We [ Nancy and I] happen to be in Devils Lake today and went to Prozs for dinner. You can eat out doors or in over looking to lake. A very nice place quaint but not to small. Atmosphere was building as we finished, but lot of fun. We both had the Walleye sandwich with kettle chips. A good piece of fish on a bun vary tasty. Service was good, and friendly also. While traveling in North Dakota we stayed in Devils Lake. We found this restaurant that is right on the lake. It is a pretty place area seems newer. We ordered the walleye sandwich with kettle chips. I also got a side salad and my husband got his old Fashion drink. Everything was good. We had a nice time. Would recommend. They do have seating out side on patio. We chose to eat inside. read more

First time here. Great venue as you can see from the picture taken from the table. We both had the Walleye tacos. Two nice blackened filets on a bed of slaw. Very tasty! Beer and wine prices are decent. Fries were skin on and fresh. Service was excellent. read more

Vibe: Beautiful lakeside location! Very family friendly, lively spot! Eating outside was unpleasant due to the large amount of flies and misquotes; there were bugs flying into our drinks and food. Multiple people in our group had to go back to the car to change clothes to avoid the swarms of mosquitos. Highly recommend eating indoors for this reason. Food: disappointing, not going to lie; it is standard to pay extra here for a side of fries (as opposed than chips) and the fish taco dish only includes 2 tacos. None of us were blown away by the food, the flavor profiles left much to be desired. Service: staff was kind but seemed overwhelmed, our drinks did not get refilled / had to ask for ketchup multiple times, etc. Overall: decent spot, fun location. Go here for the *experience* (not the food). Urban foodies such as myself will likely be disappointed. Eat indoors! read more

In Devils Lake to enjoy a nice view of the lake, drinks and dinner, this is it. It is next to woodlands resort and overlooks the lake. It's part of a camping/fishing resort so no dress code is required. Do try the fresh fish as it's outstanding. Of course in the Midwest you have to try the Mexican pizza (it's a thing) which although may sound iffy, is really very good! Their main chef is a trained Cordon Bleu graduate, so you might find some things on the menu, not found elsewhere. Sometimes during peak times, it can get busy. I think it's a great value (Go to Washington DC if you want sticker shock on prices) for the quality. read more

This is the second time my wife and I have been here and compared to the first time there have been some improvements. This time we were one of only three tables in the place which definitely helped in terms of getting food out in a timely manner. We ordered the boneless wings as an appetizer and thought it had to be pretty decent sized for $9.50. Well, the picture say it all. 9 or 10 little balls of chicken wasn't worth that price. For the main meal my wife ordered a burger which was pretty good and I got the Italian wrap. The wrap was pretty good but they put so much Italian dressing in it that by the time I got to the second half of the wrap it was totally owed through on the bottom and was a greasy mess. This place isn't terrible by any means but at the same time prices don't match the portions or the quality. Service was better as I said but we didn't get asked if we wanted refills one and the waitress made herself somewhat scarce most of the time. Might be a while before we return. read more

The location of this restaurant is awesome, the atmosphere is good, their food could be better. But there is a lot of variety.

We did not have a good experience at proz lakeside, we arrived at 7:20 and it took 10 minutes before anyone would even ask if we have been seated yet then when we got to are table and ordered drinks we didn't get them till about 7:45, then they finally took are order,by 8:25 we still had not received are salad that came with the meal, we had to ask for them,we had finally got are food at 9pm it does not take an hour and a half to cook a steak and make a salad, this is not the first time this has happened to us here either, I suggest if you don't have a few hours to kill don't bother eating here read more

Fantastic food and wonderful service! My grandfather, brother, and I stopped in to eat after a long day of fishing and it was incredible. Between the three of us we tried the philly sandwich, rib sandwich, bison burger, both soups, and the calamari. Though the rib sandwich left a bit more gristle on than I would personally prefer, the flavor was definitely there. As for the service, they immediately started winning us over from the time we walked in. My grandfather is almost completely deaf. When we walked in, one of the servers realized the difficulty hearing and immediately offered to close off the doors to the bar so my grandfather wasn't struggling to hear. We really appreciated their service and how polite they were about needing to repeat themselves so much for him. Wonderful food and wonderful service! read more

