I feel that a boudoir shoot is a fast track to loving your body, seeing the beauty in yourself, feeling confident and embracing your sensuality. (Not that this post is about your significant other but DAMN, what if you showed up to your relationship with all that self-worth and confidence? Whew, talk about being attractive to your partner!) I guess you could call me experienced, seasoned, even a veteran with 8 years of boudoir modeling experience. My photo shoot with Trevor is my 10th shoot! From a wedding gift to my husband in 2010 to a sizzling couple's shoot to several photographers' boudoir portfolio building sessions to gifts to myself...these photo shoots were all meaningful & empowering. It's kind of an addiction but a healthy obsession! Trevor is your happy pill, sedative and pheromone-booster all-in-one with his explicit directions on how to pose (ladies, he practices what he preaches! Which means he demonstrates by literally getting on his hands & knees & elbows, you name it!) When assistance is appreciated he's also a master at fastening garters and straightening stockings. I really valued how Trevor, in his efforts to create authentic emotion, thoroughly explained the different facial expressions of seduction, desire, flirtation and dominance as well as body language in order to cultivate sensuality and sex appeal. I loved how Trevor would stop every so often to show me a raw image he had just captured on his camera so I could see for myself how great I looked. Encouragement and positive feedback/reinforcement is Trevor's guiding style throughout the shoot. I would be remiss if I didn't mention what an incredible job Trevor's HMUA, Jen, did in creating a stunning look. Her skills, professionalism, style, creativity and personality are all exceptional. From her warm welcome to finishing with the setting spray she was amazing. Jen was also a fun, confident and supportive collaboration with Trevor in aligning their vision together regarding colour and mood. Simply put, she enhanced my natural beauty into a polished femme fatale look perfect for the boudoir and a night out on the town post shoot. The same day "reveal" viewing of my images was the most challenging aspect to my afternoon. I had a difficult time selecting my final twenty. I appreciated Trevor's input as we compared and contrasted similar images. It was a chance to sit in the relaxed ambience of the studio and bask in my glory of a rock star session. Honestly, there wasn't a single image that didn't belong in my faves folder or my likes file. And, they weren't even artistically edited yet! Do I need to say anything more? Throw all your excuses out the window and get your "boudie" on! There isn't any reason why you shouldn't enjoy this once in a lifetime experience. If you are considering a boudoir photoshoot (I think you should) Provocateur Images should be your choice. Forget feeling awkward and not knowing how to pose, The photographer Trevor is great and he will show you examples and he has a fun sense of humour and the experience will be a good one. Do not worry about any faults that you may have with your body. With certain poses and light editing (he will not make you a size zero lol) the end product will be flawless. My 1st photoshoot came out so well that I went back for another and loved my second set of photos even more. What I like the most about Provocateur images is the diversity of client photos on their website and Instagram pages. It's refreshing to see women of all sizes and colours represented. I'm not going to lie, when I first contacted Trevor, I inquired if his makeup artists knew how to work with dark skin and without hesitation he said yes. My wife had Provocateur Images do pictures for me as a Christmas present, what an amazing gift!! The pictures are beautiful and tasteful and from what she told me of the experience she was pampered with make-up and hair and Trevor(photographer) was amazing in every way and made her feel very comfortable. When she asked me to do a couples session my reaction was nope! But as most relationships go she got her way and off we went. I thought it was going to be uncomfortable and not something I would enjoy but to my surprise again Trevor made it very easy and extremely comfortable and my wife and I had a great time shooting! I'm still on a high from doing my very first boudoir shoot with Trevor this past Sunday. He was the most welcoming, warm, professional I've ever met. From start to finish he directed and made me feel proud and confident about my body. Carmina & Val were very nice & calmed my nerves as i sat and had my hair & makeup done. My makeup was outstanding and my hair had never looked better. Honestly i didn't think i would brave enough to do anything like this but 5 minutes in, i was feeling myself. I could not possibly put into words how incredible it was having a boudoir session with Trevor. 2018 has been my year to push myself out of my comfort zone and do things that make me nervous. I hate having my picture taken at the best of times, and like so many others, I've always been very critical of my body. So, a boudoir session was the full leap outside my comfort zone. Trevor put me at ease easily, and the two hours blew by so quickly. I wish he had a 3 hour option! I highly recommend this experience and upgrading to a 2 hour session.
