First surgery January 11th at UCLA MEDICAL CENTER Second one June 29th. My daughter needs a cornea transplant. Corneas from a deceased person. Kimberly said she wouldn't need it. They have something else for her. On May 9th she had the cross linking procedure. Which isn't permanent like Kimberly said. That if this fails then will need the transplant. The day I talked to Kimberly. 10 mins later my daughter called me and when we got too the hospital they said she needed surgery in May just like Kimberly predicted. Xzavier was scheduled for the second surgery a little after Tamea had the crossing linking procedure. My can't talk but he was breaking out badly. We took him to the hospital. Finally I asked Kimberly what is wrong with Xzavier she said it's his clothes it the detergent lol we moved to sensitive detergent now he hasn't broke out in months. Kimberly's No doctor but she's helped me medically with my son who can't talk doctors couldn't help. She said I would get my Diabetes together. And now my sugar is under control. Kimberly helped me navigate everything with my kids by just knowing what would happen before I knew so by time I got to the doctors it was like hey Kimberly told me that and it called for less tears. This has…read morebeen the worst year for me, with one thing dogpiling on to the next, and yes, it's only April. I've been in a very dark place just not feeling like myself, and I have to say that after meeting with her, my spirit feels so much lighter. Kate is very calming, and very ethereal, and her space is very serene. I was disappointed she wouldn't allow me to record our session, but after her explanation, of course it made sense, and I respected her reasoning. But I quickly got home and journaled as much as I could because I wanted to remember all of it. At first, I wasn't really sure what to make of it all. She shared with me much about myself, which simply helped me to understand everything I am going through from another perspective. She shared with me, that I myself, apparently have my own gifts. So, I will say there were times when she was speaking to me, perhaps as if I should have understood the language she was using, and I got a little lost. But I held on to every word, did some research when I got home, and even read many of her blog posts, which ultimately ended up helping me to better understand. I didn't even share the half of what I have been going through recently with Kate, but I did share the worst. In a quick summation of the 90 minutes I spent with her, she taught me that I always have angels with me, and that I need to have more faith in the unknown. If that sounds hokey to you, or something you think a therapist could say to you and this is a waste of time, then you're a nonbeliever, and don't bother. I assure you, I am in therapy, but with the added layer of my meeting with Kate, again, I just feel so grateful and so much lighter.
