Growing up in Florida, Publix has always been a special place for me (if you know you know). This location is pretty standard (it's not one of the recently renovated, fancy ones yet), feels safe, and is easy to get to, with parking in front (which I always find a spot at, even when busy) or below (which has had lots of attention drawn to it as of late with an overabundance of yellow signs advertising it!). The staff is always polite, and helpful when asked questions. Normally, I find everything I need here, save for some specialty items or more obscure international items I may be looking for. While I have had the occasional surprise of them not carrying an item I would have expected them to (hazelnuts, for example), as I said, most of the time, I find what I'm looking for. read more

I recently started shopping here because it's close to the Brookhaven dog park which makes it easy to combine exercise for our dog with our weekly grocery shopping. This is definitely the best/nicest Publix nearby. Reminds me more of the Publixes in Florida. There's a salad bar which makes it feel more like Whole Foods. Every section is expansive. That said, I find that I have trouble finding basic items that you'd be able to easily spot in a location with a more limited selection. I'm sure I'd get more used to it if I came every week. I also don't love the parking situation. There's an underground deck and a street level lot but the area gets quite crowded especially on the weekends. read more

This is a very good grocery store. Plenty of parking. Plenty of carts that run smooth. Affordable prices. They have a large deli section and I pretty big sized bakery. I got pastries and they are delicious. They have some nice frozen meals. Large wine selection in the back corner. Plenty of cashiers to help you check out. The staff is extremely friendly. So this Publix is the one that I go to mostly. They have plenty of sandwiches at the deli area which is why I go. I swear a week or two ago I got at least one sandwich everyday. Lol. Anyway, depends on what time you go that can make or break your trip. Because if it's around lunch time or early dinner when people are getting off work, you will have to probably wait in line. Also to note, you might want to make sure that the food is fresh because I actually waited around a little bit for some fresh onion rings instead of having the ones that have been sitting and it made a difference. Now I'm not saying the food isn't fresh but I want them to have a fresh batch before I start doing that. At the deli spots you can get a sandwich or a wrap, you can get fried foods as well. Like that's where they have their chicken wings and all other already made fried foods. As long as you adhere to the time frame, and don't get mad, if you have to wait around, you'll be fine. You really can't tell from the outside, because looks are deceiving, but this is a nice big Publix store! There is ample parking, which is also deceiving, both at the ground level and underground. From what I've observed, Covid-19 precautions are taken here. Employees wear face masks throughout the store, floor signage at the cash registers indicated to customers where they should stand in line, and antibacterial wipes are available to wipe shopping cart handles. I came here to buy some baking items needed for a Yelp event via Zoom conferencing in which we learned how to prepare and bake biscuits from the great staff at Tupelo Honey Cafe. I found everything (that I didn't already have at home) at this store, and I thought I paid pretty good prices. All items were stocked in logical places and very easy to find. Another thing that I wanted to do while I was here was get a freshly made sub sandwich. The woman at the deli department was very nice and patient while I tried to make up my mind. If you know me, I hate having a lot of choices to select from, and I had to make a lot of choices from a lot of selections here! I know she smiled a couple of times behind her masked face when saw my face scrunch up while I tried to make many final decisions. Yes, I know, it's only a sandwich, but it's going into my stomach! Lol. Anyhow, I got an Italian sub. The bread, meat, and everything else that went into my sub were fresh and delicious. Great price for my sub too! I am really impressed by the deli department; they have so many food items for people on the go, or for those who shouldn't cook. ;-) The deli employee provided great customer service. I was surprised to find a Publix on the Southside. Always having to drive north to decent shopping, it's great that this top notch grocery store is so close! Good quality is well worth the extra expense and you get what you pay for so go ahead and enjoy nice quality food! read more

