At that time it was one of the very few hotels in the area, & was being renovated. It was owned by a local family, the Perrotta's who also owned Hotel Perrotta a few villages away. It was obviously built (1960's?) as a large wedding & event facility with multiple ballrooms & dining rooms oddly named for coffee varieties. The rooms were simple, clean & traditional & the staff very friendly & accommodating. Breakfast was very nice & served in the bar. As in most of rural Irpinia, little English is spoken but my broken American Italian was understood as it derived 100 years ago from the local dialect which is rapidly disappearing here, but can still be heard in the Bronx. I reviewed this hotel b/c some info is better than none, and this wonderful relatively unspoiled area is only recently being discovered as a tourist destination. There is, or was, very little information about it in tour guides, but you'll need to recheck everything I say here bc it's obviously 10 years out of date.
