I've known the owner for about eight years, so I was excited to finally be able to work with him…read more I hired Human Fliers, LLC to gather petitions for me for a local race that I was running in. They were hired to gather 300 and assured me that they would check, in advance, the validity of each of the signatures so that they would be accepted. I myself, knowing that it's better to be safe than sorry, gathered 90 signatures on my own, confident that with this quantity, I would definitely qualify for the ballot. The night before the signatures were due, I sat down with the owner and counted how many they had gathered. They were still significantly short. He assured me that he had it handled. The next day, we went in and submitted 368 signatures, including the 90 I gathered. The Clerk discarded 199 of the signatures. According to my math, Human Fliers was paid to get 300, and ultimately only got me 70. If you want to work with this firm, you can. They're not bad people, they're just disorganized and not entirely truthful. Schedule check ins on a frequent basis, and verify what they're saying, rather than taking it at face value. Before you pay them, make sure that they've done what they've said they'll do. To their credit, they refunded me half of what I paid them, but that's a pretty piss poor gesture when I couldn't get on the ballot, and they only got me about a quarter of what I wanted.