This Publix is full of attitude. They make 30 people wait in the line for the self checkout while only having one regular checkout lane open. There were 10 lanes that were closed and dozens of employees milling about not doing a damned thing. I went to the customer service area to get checked out as I only had four items and the queen at the register told me to go wait in the massive line. Publix executives: you would sh$t yourselves if you snuck into this location. Everyone at the deli is awesome. Everyone else sucks. Get your sh$t together Publix!!! This is the best Publix I have ever been to. Underground parking available with elevators for carts. Extremely clean restrooms. Clean and organized store. All the labels were facing forward and all cans pushed forward. (My OCD rejoices) Cafe with seating, offering coffee, soda, pastries, and more. Departments: Bakery: I have purchased some beautifully decorated cakes from Publix. they really hire some talented folks to execute them. Plus, they sell cannolis, eclaires, petit fours, and chocolate dipped strawberries. Meat: They have a misting machine to keep the steaks from getting dry. Cheese: I will have to update, I didn't visit this dept. Seafood (Clean tanks with live and healthy looking lobsters) Deli bar with prepared meats, pasta salads, and more. Produce: This is the section that really sets this store apart. A beautiful, fresh, assortment of gleaming fresh and organic produce. One is hard pressed (no pun intended) to find a blemished apple here. See Pic. Customer Service: Extremely friendly and helpful. Baggers always present and offer to bring your bags to your car. Love this Publix location. Much more variety than the Johnson Ferry location. I've had issues with my instant print coupons, and management has never given me any problems. The selection of seafood is usually very good. I've found it hard to find wild caught fish in the area. This location has it, as well as scallops and shrimp. The bakery is good and I love the custom sub station. My only complaint is the hesitation to give rain checks. If any item is on sale and out of stock, a rain check should be issued. My friend was adamant that since I had never had a "pub sub" before that we stop in and get a sandwich. I was indecisive, but Andre really stepped up and asked what I liked and said to trust him and he'd make the best sandwich ever. He took his time, walked over to the baking rack to get me a fresh loaf of bread, toasted the sandwich just enough to melt the cheese, and proceeded to build what can only be called a DELICIOUS sandwich. My favorite Publix in the Atlanta, a lot has everything I am looking for and more. It's not the closest one to me but compared to other Publix this larger and have more options such as 4 fresh soups vs 3 fresh soup daily, an ice bar/coffee shop, and a salad/hot bar. I come to this location a ton when in the Brookhaven area and it never too crazy with customers because it's so large. This Publix, tucked in the busy town Brookhaven, is surprisingly a great stop for groceries. There is always parking despite it being in a busy location. The cashiers and baggers are always so pleasant and helpful. Also intimate is a weird phrase to describe a grocery store but it feels like a smaller, more neighborhood friendly publix that feels intimate in the sense that it's not overwhelming and they always are stocked. My favorite Publix around town! Always well-stocked, clean and will usually have some "hard to find" items I may not be able to get elsewhere. Produce tends to look better/fresher than other major grocery stores--huge plus! There is a cooking station for food demos, which is cool. They also have Event Planning, which I utilized for an office party and things went off fabulously. Also, this location's customer service is tremendous on a regular basis...from the Deli to the Bakery...and everything in between. I have yet to see extremely long lines, and few cashiers, like some other stores (I'm sure you can think of a few LOL). I suppose the only challenge is that this location is nowhere near my home. However, it's not too far from work, so I typically only make it here during the weekday. So, far, I have yet to be disappointed shopping here. From the lame customer coupon perks that forces the customer to sift through coupons and check them off on their app to the lame bread department that has mostly enriched flour selections to the small excuse for a seafood section. Sorry if you love Pubiix but all I see is an overpriced and limited choice store that doesn't have their customers in mind. We are all trying to make healthier choices and trying to be cost conscience. Try rewarding your loyal customers for coming into your store multiple times in a week. I would love to input my phone number at the register and be greeted by the cashier with my name and see the mark downs on products that I chose. I would love to hear "you saved X-$'s," instead of spending time at home or in the parking lot sifting through useless coupons on their app only to find 1 or 2. I try to buy fresh food not processed garbage that last into the year 2020. Get with it Publix. read more

I've only lived in Atlanta since September and I haven't shopped at a rep samp of supermarkets. But this Publix is pretty darn impressive. 1. The store is exceptionally clean. 2. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I've had the manager volunteer to take me to find an item I couldn't locate. The pharmacists staff is terrific. 3. They've got a clerk in a green vest directing you to the next free cashier. 4. They've got the highest ratio of cashiers to shoppers of any grocery store I've ever been to. I've never had to wait for more than one shopper to check out ahead of me. Usually there is a free cashier waiting for me to pull up. Hey, Von's in PB, are you listening??? You wheel your cart right up to a waiting casher. An admission: I've always referred to Publix as "the Pube." I like this store so much I might have to revise the nickname. read more

Oh, I love being home! Not just to see friends and other important stuff like eating at as many yummy places as I can fit into a few days, but for the basics - like going to this Publix. Still so pretty, with super nice employees (and the only downside, still as busy or more as ever) and with exactly what I needed last night: dog toys. Luke just loooves his stuffed animal toys (we name them and have gone through Freddy the Frog, Charlie the Crocodile, you name it) and he loves to tear them apart and leave what looks like a stuffed animal war all over the living room, with body parts all akimbo. His were looking almost empty so I ran into Publix to grab a couple - this location has a better though smaller selection compared to others (including the one I use in Chatt), with prices on American Classic brand ones being within $0.50 of the less-sturdy looking Publix brand. I picked two ($4.99 and $5.49) so we have now added Max the Mallard and a to-be-named mouse or some smaller creature to our zoo. Note- there are other options for smaller (like Big sized, under 10lbs) in stuffed as well as different sizes and materials of chewable bones, etc. I also took a few minutes to stroll around and was surprised to see that my fave candies (like Haribo gummy bears and peanut M&Ms) are all about $1 or more less, in all size bags, than in Chatt. Go figure. It's good to be home. read more

