I am a Instacart shopper/customer and every Publix has stuff in different aisles, also when the out of stock Bogo items that I'm shopping for aren't available that's when I need the help from the associates at Publix ...when I come to Mount Dora, I usually have to get help from at least one or two associates each trip, they're always so wonderful and willing. Meet and produce department I tend to ask a lot of help from as when things are on Bogo, the shelves empty fast but everyone's always willing to go in the back and check for me so I can help my customers that I shop for get exactly what they need Shout out to both of those departments and a huge thank you to Tanner in the meat department that I am always asking help from Everyone is always willing and very nice about helping especially when I can't reach the top shelf which is a lot. Seems like everything I shopped for is on the top shelf. I placed an order for roast beef and Swiss cheese today online to be ready at 2:30. At 2:55 they hadn't filled the order, their excuse being they had been busy and were understaffed. This isn't the first time this has happened at this Publix. I'd say there's a management (staffing) issue. read more

Prices keep going up on produce and are not even fresh. I went to buy a bundle of asparagus today and it was $7.99 and it wasn't even good quality just by looking at it. And the rotisserie was so small and I was barely able to get any meat off of it and it was so dry and just overcooked all around (this has been a thing for months now). I could go to Whole Foods or Sprouts which I prefer and pay much lower prices for the things I need and have better quality all around. I live in Stoneybrook so Publix is close but I prefer driving for the quality and better options at sprouts and Whole Foods. And again saving so much more money. Just mind-blown. Not sure what is going on with Publix anymore. read more

This is a newer store and now my local Publix. The staff are very helpful and friendly and always remember me- it's like MY store! They selection is fantastic and if they don't have something that you're looking for, they will order it for you. The Deli, Meat, Seafood and Produce sections all seem like their own stores within a store, and they bend over backwards to make sure you're happy! While the selection is great and the store clean and neat, it's the honestly friendly staff that keep me coming back. read more

I live close to this Publix. It's not a customer service based Publix by any means. I have had a few issues with employees in the past here and it's usually at the customer service counter. Today's experience just left me wondering if anyone even cares that works here. I went to the deli to grab pre cut cheese and meat. They didn't have what I needed prepared so I went to the counter. Where one person was working the subs. In the back they were grouped together about 5-6 people. I waited. I grabbed a number. The one person working the counter still helping other people getting subs and chicken fingers. I ask her if I can get help. She yells out. No one comes. Five minutes I ask again. She yells out for help. No one comes after me at the counter for 15 minutes! I finally went on with my shopping. Noticing that two managers are talking to another manager from another store in produce. After finishing my shopping I go to check out. The cashier is a woman dressed like a manager. She asks if I found everything I needed. I tell her my experience. She says "oh I'm so sorry." That was it. She didn't offer to help me get one I wanted or anything. The lack of caring and customer service at this Publix is greatly lacking! And no one there looks like they care either way. read more

This is a nice Publix. Seems very new but it's clean, spacious and bright. I love the set up too, easy to maneuver and get around the store - lots of space in the aisles. The selection of veggies and fruit is OK. They seem very fresh. Selections of other products were very extensive. It's a good balance. read more

This review is for the Publix Liquor store right next to the main grocery store in the Stony Brook Plaza, because I couldn't find a listing for just the liquor store. I have never had an issue in the grocery store; the staff are absolutely lovely there. There are two ladies who work at the Publix store. One is tall, and she is very nice and professional and has a good sense of humor. The other is short and fat and she is extremely rude. Also, she never seems to know what she's doing, and acts like you're bothering her when you go in. Yesterday I went in to buy a pack of cigarettes (I usually get them from the Roadside Cafe across 441 but I figured I'd just pop over since I was already in the plaza for groceries.) A pack was over a dollar more than in other places, and I made a good-natured comment about the high taxes on cigarettes. She snippily responded "Well, the government has to raise taxes to pay for the operations for lung cancer for people who smoke." I perceived this as very rude and judgmental. Also ignorant, as sales tax has nothing to do with healthcare. I pay for my own heath insurance, and if I choose to smoke then it's my own business. As long as she's working there, I will not be purchasing anything from this liquor store and will instead patronize the independently owned ones in the area. read more

This by far is the WORST Publix I have ever been to in my life... I have sadly been going there for 2 years as it is close to my house. I have never met a pleasant or polite cashier.... usually they always have a nasty attitude.. like you are interrupting their day! I have even had Publix employees cut me in line.... If this ever gets read... please please speak to you team on customer service... this definitely is not what you expect from the Publix experience! Just thinking I need to drive farther rather than deal with these awful people read more

This is my new "home" Publix! I got tired of my old Publix which is much closer to my house. If I can I will make the longer drive to come to this location. This Publix is new and much larger than others. They are not in Apopka city limits which means you can buy beer on Sunday! Speaking of beer, they have a decent craft brew selection as well as singles you can mix and match. The store layout is spacious and well thought out. Employees are as helpful as always. And as a bonus, they do not limit the amount of competitor's coupons you can use! The only negative, besides the distance, is that it is tough to get out of the plaza and head south on OBT. read more

Publix is a great grocery store chain, so you can't really go wrong, regardless of the location. I find, however, that this Publix has a couple of advantages over the other Publix in Mount Dora. The first is that it tends to be much less crowded, though that seems to be changing. The second is that the staff here seem to be much friendlier and more helpful than those from the other Publix in town. There are a couple of disadvantages with this location. One is that it seems a tad dark; it's not as light and bright as some others. The other is that the produce section is not always the great. Fruits in particular are not always very tasty, and the organic selection is limited. Overall, though, this is the staple grocery store, with good prices and choices, along with friendly staff. read more
