One concern I do want to notice is that there seems to be a glitch in their medication ordering system, which did not permit the nurse to get the medication needed within a timely manner. Apparently, this has been going on for days and the health staff have brought this forward for internal review multiple times. I hope this gets fixed as it does. Sit back there a patient's healing process when medical providers have to wait for medication.

My aunt was a pack rat and didn't value a clean home (to put it mildly), so I was feeling extremely overwhelmed by what was facing me in her apartment. Fine Associates worked with me and offered a solution that was way more fair to me/our family than it was to them. Their kindness and compassion is uncommon in today's world, especially when it comes to businesses - but we sure appreciate it. I can't say enough good things about how they handled a truly awful situation.

The staff seems to try their best... my mom can be difficult but the staff handle her with grace. The building itself is beautiful and well maintained. The food is pretty decent, I join my mom for meals sometimes and the dining room is always nice and social. What's especially great about Yorkshire is the location. Other buildings we toured were located on a highway or in an industrial area but this building is in the heart of Edina with lots of amenities nearby. My mom uses a walker but she is still able to get to the library, the coffee shop, and the Target nearby. I think overall management is pretty good considering the high turnover that is rampant in the senior care industry. Personally I think it's stupid for people to complain that low paid caregivers are not some amazing high end professionals. It is what it is, if you don't like it, hire a top of the line nurse for $75-$100/hour! My mom's meds have never been screwed up, she is medication averse but the staff make sure she takes all her pills, her apartment is always clean, her laundry is done regularly, and they try to engage her in social activities.

They determined she should be on the memory ward in order to receive the best possible treatment. It that was their best, everyone there is in trouble. A brief summary: From 8/1 - 8/8 she had no way to summon help. On 8/1 or 8/2 she had an accident overnight. The two aides the next morning yelled at her for not using the toilet... Note: She was there recovering from surgery for a broken pelvis and hip replacement. Rarely was given a hot meal. Some meals were never brought. We special ordered meals they offer, and she rarely got them. Sign on door said room was to be kept locked (so other patients would not wander into her room). I never found it locked when visiting. On more than one occasion, aides endangered her by how the transferred her from wheelchair to bed. Or, in leaving her sitting alone on side of bed. They were short-handed, but did not cut down on the number of patients. Patients were left on their own in the hallway. One spent most of time crawling on all fours. Poor lady. I could go on, but hopefully, you get the very dark and scary picture. Urge you to not send a loved one to this modern day Bedlam.

I'll never forget the excellent care for my very bad migraine. The nurse checked my records and sized this mess up quickly. I had a migraine infusion just 6 days prior that was not effective. With a change of one of the meds in this cocktail I did get relief and was able to go home and sleep. I can't say enough able the nurse and the ER doctor who took such good care of me. The rheumatologist was very smart and took an excellent history. She had my labs done a week in advance. This made it possible for her to be definitive in this visit. She pick up on clicking in my right knee, that does hurt often. Allina has their act together. Allina Health Plymouth has become my preferred place for health services.

I watch the commericals and hope other people don't get their hopes up. That was not my experience at all. Most sat in a chair and watched TV. None offered to cook a meal or pick up the house. Communicating with them was very hard for both my mom and grandmother. I had a hard time understanding a few of them.
