For the last three years, I have gotten Publix Thanksgiving dinner. On the positive side the turkey was delicious. It was tender and juicy the potatoes and the stuffing were previously frozen and we're all watery. We didn't even eat the stuffing. We microwaved the potatoes and spooned out a lot of the water. Sweet potato casserole was wonderful. I think from now on I will stick to getting the Publix turkey, but make my own sides. It wasn't a disaster meal, but it was disappointing. read more

Publix is known for its excellent customer service, and this store is exemplary! I live in Florida, and my mother, who is elderly, lives in Hendersonville, North Carolina. This is a smaller Publix with less shelf space. My mother's favorite beverage is Publix Diet Ginger Ale. She is not good about staying hydrated, but she is much better when she has her favorite thing to drink. The last couple of Instacart orders I made for her, the shoppers told me they were out of Publix Diet Ginger Ale. This time I called and asked for the store manager to see if it would be possible to keep more in stock, and he explained about the limited shelf space there. He said he would make sure more were stocked, even if they need to be stored in the back. The next part is what makes Publix and this store so amazing. Iggy let me know that a shipment of Publix Diet Ginger Ale would be arriving the next day, and when I said that would be too late because I had built her entire order around the beverage, he offered to deliver them himself. Today he delivered just what my mother needed - Publix Diet Ginger Ale, a hug, and a smile! I can't thank Iggy enough for going above and beyond to deliver the amazing Publix customer service that we all love so much! Had used Publix Pharmacy for years prior to moving to Henderson county and was always impressed by the helpful and caring approach by the personnel. So I was pleased when they opened a store in Hendersonville and immediately began using the pharmacy. Well on this occasion the Pharmacist was unbelievable rude and unhelpful. The spouse and I went there for a flu and Covid-19 vaccination shot and after accepting my insurance card, there was a problem with the spouse's card. We both have the same Medicare Advantage insurance and the cards, except for the name are identical. So I questioned how there could be a problem and the pharmacist started talking about Medicare Part D and how the spouse did not have part D. When I told him she did have part D he became extremely rude and upset and began raising his voice and demanding I let him talk. At this point I became irritated with the attitude and asked for a manager and he declared he was the manager and I needed to leave the store. So I was thrown out of Publix for questioning his decision and attitude. Research on the Medicare web site shows influenza and Covid-19 vaccinations are covered under Part B, so makes no sense how Part D even came up. Went across the street to Ingles Pharmacy where we received our shots with no problem. Will not be shopping at Publix again. read more

The pharmacy staff is RUDE. Went in to get my flu shot and was completely ignored. They acted like I was bothering them and spoke to me like I was an idiot. After waiting for 30 minutes (I was the only one there waiting) someone came out from behind the counter to give me the shot. She did not speak to me and when I thanked her afterwards she just walked away. I'm not even sure she was qualified to be administering it. I'm so used to Publix employees being friendly- but the pharmacy staff today was not. I won't be back. read more

I have been a Publix shopper for 57 years! Yep, 57! I lived in Fla. for 35 years. So glad Publix opened in Hendo, as I used to drive down to Greenville, SC to shop in Publix. Iggy, the store manager, is amazing. Following Hurricane Helene, store managers and assistant managers from Eastern NC and Fla. were stocking shelves and asking every customer if they needed help, etc. As they say "Publix, where shopping is a pleasure". read more

What can you say about Publix.Of all the Grocery stores I have shopped in, Publix is my favorite over Food Lion, Winn Dixie, Ingles (close 2nd) . Always super clean, excellent meat and fish markets, and by far and I mean BY FAR the best store bakery anywhere. Employees are super friendly, courteous ad helpful. It just stinks the nearest one to my house is 30-40 minutes away no matter what direction I go. read more

Four words: HENDERSONVILLE. PUBLIX. MUSHROOM. BRIE. Well, add OUTSTANDING and DELICIOUS. And add KAYE, the delightful woman behind the deli counter who so loves her work she just beams. Who is also a firm believer in having her customers TASTE the cheeses and dips and accompanying crackers. This is my third trip to get that wonderfully creamy, smooth, sumptuous cheese. Worth every trip and every penny. I tried to get some at University Square Publix in Greenville and they had never heard of it. So since I was going to Hendersonville anyway, I just stopped by and bought my wedge. Will be serving it to guests soon. And of course, the wonderfully friendly staff were there in force making you glad you stopped in. read more

If you go to the deli, all staff are instructed to complete online orders before attending to the customers standing in line. This makes no sense!!Today, 8 people stood in line, 4 employees making subs for online orders. Manager stated," Yea I know." It took me twenty minutes to get a sub today and I work here, haha! read more

Always a pleasure to shop at this Publix. Yesterday, for some reason, I left a bag with coffee and cereal in the bottom of the cart. I went back this am to see if it was turned in. I called Publix because I had an issue with my Grocery bill. The woman I spoke to said just come in with your receipt and I can take care of it. I went back that day, shortly after my visit. Have always loved Publix being a Florida native and having one on every corner but...bought some seafood (Cobia) today. VERY misleading to sell your fish prices by the piece rather than by the pound!! Didn't realized I had paid $9.99 per piece rather than per pound until I got home. Shame on you Publix! Was familiar with Publix from our time in Florida. What really makes them top notch in my book here is the catering department. They will deliver with a order of a certain amount. It's hard to love one Publix more than another, so I won't choose favorites but this one is up there. This Publix is fresh and new and full of everything I love about Publix - delicious food, easy ready-to-cook meals, and SUPER helpful and friendly employees. Their motto says it best- "where shopping is a pleasure". They're not lying, the prices may be a few cents higher than ingles but for the quality of the customer service, it's completely worth it. The new Publix in Hendersonville is quite fancy looking (has to compete with Fresh Market and Harris Teeter near by) however the deli department needs more training or employees in deli need evaluating and possible moved to another department. one person in front of me ordering a sub which they had already started on and we still waited 25 minutes to order our sub (yes, she was that slow and yes, it took that long to get a sandwich). We were visiting family in Henson as we are from Greenville and have never experienced this in any SC or FL Publix we have been to. read more

Having grown up in Florida it was a treat to see Publix come to town. This is a well stocked store, wonderful employees, BUT ... here's the one star rating. On several occasions I have questioned the price as labeled in the store only to catch overpricing within the checkout pricing. 1) Fresh Covina @ $12.99 lb (counter display) was priced in the system at $17.99. 2) JacobsCreek wine advertised at $9.98, rang up at $12.98. Recently started shopping Publix Hendersonville after being repeatedly disappointed by a competitor. I ask myself...why did I wait so long? I've found Clorox and Lysol products that have been out of stock at competitor since March. Salmon always available and fresh...versus the brown salmon at competitor. When you enter store, you are greeted by a masked associate who hands you a sanitized shopping cart. Customers wear masks...something not enforced at competitor. Store clean. Associates friendly. I'm now a loyal Publix shopper! read more
