Dr. Wilson is truly the best!!! I started seeing her when I learned I was pregnant and she gave me the best care. She never made me feel rushed, never made me feel like I had a dumb question and answered any questions I could have possibly had at every appointment. This was so assuring as a first time mom. I would recommend her to anyone and will absolutely go back and see her for my next pregnancy and also GYN needs. The nurses and ultra sound techs were also super nice!!! They have a large waiting room and only once during my pregnancy did I have to wait longer than 10-20 minutes to be called back. They do have a strict late policy and the one time I was late, the receptionist was a bit sassy, so make sure you are on time! A couple times she wasn't in the office so I had to see other providers. The mid wives I saw were all fabulous! I also saw Dr. Dehoff who I did not care for. It seemed like he was 'mansplaining' and I felt extremely rushed and like my questions weren't welcome. He said "do you have any questions as he opened the door to leave". I would not see him again but everyone else was amazing and I received the best care!!! When in the hospital delivering my daughter, the Dr's and mid wives from this practice were all really nice and listened to me/my concerns. Dr. Hyatt (only delivers babies, doesn't see office patients) was also very kind and great at his job. We love Dr. Wilson and Providence OBGYN! read more

I have debated posting this because I fear harassment from the general public and retaliation from Novant, Providence OBGYN and Phillip DeHoff, who have already hurt me and my family so much. However, because medical board complaints are not public, and because it is rare for doctors to face tangible consequences from such complaints, I view it as my duty to share this and inform Charlotte area women. My silence may protect me from harassment and retaliation, but it also protects doctors who are already protected by the institutions they work for. This only results in more women being hurt. So I am sharing this despite very being so frightened of what may come of it. On November 29, 2023, while sitting on my couch at home I started hemorrhaging bleeding through my pants on to my couch, scaring myself, my husband, and my boys. I was bleeding so much, I wouldn't have been allowed on a plane. I went to the Novant ER thinking I'd be treated promptly. I had an IUD and learned that I was pregnant with a blighted ovum (no fetal heartbeat, no baby, just an empty gestational sac). The on-call OBGYN was DeHoff. The next 15 hours were the worst of my life. It's hard for me to recount the events because one of the symptoms of the PTSD caused by those events is to feel like you're reliving them, so I am enclosing pictures of the complaint I filed against DeHoff with the NC Medical Board. You can see them in the practice pictures. Since I've started sharing this story, I've learned that a woman who I know from my sons' former preschool also filed a complaint against DeHoff with Novant and Providence OBGYN in September 2023, two months before I encountered him. This woman also informed her OBGYN Dr. Nora Arronte of her concerns regarding DeHoff and subsequently filed a complaint against DeHoff with the NC Medical Board, which is currently pending (like my complaint). Thus, Novant and Providence OBGYN (and at least one of Providence OBGYN's other physicians, Dr. Arronte) appear to have prior knowledge of this doctor's track record of harming women. My understanding is that since I submitted my complaint, De Hoff is no longer doing OB work, and is only doing GYN work. I do not know if this is as a result of the complaint, whether De Hoff has lost his hospital admission privileges or if this is the natural career progression of an aging doctor with multiple malpractice complaints pending before his licensing board. I am frightened to share this but view it as my civic duty to inform this community of someone I consider a public danger to women who remains employed by a "reputable" practice despite their apparent knowledge of his actions. read more

Ms. Lisa Wilson dismisses patients symptoms and concerns especially when I was having severe intolerance to HRT since she doubled my dose in a short time and didn't want to even entertain the idea that maybe just maybe HRT may need adjustment or change altogether. Not only that but she gave me a scare with the word " Cancer" before performing a procedure or getting results back. She's dismisses patients and to me that makes her a dangerous provider. read more

Disclaimer: I cannot speak to the care or service of the doctors. I've heard positive things and many reviews indicating the actual care of the doctor's is great. I'm giving a -10 stars for their ability to staff appropriately and being an organized facility in the first place. It's a shame because I don't believe that the disorganization of the office reflects the actual care provided by the doctors. I tried four total times to schedule my first obgyn and ultrasound appointment after years being with Novant Health. All 3/4 times led to them canceling and rescheduling due to an "ultra sound tech" issue. One minute they left, another minute someone was on maternity. The day of my appointment on my way to it -- excited and ready to hear the heartbeat, I get a call and they cancel with yet again another ultra sound tech issue. While I certainly would have been mad, it went south when the office person working indicated I "lied" when I said they never called on Friday (week previous). When I countered with the dates and times of who called and that these calls are all recorded, let's listen to them or better yet, one minute you're telling me the tech is out sick the next you're saying they tried calling Friday (3 days before the person was sick?) Carmen said the supervisor would call me back -- nothing. Not even an attempt to try to make it work. It's sad and unfortunate that a multi-mil hospital apparently only has one ultra sound tech who is always sick, on maternity leave, or all of a sudden out of office? Who knows but how their staff treats patients over weeks of time is disappointing. And it certainly leaves a bad reflection of the care offered. read more

