Very cute atmosphere in an old train station, with tracks still outside. The service was really good, and the food was even better.

I stopped in for dinner, after seeing the ice sculpture of a train in front of the restaurant. Seemed busy for a Monday night, but I was able to sit at the bar quickly. The bartender was super friendly, and I was able to practice my limited French with him. Unlike another reviewer, who felt his dish wasn't too flavorful, I thought my Frutti del Mer In Blanco was excellent, with a delicate flavor, and certainly not overpowering, like some Italian restaurants I've been to. This place is decent. The food was somewhat lacking in flavor, but I would say thats the case with many places here. Big portions, we ended up with a lot left over. Built in an old train station, Restaurant Antipasto has a really cool ambience filled with railroad themed decorations. I ordered the Caesar Salad, French Onion Soup and the Antipasto Pizza: The Caesar Salad was large but a bit watery and bland for a caesar. The French Onion Soup was tasty but contained too many soggy crouton in the bowl which made for a bit of an off putting texture. The Antipasto pizza looked amazing but again tasted a bit bland compared to my expectations. I am a huge fan of truffle, but I did not taste any at all even though it was supposed to be a featured part of the pizza. Outside of the ambience, I thought it was a pretty average experience. We went on a Thursday several weeks ago on a whim while skiing at Mont Tremblant. The restaurant had amble seating and was able to accommodate us. Being from the states, they were well versed in French and English. Our waiter, who was originally from Montreal, did a nice job. Food was good. Will return next time I go Skiing there. Added bonus they support veterans and three in our party got a 15% discount. read more

One of the worst meals I've ever had of 2023. Just horrible value for money. Wow. Just look at the photos and you will realize how mediocre the presentation and food really is. The photos gave me concerns but the "descriptions" in the menus made me feel like the meal I would get would be an deception. ..NOPE. The pizza was crispy and burnt with black spots on the bottom. They have no idea how to make pizza so you can guess about the rest of the menu. I ordered the ALLA GONDOLIERE $45 and immediately regretted it once it came. Just a big gigantic sloppy mess with zero flavour. The whole thing is trying to be 2 meals on one. My wife got ALLA CACCIATORE $22 and at least that was edible. For half the price. read more

Great spot, cozy atmosphere with a great menu including kids menu. Service was friendly and fast, really enjoyed our meal.

After a wonderful day we decided to visit this place. Although the food was good our server Natacha was horrible. First, all tables were brought complimentary bread, she never brought us any. Came to the table and ask us what we wanted to drink and insisted that everybody must order a drink if they are sitting a the table. When ordering our food she again insisted that everybody must order something, despite two of our friends being on a strict diet. When our food came, she brought the wrong pizza to the table, we didn't notice since it looked similar to what we ordered. She then comes back with the correct pizza and ask if we still wanted it because she brought the wrong one and questioned why we were eating it. Arrogantly she asked again if we wanted the pizza and that is was not free that we had to pay for it. We noticed her service was different to our table and her dislike towards us being Hispanics. When she brought us the ticket she said a 20% tip was mandatory and insisted we must leave it. Unfortunately, we won't be back for the rest or future trips. We own a travel agency and this establishment is never going to be suggested to our clients. It is unfortunate how she served us and her way that almost made people at our table cry. read more

Read my other reviews...I rarely give bad marks for bad experiences, but this place...I just couldn't resist. Being that the most recent review was 10 months ago, I felt this place needed fresh write-up. So knowing in you have to make reservations everywhere well in advance for this area (and including Mont Tremblant) this was the first place my Smokin Hot German Blond (tm) made res for our first night here. Slot reserved for 8p on a Thursday night (8/5/2021) Observations: - Waited 10 mins to get seated knowing that the table they put us at was empty the moment we arrived. - Waited 20 minutes for the server to even come to our table to take our drink order. That's not an exaggeration! Believe me, I'm a pilot and like to exaggerate, especially when I tell my best flying bud "RSILC" that he had the most smoothest landing ever (haha) - Note we are at +30 mins past our reservation time at this point... - First round of drinks took 11 minutes to reach our table. My wife and I ordered lemon drop martinis. Back up a few...when we asked the server for them, he said they usually don't do drinks like that. I thought to myself...first, they have the word "bar" in their name. Second, they are an Italian joint (at least that's what my pea-sized brain deducts from the join's name also)...and third, they have...vodka and lemoncello per their menu. Hmmmmmm. Another warning flag. Drinks amounts weren't plentiful and tasteless. - When it came to ordering, I wanted chicken marsala which comes with a side of pesto pasta. Not my fave side so I asked if they could make a side of linguine or fettuccine and just add it into the marsala sauce. Nope, they couldn't do that, like every other Italian place I've been to. So I switched up my order to chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Just as tasteless as my drink I ordered - Not necessarily a restaurant observation, but our daughter had the smoked salmon appetizer. She was so bored at this point that she was methodically hacking her salmon into the smallest pieces with a butcher's precision with her knife, that it became more interesting to watch her than anything else, thus reducing my blood pressure from the awful service we've had up until this point! Ha - Switching gears, I ended up ordering a glass of Cab from Sonoma valley. That, was the best part of my entire 2.5 hours there. Just wish I had ordered the entire bottle to help me forget this place. And believe me, I'm a pretty observant person. Saw that one of the guys at a nearby table had to get up and get his own bill to pay since they were waiting a long time for their server to come back after they were done. Also observed two gentleman to the other side of our table wait almost as long to get their drink order taken. We've come here 3 years in a row, and it is some of the best food in town. However, the way we were treated this weekend has made us not want to come back. The man who runs the restaurant is condescending and snarky. He gives you the impression he is better than you and does not want you to be there. Horrible personality for the restaurant business! Another staff member who was working the front desk was cold and nasty to us. We had a very sweet waitress, but the experience when we walked in the door was one of the worst we've ever been treated at a restaurant before. We unfortunately won't be coming back. read more

