When one of the staff noticed me exploring they gave me the run down of everything and when I said I was looking for the makers space, she directed me down two blocks to the right place. They offer tons of programs for older people who want to figure out their computers, to babysitting courses for teens and resume writing help for anyone! There are great study areas on the top and middle floors and every once and a while they have old books for sale for about a quarter each! I have been coming here to study since I was a kid and it is my favourite library in this town. The old librarians are always helpful if you need it. The young people who put away the books sometimes will start to gossip when you are trying to study but if you tell them off they are horrified. Some odd rules exist like they don't want you to put your feet up on the ancient tables and you can't have a computer in the silent study room... Making it useless but other than that it's a good library.

The building itself is also quite beautiful, with lots of natural light and visual interest. I learned it has been renovate or added to four times! There are plenty of computers for people to use, and other technological tools -- some of which I didn't even recognize. There is ample seating for studying and even a private meeting room (though it is made of clear glass, so visual privacy is a no-go). It's also kid-friendly with plenty of children's books and hands-on activities for the youngest patrons. As someone who's worked in libraries in the past, I foudn Idea Exchange to be a real pleasure.

I have spent COUNTLESS hours here volunteering every summer, and I know this library in and out…read more It's a great place to study, use the internet, read, and bring kids for the library's great array of programming and activities which you can find out about on their website. There are three floors, the first is mostly for kids and teens, the second and third for quiet-er study and reading. Lots of tables, books, and comfy chairs means there is always a place available. If you can't find something you're looking for through the catalogue, ask a librarian, they are all very friendly and know where to find everything. The library has a huge collection of books, DVDs, government reference materiels, newspapers, magazines, board games, historial-London documents, decades of newspapers on microfilm, music, accessible reading materiels, computers, unemployment services, etc. If you are getting hungry or need a caffeine boost, a Little Red Roaster is on the first floor and offers decent coffee and snacks. I have been bothered once or twice by creepy strangers, but I've also been a camp counsellor watching 20 kids at a time run around the library and read books - so I have no doubt about it being a very safe place and library security is very helpful and available.

This library has absolutely beautiful architecture. The outside is silver with glass and looks…read morethoroughly modern. The inside is stunning, modern and makes you feel happy! The lights reminds me of moons and stars. Open concept space with comfy colourful seats and ledges that showcase books. You can also sit on the ledges below the moon and stars lighting as you can see in my pics. This is one fun library! They have 3D printing and button making for free on the daily!! There was a game by the kid section of the library and there was a sticker station (not sure if this is offered on the daily). The 3d printing allows you to make miniature toys and learn how to design your 3d art. There is a two hour limit on the 3d printing. Very enjoyable!
