Right at the front is the cashier which the gentleman working was a massive gem. The sweetest and friendliest. The layout of the place is an open storefront. Different vendors I believe that house their goods. Just walking through will take some time as there's literally something that will catch your eyes. Also located right at the front, a charcuterie mini truck. How cute to have something like that. Next to that is a specialty market which offers amazing wine options and cocktail mixes and liquor. Treats and more treats to accompany what you like to drink. A cute place with the vibe of a world market and specialty store. Walking through, there's so much to see. One of a kind art pieces to art deco, MCM, traditional and so much more. But if you're looking for clothes, it's heaven here. The options are endless. If you're a vintage lover, look no further. Racks and racks of amazing pieces. Just browsing the area took a while as something constantly was catching my eyes. I believe it's both local designer that have a storefront there as well. I could be wrong on that. It's a big open concept but I did notice some staff sitting at their areas so I assume it's their storefront. Anyways, it's amazing. Wither you're looking for something unique to vintage to up to date trends. You will find some amazing pieces here. Designer labels of all kinds are here. Shoes galore if your a shoe whore which I was salivating over...lol.... Just one thing after another. They do have fitting rooms scattered throughout for you. The employees was the sweetest. I'm not sure how many there are but the ones I've encountered were dolls. Imagine Fred Segal meets Dover Street with a mix of Paper Bag Princess. New meets old with a major twist. This place has it all. I'm very glad to have found this and will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone.

And then--cue the dramatic music--a 50-foot mannequin greeted me at the entrance like some fabulous fashion goddess welcoming me into another dimension. I was in a state of pure fashion bliss. And then I entered PSBS. And that, my friends, is where the novela began. I was browsing, looking at merchandise, minding my own business, when I approached the counter because I had a question. Suddenly, the cashier, "Chris," began shouting: "DON'T SOLICIT ME! DON'T SOLICIT ME!" Excuse me? I wasn't soliciting anyone. I was literally trying to ask a question. The entire interaction escalated so quickly that I found myself standing there thinking, What just happened? Did I accidentally walk into the season finale of a very dramatic telenovela? Chris became visibly red-faced and extremely agitated, and the intensity of the interaction was completely disproportionate to what was actually happening. I was simply a customer trying to ask a question, and suddenly I was on the receiving end of a level of anger I absolutely did not expect. At that point, the fashion fantasy was officially over. I did not feel comfortable or safe, so I left. And honestly? The 50-foot mannequin was the highlight of the entire experience. Market Market had me at Jeremy Scott and lost me somewhere around PSBS. If you're looking for liquor, I'd shop elsewhere and compare prices. But if you're looking for an unforgettable retail drama involving fashion, a giant mannequin, and an unexpected cashier confrontation... Well. Welcome to the novela.

It's medium in size, but packed (but not junky) with artwork, furniture, and decor. Prices were surprisingly affordable (yes, there are high cost items too). I got an original design art piece along with other artwork and a beautiful glass vase from Poland (thick glass) among other things. When I learned he ships anywhere, I was able to get a large square glass dining table that my daughter- in- love fell in love for them (house warming gift) -- it will be shipped up north. Austin has a wealth of design knowledge he willingly shares. He is personable and also helped us fit everything in our van creatively. We couldn't have done it without him! People who let their children run wild in a place that sells vintage (often times) restored to their original beauty, should not take offense to the store owner that takes pride in their business. Nor should you take offense if you THINK you might have something worth selling there, when it is clearly not appropriate. Consignors and people that want to sell their "parent's mid-century furniture" are often times not versed in the Mid-Century Design world. You cant fault the store owner for knowing what the right merchandise is for their store... MOVE ON. There are places to consign your familys "Heirlooms" but North Palm Canyon Drive is probably not the right place for that. Jimmy and Miguel are great to work with and they're both nice guys. It's too bad that people are quick to judge someone over them not wanting to purchase your stuff...Like Jack Nicholson said "You can't handle the truth" But then to go and write a bad review just shows your lack of dignity.

At Re{x), there are three super talented people who work there (one of them being the owner) who know a lot about fancy furniture. They've been doing this for more than 50 years combined! They're really good at finding special furniture that's really old, really nice, or even one-of-a-kind. They're also on Instagram, where they share awesome pictures of each item (however come into the store where you can see the complete inventory...its a warehouse space and its HUGE!) They have a really nice website, rex.haus. If you like things that look really nice in your home, this is the perfect place for you. I also like the fact that the staff here are SO friendly, helpful and nice and I've always had great interactions with them every single time. There are many different styles of furniture at Re{x).