What a fabulous lunch on the patio! We were so fortunate to have Jesse for our server & he was amazing!! He went above & beyond..the wine we ordered was not available & he recommended another & it was perfect! We brought out puppy with us & he was even attentive to her, bringing a water bowl, without us even asking..we had escargot, spaghetti w meat balls & a pizza..the pizza was cooked perfect..thin crunchy crust! A favorite of my in laws, this is a nice place to have lunch or dinner....several escargot dishes, a great French onion soup, rich creamy foods.... You will have many options! The food is rich though, so consider splitting apps or dishes... They also bring bread to the table. At the end, don't forget to ask for a parking token for the lot behind them. read more

Came here for dinner while visiting Mont Tremblant. A little bit away from the main downtown area but not terribly far. Got seated right away. Service was friendly. We had a large party and ordered different things and generally everybody was pretty happy with what they received. Prices were reasonable the portions fairly large. This place is absolutely terrible, with some of the worst food I've ever had! One star because the hostess seated us when we walked in, but our server almost completely ignored us. In fact, we had to flag her down, even though her section had four tables only (maybe she thought that minorities don't like to spend money, or maybe she was simply upset that, being from Montreal, we were not francophones....). In either case, all the other tables got attention every two to five minutes, but she only visited our table four times in two hours, once to take our order, once to get our bill, once to bring our food, and once more because I flagged her down to get our water refilled. If racism was not the issue, then they made sure we felt that it was. On the food, the bread was cold, very hard and dry. The oysters were unpalatable because the dish had only an overpowering sauce. I would ask everyone to steer clear of the veal (or whatever excuse for veal that was) and the pasta and sauce could have been better if I had gone to get regular spaghetti sauce and box pasta from a depaneur (not even a real grocery store). Service with a smile seemed reserved for not our table. The food was so terrible, we had to at least return the veal....we couldn't really delve into the pasta, primarily cuz it was a pile of mush. There are a lot of good reviews for this restaurant which is very surprising. We ordered a Cesare salad which we should have returned to the kitchen. The lettuce was rusty brown and wilted. I think there was shredded mozzarella in it and there was much too much dressing. I ordered a past a pasta dish with Italian sausage and back olives in a cream sauce. It tasted like water. Nothing had any flavour including the "Parmesan" cheese that was grated on top. I was hungry so I ate it but do yourself a favour and DO NOT order this dish. I am pretty sure the olives came out of a can. Also, our daughter's pasta and meat sauce was floating in a pool of water. read more

Went here for dinner over a ski weekend. I thought everything was very good - I got escargot and pasta, and my boyfriend the veal Marsala. The veal Marsala was awesome, I tried to steal as many bites as I could. The place is in a cool old train station with history - I always enjoy that. Saw this place during a day of walking around St. Jovite and decided to give it a try. The food was very good, the service excellent and the atmosphere was nice. Context: 4 adults, two kids. Monday night in July. Hungry kids after a day in the pool. Hostess seemed perturbed we had not made reservations on a Monday evening but soon was ok with us ordering some drinks while we waited for a table (30 min). Once we were seated the waitress was pleasant but we waited over 45 min for food. Waitress did not check in with once. Good thing we had the iPad and some colouring activities! I ordered the Al Funghi pizza and despite the dough being thinner than a slice of phyllo dough it was significantly under-cooked. My daughter deemed her pasta al Fredo "delicious" and my husband and mother in law also enjoyed their pasta. I hope we just caught them on an off night. read more

Absolutely horrendous food. Ordered three dishes including pizza, pasta, and Cesar salad with chicken. Worst food I have ever eaten. Stay away from this place, it's a tourist trap. If you ordered grilled chicken with your salad, you get pieces of old cold cut chicken. Their pasta is old food that they heat up. Can't even make a simple pizza.
