Mike is great and very easy to work with. He did our signs at Vintage Market in Westland. He was able to customize it to my exact vision.

Extremely happy with our new awning from Marygrove. Well built with full enclosure of the awning…read morewhen closed. Being a retired Engineer I appreciate the robustness of the side arm construction and the quiet/smooth operation of the awning when opening and closing. 10 year standard warranty and inclusive LED lightening where their main competitor charges you for this by going with their upgraded models at a significant cost increase over their base model. Also better fabric selection with the Marygrove models from what I saw where we were definately more enamored with their fabrics over their main competition which was a big deal for us. As a tip, when you do your competitive analysis/quotes make sure you do an apples to apples comparison where you look at all the variables. The competition will reel you in with the low cost less robust model and then persuade you to upgrade with what Marygrove offers as standard. Just my two cents here.

When he was done he dropped his ladder on my fairly new deck. I was so worried about the deck and making sure it was not damaged, I didn't notice the hole in my door wall screen. I called them a couple hours later and also forwarded a picture of the damage. I also sent them an invoice for new screen. They paid my contractor directly that same day and sent me a copy of the receipt. Very happy with their prompt attention to this matter!

On October 31st, 2012, my husband and I purchased a fixer upper in the Metro-Detroit area. We had…read moreour hands full, but we managed to get half of the house fully completed by 2014. Then, disaster struck... In August 2014, the lower half of our bi-level was flooded with sewage back-up from heavy rains. The rooms that had been fully completed (Family, Kitchen & Dining Rooms) were harmed in the flood and at that point my husband and I decided to take a break from fixing up the house. To get away from it all, we planned to take a trip to relax and clear our heads to prepare for another 2 years of home repair. Right before we had left for our trip our hot water heater exploded and the bathroom upstairs started leaking. Right at this point, we were beyond frustrated and in over our heads... we needed help. After researching and calling multiple contractors and handy-men, we finally came across a company we could trust. Northwest Construction, a family owned business, peaked my interest due to their amazing reviews and their portfolio. Terry - Roofing & Siding, one of the owners, was the first person we had met. He was very professional and took the time to give us details about what needed to be done, and how much it would cost. His team of professionals, including Aaron - Windows, and Ron Bozzi - Bathrooms also came out to the house to talk about options and how I could stay within my budget. It was amazing that I was involved every step of the way. So, it was clear that my whole house needed some tlc, but what needed to be done first was the leaking bathroom, roof and windows. They first came out to remove my leaking chimney and shingle my roof. It only took them a couple of days, and it looks absolutely amazing. They used excellent quality shingles, and installed new vents. Terry's roofing and siding team got the job done and did a wonderful job. Next, they installed Anderson windows for an excellent price. Our old windows emitted heat in the summer and cold during the winter, and it was extremely uncomfortable. It was so bad that we had to put duct tape around the edges and trash bags over the glass. So, when they installed the new ones, I was in heaven. Aaron, the window guru, was very helpful and honest, unlike Wall-Side windows who wanted to charge us an arm and a leg. Last, and this was the BIG project, was the bathroom. I hated this bathroom. It had disgusting pea green tile from the 70s, and leaks from the shower and, eww, the toilet. My husband and I had stripped the whole bathroom including expanding it to make it larger and more comfortable for a family. Ron Bozzi, and his side-kick Chris, came to our rescue and spent time helping us choose the best options for the bathroom while sticking to the budget. We gave Ron no easy task. The bathroom needed updates from its 70s wiring to uneven studs. Ron, however, fixed it all. I love it when a contractor takes the time to fix the problem and not cover it up. There was nothing Ron couldn't handle. In the end, the bathroom looks amazing and I couldn't be happier. Terry and his team made me very happy. I plan on hiring them for more projects in the future. They treat you like family, and respect your needs and wants for your house. I so glad I went with Northwest Construction.

I have to take a few deep breaths before writing this review…read more We had Alexandria Windows come out to replace a few windows two summers ago. The communication and scheduling was lacking, so we were a little frustrated, but it didn't prepare us for the ordeal we were going to be dealing with. We live in an old house, 1920's. My husband expressed this many times, that appropriate measures would have to be taken as we had lead in our old windows and trim. I heard him over the phone as well as in person and he was assured they would take the steps necessary. The day the windows were to be replaced, my kids and I left the house. Two windows were in our daughters room, the other in our guest bedroom. One window was oriented the wrong way and still installed. The worst part was, after removing the old windows, the workers took leaf blowers out to blow debris out into the yard below and all over the rooms. My husband ran upstairs and yelled at them to stop, that once again, there was lead paint involved. They stopped and cleaned up, but not well enough. My husband wiped everything down afterwards, not trusting it was cleaned properly. A few months later, my daughter received test results showing elevated levels of lead in her blood. It was quick and not a single other person in our family had any detectable levels. I was livid. I'm still livid. I don't care that one of our windows is wrong or that it took forever to arrange communication. I'm livid that lead safe practices weren't followed as promised and my child had to pay for it. You can't put a price on that. Thankfully, she's grown, and the situation is under control now, but if you have an old house, I would absolutely not recommend this company. To the owner, if your business gives homeowners your word that things will be done safely and following safe standards, you need to follow through. Safety should be top priority. This could have had a very poor outcome.