Dr. Jones is absolutely amazing. She makes you feel as if you have known each other for years. She takes the time to listen to you and get to know you. Each appointment is something worth looking forward to. The midwives at this practice are also great to work and they provide a lot of education and are always willing and able to answer any questions you have. It would take an act of God for me to leave this practice. read more

The worst company ever!! I scheduled my appointment a month ago at a location 2 minutes from my house. A couple a days ago I confirmed my appointment, and as I'm getting ready day of I happen to notice they scheduled me at a location an hour away from my house. The lady who scheduled me told me it was the location near my house. I call them to see if they can accommodate me since it's their fault in the first place. They can't, then I reschedule for 9 and I get in at 9:11 and they say they can't see me due to it being after the appointment 10 minute grace period. I wouldn't have been late if they didn't put me at a location without my permission!!!!!!! Once I get my appointment I'm transferring to a more competent company because this is ridiculous!!! read more

I have heard amazing things about this office and I was very excited to switch from Atrium Health to Novant Health for my second baby. However, the lack of ultrasound techs completely amazes me. You will not see the OBGYN until you get your confirmation of pregnancy with the Ultrasound Techs but you can't get into get an ultrasound because apparently when they call out sick the office will just move your appointment. I am going on 11 weeks with no confirmation of pregnancy and my appointment has been moved twice. I will be 12 weeks by the time they see me. When I asked the receptionist where is the care of the mother and the baby so that they can be seen, she didn't even try to help me or get this escalated. I asked to speak to a manager today and there was no call back today. I am very disappointed and I would never let them deliver my baby at this point. The doctors might be great but if your staff doesn't align with the quality of the doctor, what is the use? Why don't get they get ultrasound techs on call if this is something that happens? Poor service and I do not recommend. read more

I use Dr. Britt and I requested a genetic screening and an NT scan of the baby, which is to be done between weeks 10-13. Dr. Britt never put in my orders so I did not receive the ultrasound I needed. I am EXTREMELY upset about this and it has caused me to lose tons of sleep. I requested this scan because my fiancé has a child that was born with cleft palates, and my dad is adopted so there are lots of unknowns I wanted answered and Dr. Britt dropped the ball and now I don't know the answers. If you take your prenatal care seriously, please go somewhere else because thIs place broke my heart and doesn't take pregnant women seriously. read more

This was once again a total nightmare o an experience. There is Zero communication or compassion for patients. Last visit a few years ago I was made to wait over an hour for doctor Arronte who wasn't even in the office becof some patient situation at the hospital. Do you think that they tried to communicate that to me and ask if I wanted to see another doctor or reschedule?!? No!! So, I waited and finally was told that another doctor could see me that I had never met in my life. Again, No, I was there for her to see me so I waited a total of 2 hours before she finally saw me. Mind you this is a basic annual exam with pelvic an pap. She apologized and I was very understanding given how long this whole process of an appointment unfolded for me. Fast-forward to today when I had wait months for my appointment. Traffic was a problem and my GPS rerouted me completely. By the time I parked in the parking garage and cicled around to make it to the 9th floor, I was 12 minutes late. My greeting was that they had implemented a strict 10 minutes maximum past appointment time and now I had already been sent a reschedule notice! What?!??! Clearly, I explained what had transpired and pleaded for an appointment even if I had to wait. No, sorry... reschedule only!!!! Well, frankly I'm disgusted and even after talking to the office manager, nothwas changing except to leave and come back in 4 more weeks! No, No and No! After what I have experienced as a good paying patient with almost no real liability and nothing but profit for them, I vote to NEVER GO BACK UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! PERIOD. They don't deserve to receive my money when they have such poor communication and Zero empathy o connection to their patients. Welcome to we don't care and we only want your money practice! Dr. Arronte is quite honestly the best doctor I have ever had. I have traveled and more around a bit and actually had a horror story doctor visit. I made an appointment with Dr. Arronte at Providence OB/GYN and after 3 years, she still remembered me. She asked how I was doing, what things I wanted to talk about, and how I was feeling. She is always there to comfort me and help me, give me advice and suggestions. She constantly reminds me that she is available, reach out to her on Novant Health if I have any questions or concerns. She referred me to a specialist for my issues and always seems to want the best for me. She never pressures me and is always open. I don't mind waiting for an appointment because she is the most amazing doctor I have ever seen. Providence - you are lucky to have her. Well I wouldn't know if they are good or not, because they canceled my appointment without telling me. The most unprofessional and incompetent staff. Because apparently that haven't figured out that it's 2017 and e-mail exists, they said they would "mail" me directions to their practice, but I never received them. Then they called me to tell me my appointment had to be rescheduled to the next day. Called several times to tell them that was OK but got no response. Showed up to the appointment and was told it was canceled. I need a prescription refill so this was a time sensitive appointment and I told them that. Didn't even bother apologizing. I will never be going here again. Don't waste your time!!! read more