This place knows how to do apps and boy are they super speedy with those apps. However that's where we struggle. First, I don't blame the wait staff or the kitchen because leadership is totally in the wrong. There were 2 large parties with close to 20 people or more in each group that were seated and served. This caused the hostess stand to be understaffed and the kitchen to get swamped. Management should have said no. From the time we ordered apps and drinks to the time our entrees came out was more than an hour. Drinks and apps @640pm. Entrees @810pm. No refills. And the quality of the entrees is below subpar. If you want a quick cold beer and any app go it's great. If you're looking for overcooked food that takes an eon to arrive take your chances. Good luck. read more

Food was delicious. We ordered a patty melt and the peanut butter burger. Both were DELICIOUS! The sweet potato fries were some of the best we've eaten. Food came out quickly. Service was ok. Waiter didn't seem all that interested... not horrible, but with only one other table of 5, it could have been a little better. We will definitely return. read more

My daughter and her husband are moving to a house right down the road from Proz Lakeside so we decided to try it. You went in and seated yourself, so we chose the patio, would like to say it was a nice view only on the left side of us it was a view of the swimming area and the rest was this huge parking lot for cars and boat trailers, so I guess when that is packed that is going to be your view. Nice seating with fire pits off the dining deck also for those great veiws of the parking lot. We seated ourselves and sat there for about 15 minutes before our waiter showed up and took our drink order I ordered the strawberry colada and got a daiquiri which was ok.. I kept it... our mistake we did not have our food order ready when we ordered our drinks, next time we will order drinks and meal at the same time. After we got our drinks it was like almost 40 minutes before he came back for our order. I quickly ordered another drink. We ordered the Beer drinkers pizza, (meat lovers with spicy sausage) Sad the service was so bad the pizza was great. really, really good. We will go back but different tactics on ordering, check the online menu and be ready, and don't be in a hurry to be anywhere because you won't make it. The four stars is for the pizza.. read more

Beautiful spot on the lake! We sat at the spacious bar and had excellent service! The beer was cold and the food was awesome. As an app we had fried pickles and an order of steak tips. Both were done to perfection. I then had a made to order pizza that had the most incredible crust. Unfortunately I couldn't eat it all, I was stuffed. My wife had the prime rib sandwich. A real slice of hot prime rib!! She loved it. I would definitely recommend this lake side jem just out of town. read more

We had never eaten walleye so when we heard this place served it wild horses couldn't have kept us away. We both ordered the same thing the walleye fish sandwich with French fries. Turns out we like walleye! It was beautifully fried to perfection and not "fishy" at all. It was served on a hoagie bun that had been toasted and spread with tarter sauce. Our server Nikki F was super friendly and explained all about Devils Lake and how they have moved this restaurant two times because of rising lake levels. We would eat here again. read more

I'd rate it lower than a star if I could. Food is average at best. The prices are on par with the bar and grills in the Minneapolis area but the portions are a lot smaller. The mgr and staff need some serious training. They should get the bar rescue dude in here to help them out. The wait times for food is unacceptably long. Most tables waited an hour, seen one table wait over an hour and half once they ordered the food. Some people complained about wrong food orders but didn't want to wait another hour to get it corrected. The place was only half full, can't imagine what it's like when it's full!!! Luckily it's a resort so it will stay busy but for local repeat customers I don't see it happening. Good luck I'll eat a sack lunch instead of eating at your facility next time. read more

We stayed at Woodland Resort for a few nights last summer and really wanted to eat here more so out of convenience than anything else. We've eaten here in the past and the food was good but it seems to have taken a turn for the worse. The crowds were so bad and the lines were so long that we wound up driving to other places for dinner. We only ate one meal at Proz's this last time at Woodlands. The food was OK but we waited a long time for our order. Another couple said they waited over an hour for their meal. I hope they straighten things out as we plan to go back next year. read more
