptable. This venue is not reliable, not prepared, and not worth anyone's trust.

I was assisted by Angelo and Kirsten who went above and beyond to prepare my order and deliver excellent customer service, despite the situation. I won a free board as a giveaway and placed the order weeks in advance for Nov 22 as soon as they opened. I live an hour away and showed up when they opened to pick up my board, but there was no record of it being ordered. Angelo apologized profusely and said I would have to wait 45mins to an hour for it to be ready. I said that's fine (after all, the board is free) and I went to do some work at the Starbucks across the street. An hour goes by and I have not received a call so I walk in to check on my board and I'm told that they are still working on it but have other orders that they're working on too. He says they'll be done shortly. Another 30 minutes goes by and I walk in to check on their progress again and I'm told it's not ready yet and Angelo has to deliver some other orders, and that he could deliver mine when it was ready. I told him that wasn't possible since I live too far away. He was so apologetic and visibly stressed! These two kids had way more work than they should be expected to handle. While they were making my order, they were also swamped with to-go orders coming in. He felt awful and said he was going as fast as he could, but at this point I had been waiting for almost 2 hours and needed to get home because I had family coming in to town. I told them to just throw the ingredients on the board and I'd assemble it myself when I got home. Kirsten still placed the items on there as quickly and neatly as she could which I appreciated. I was given a gift card to compensate for my experience, but 2 hours is a bit excessive. The board was good, and made with good quality ingredients. All of my guests seemed to enjoy it. I would leave a 1 star review but the excellent customer service from Kirsten and Angelo (despite being super busy and overwhelmed) and the quality of the ingredients of the board earned the extra two stars.
