We ordered the shiva burger which I would have adored from its first complex bite, but one bite of the Poutine took over. I ordered the mushroom version with vegetarian gravy on the side due to many food allergies, and the flavor was so rich and complex that it was not at all missed when I decided I needed to go without. I ate every bite. Mom petit amie ordered the regular, straight up not vegetarian- and also claimed it to be the best he ever had - and is still thinking about it 24 hours later. He also ordered the Saison Farmhouse ale and though I'm not much of a beer drinker I went back for seconds. The quality and fresh ingredients came through and I loved the tiny fizzy bubbles compared to your average beer. Sooooo good- every bit of it including the warm cozy atmosphere and the attentive service. And did I say that the fries are actually baked and not fried? No guilt here for eating every bite!

They make an impressive variety of beer onsite, and I enjoyed all of the ones I tried. Some of their beers include stouts, cream ales, hefeweizens, and kolsch, along with the standard IPAs available. Not sure if they have had a recent management change, but our experience here recently after one of our events was not at all what we had expected from this place and we were embarrassed of the fact that we suggested this place Not sure if it was our English speaking or the fact that one of our members was wearing an LGBTQIA t-shirt But neither is acceptable We waited close to 2 hours for our meal, as we saw others who came in after us getting served The staff was nice but no one came by to let us know what was going on And after finally complaining, the woman in charge comes by to tell us that there was a problem in the kitchen - Really? And how did the other folks seem to get their food on time? Rest of the family was home cooking dinner so we were really just grabbing a beverage and an app to split. There was live music, had a very difficult time understanding what he was singing even though we knew the songs. Bartender was very chill and did a great job. Place was busy so reservations would be ideal rather than popping in. Second night the other half of my family came for dinner. We had an appetizer of buffalo cauliflower which was good. I enjoyed my shepherds pie, grandfather liked his fish & chips (which I seen a lot of people order the night before). My uncle had chicken wings while my cousin had chicken sandwich, both were pleased with their meals as well. I imagine there is a lot of traffic from the hotel in the same plaza. Parking can be very difficult later in the evening. One thing that aggravated me was the lack of care to keep a clean sidewalk free if ice and snow. I say this because my girlfriend is disabled and where the handicap parking spot is the ramp and the sidewalk leading to the main entrance was covered in snow. Not only that anyone who is elderly would have difficulties walking as well.

Nice rainy Sunday afternoon we got a seat near the window, we had a nice waitress who got us two beers and some water. My coors light was flat and the man who ordered one behind me was fresh so I just told her to take it back and I'll stick to the water. The same thing happened with my best friend she got the Heineken and it was flat and tasted like skunk. We decided to share the pizza and wings. I asked for the pizza to be well done she said it always is but what we got was half cooked and mushy. Had a funky taste and we stopped eating it thinking we would get sick. The wings were okay until we started to find some that needed to be cooked longer. On top of that we had a man and his wife sitting near us and the entire time the man was just staring in to our eyes even when he got caught looking he would just do it again. Super creepy man who did not help the overall experience at this location. They also had a wasp in the resto which happens. a elderly woman who demanded she sit at the table by the window where they hadn't cleaned up yet so lots of cups and stuff they had to rush over to clean that up then she's getting vocal about a wasp. Attitude Montagne is an award winning trekking company that can take you climbing any where in the world you might long to go. The walls are covered in awe inspiring photos and ancient clilmbing picks found along icey trails in far away places. The pub is awesome, with a great big patio outside that is super dog friendly, a big fireplace inside with big Adirondack chairs and baskets full of blanks, big local beer list, affordable nice Whiskeys, and some actually super tasty food. The ribs were tasty and tender, the mac and cheese with wild mushrooms was a love, and the onion soup made with beer instead of white wine was hearty and sooooo good on a cool day. The service was comfortably bilingual and really cool and engaged and friendly. They cared a lot about the experience they were providing and it made me want to book and epic trek with them. Not sure that will happen any time soon, but I'll definitely be back to this pub any chance I can get!

Of course, you don't have to be a guest to enjoy it, the day use rate is fair and passers by might be tempted for a workout or to nosh at the delicious restaurant and pub attached. It's also possible to hire an accredited guide out of the premises for local rock/ice climbing or international expeditions if you start to dream big after a glass of whisky. Highly recommended.