This is probably the ultimate health nut's Publix. I come here all the time after a hard work out at LA fitness to pick up a prescription or pick up some BOGO deals for a snack or dinner. There are at least 10 other LA fitness members inside Publix at all times. At the end of every aisle is another organic offering or protein bar or healthy low carb rice or other showcase. I feel healthier just walking through the aisles. The staff is friendly and helpful, and really make "shopping a pleasure." Parking is usually pretty open on weeknights. It's a bit cramped in the open lot, but I always find a spot. There is another deck with additional parking but I've never had to venture out there. Want to get healthy? I ordered a spinach wrap I was the first one in the store and the spinach wrap with boars head turkey. It had one sliver of turkey and to make up for the wrap not having any meat it was piled on with vegetables I felt too embarrassed to ask for extra turkey but I will never ever get that at that store again it seems as though there is a block there because every time I go after my work out to get a Spanish wrap from that particular store they are stingy on the turkey and they seem to have an attitude when I come and ask for the Spinach wrap. so I will be going to the new Publix and Chamblee and avoiding that store altogether read more

Well this is my neighborhood grocery store and I always have a great experience. The staff is friendly and it's always clean and well organized. I've shopped here for almost five years but never used their catering service until now. I ordered several plates including a cake for my daughters graduation Party. The person assisting me seemed new on the job so I gave her some understanding when I was never called as promised with the total amount due of my order that is until I called to remind them that they didn't send this information when promised. Unfortunately not to my surprise when I arrived to pick up my order at 2pm An order that was supposed to be ready at 11am. It wasn't ready. I waited an additional 20-30mins, time I simply didn't have only for the wrong name to be on the cake and to have items missing from the order, because they didn't prepare enough. Now I know you're thinking this is a compliant but it's not because the manager when I explained the entire scenario actually did what managers are supposed to do. He made it right he apologized and not with just words he discounted the order in a fair enough way that made all the mistakes tolerable. Even the cake having the wrong name and later realized the wrong icing. The managers ability to recapture me with sincere regret and make it right will have me as a life long Publix shopper! All hope isn't lost for great customer service after all. read more

The store is beautiful, but the pharmacy is terrible. No matter when your prescription is called in, they won't fill it unless you do the following: go to the store, wait on line (may take 10 min), ask to pick up the prescription, get told it will be ready in 25 min so go and do some shopping, come back in 25 min, wait on line again (another 10 min), it still might not be ready... If you ask about the fact that you called to request the refill more than 24 hours earlier, the rude guy will angrily tell you that they handle hundreds of prescriptions so stand aside so that they can 'help' someone else. I guess they are trying to force people to shop at the store every time they need a prescription filled. I don't have the time or patience for this coercive policy. read more

Gurrrl, I thought I'd seen it all but leave it to those crafty folks in the new City of Brookhaven to show out with they fancy grocery stores. In the interest of full disclosure, this store opened years before Brookhaven formally incorporated. I'm just saying that to say it because it doesn't make coming here any less impressive. Gelato? Bish, plz! They go it! And it's goood! Try the raspberry when it's available. Chicken? Yup. You want wings, pieces, or the whole thing? How about rotisserie, fried, or baked? That's not counting the stuff not already cooked. Produce? They might as well have a grove of fruit trees in the middle of the store. It feels as plentiful as a farmer's market (although arguably not as local). Dear Publix, Please, please, please make more stores like this one. I promise if you convert the Ansley Mall location to a similar concept you'll have to start shuttle service from Piedmont Park to accommodate the extra traffic. Love it! This Publix is awesome! I waited to review until it was open for a while to be sure the quality did not drop! I tried this location out on it's opening day. I was pleased to see so many employees there that day, plus goodies like a free insulated reusable bag and a ton of samples. I love that they have a self checkout! I LOVE SELF CHECKOUTS! Their bakery section is a nice size and always has employees over there to help you find items. The floral section is great! Publix has 3 bouquets for $12 and I get them as gifts all the time. This location does not disappoint in the flower assortment. There is a large cheese and wine section. There is also a nice size vitamin and health section near the pharmacy. They also have curb side pickup. You can order online and pick up at a side door. read more

I loathe the grocery store more than the average person. I like this Publix as much as a gal like me can like any grocery store. They have a gelato section, a fancy cheese area, a fairly solid wine selection, and I have enjoyed many bouquets of fresh flowers from this store.
