Update - I don't buy from the bakery anymore (products are dried out - expiration dates changed?); try not to buy produce there, unless I am desperate (Aldi's produce is fresher and lasts). Now I bought a roasted chicken from deli - and it was inedible (rubber chicken). I have shopped at Publix for decades, but am tired of throwing out food in last few years. I am now buying national brands that are pre-packaged, boxed or canned, rarely anything fresh. I have contacted Publix directly, but store gets worse. They had a great manager at this location a few years ago, but they moved him to another store. That's when the store changed. read more

This is a review of Publix Deli. I have gone two times to this Publix just to buy 2 pieces of chicken breast and each time I received chicken thighs. The first time I blew it off and threw away the chicken. This time I called and talked to the Customer Service Manager (not impressed). I will NOT ever again purchase anything from the deli at this Publix. Yes, it is only a little over $6.00 but it was to be my super. Never again. Be aware and look at the pieces of chicken you choose before you purchase. It's funny I saw a post from a friend about this store from 8 years ago about how it's not clean to the standard of every other publix and the deli is super slow and understaffed. 8 years later...same problem. It's SO disappointing and today took the cake, the guy working the sub counter took literally 20 minutes between subs, gave me a death stare when I asked for publix Turkey and ended up out of half the things I wanted on my sub. Had to stop in for some condiments and bread so I knew what I needed and didn't really look too much but it's just like any other Publix. I'm give them one less star cause the prices are always insane but I do enjoy the fact that this location had self checkout! There should be two checkout lanes when store is about to close. I was late to work due to this fact and the manager did not seem to care. I entered the store at 9 o'clock and at 9:50, I planned to check out and make it to work on time. Unfortunately, two cashiers were closing the self check out and only one cashier to check out the four people waiting in line. I was livid. Two people ahead of me had a lot of groceries. The manager needs to step up at closing. Seems he likes to stand around with the keys at the exit and nothing else matters. Just wanted to let everyone know that it is starting to get crazy out there as people are starting to prepare for Hurricane Dorian. I stopped in on this Wednesday afternoon to get a few things as I was on my way home. There are some items that this Publix is running low on, but the Publix employees here are doing a great job in trying to keep items stocked as well as keeping the lines moving at the checkout. A young man was stocking the shelves with cases of bottled water shortly after I had taken these photos, and there are plenty of canned goods and bread. As well as many other products. I am usually at this Publix at least once a week. It may be an older store and may not be updated as newer Publix stores in the area. But I can usually find what I am looking for here. And I also get my prescriptions here at the pharmacy. A shout out to the employees at the pharmacy! They always do a great job and are always friendly. As well as the other employees, especially on a bad day. So be patient as many people will be stocking up on hurricane supplies. And the lines will be long. And be safe. read more

Don't bother with the deli. You' will wait forever and the service is terrible. The crew is more interested in playing on their cell phones and talking and doing an actual good job. It's a shame who is much money as a charge they should be doing a better job. read more

I would say what differentiates this Publix comparing to others I've been to in Central FL is that it has more hispanic products than others, and that's why I keep coming back. It's the only one I've seen that carries pan sobao regularly, and has a full case of potato balls. Service is always good, and they keep it clean and tidy. It's smaller than the one down the road on Orange, but it has charm. read more

They let people walk around the store with no mask like it's not a pandemic talking loudly on the phone and getting their Covid droplets every where . I did not see just one customer with no mask but three. Walk right past managers and they said nothing. Just know even though the vaccine is out this does not mean the vaccinated can't infect people who are not vaccinated which is the majority of us at this time. Do better Publix. read more

Publix is King. For cleanliness, for customer service and for quality of products carried. If you want top notch cold cut meats, Boar's Head is tough to beat. If you are looking for a deal then pay close attention to their BOGO's. Everything else "buyer beware." I only come here when I'm dog sitting for a couple who lives off Lake Margaret Dr. Every time I come in with the intention of buying silk almond coffee creamer, they're completely wiped out and it's not like I am here often. It's usually months at a time and it's always out of stock which had me a little frazzled. I also bought their pineapple that was on sale and it was terrible. It had a very bland flavor and very hard and dry texture. Their staff is generally friendly but it's also hit or miss. Parking is kind of messy but that's any shopping plaza. I haven't seen my Alyssa's vegan cookies either. :( read more

I love Publix! Always clean, great deals, awesome deli, rotisserie chicken, friendly staff - I can't say anything bad about this Publix. I live in the area, and have a Winn-Dixie much closer to my house, but I prefer to go to Publix and will go out of my way to do so. If you've never had a Publix Sub do yourself a favor and get one immediately. They are some of the best subs you'll ever have. My favorite is the "Ultimate" made from Boars Head meat, but they have all types including chicken tender sandwiches, Philly Cheesesteaks, wraps, etc. They also make great side dishes like potato salad, buffalo chicken dip, salsa, etc. The seafood selection is pretty good, and their Sushi is actually very good (although I only buy this around lunch time when I know it is very fresh). Publix is definitely my favorite place to go for groceries. read more

This is the store I normally go to. Today I was a little unsettled because when my groceries were being bagged, the gentleman doing the bagging who was having a little difficulty separating the plastic bags licked his fingers to open the bags. I'm thinking, really? With everything that's going on right now can't you see why this would be a concern??? I'm not trying to freak out over this whole Covid 19, and stock eight years worth of supplies in my house, but I really would not like someone licking their fingers and touching every bag my groceries are going into. I spoke to a lady at the counter but I'm not real convinced that she was concerned, I could be wrong though. That said there's nothing sitting there like a sponge or something for them to wipe their fingers either so Publix you need to nip that in the bud! read more

Like all publix's this one is great. However, for produce I try to buy local and organic and Publix just doesn't have enough options for me. Try Homegrown Co-Op for fresh organic local veggies. But overall I love publix as my go to grocery store. Definitely check out their weekly special you can really save when they have buy one get one free and a coupon! read more

I read some of the other reviews, and wanted to add my 2 cents. This is my neighborhood Publix. I'm here at least twice a week, and the employees are always kind, helpful, and pleasant. It's a smaller location than some others. So, an afternoon/evening visit may mean they're out of certain things. If you know that going in, you just deal. Shopping IS a pleasure at this Publix (except on the day before Thanksgiving or a hurricane ). Publix front store was good but pharmacy was not...very bad service. Both managers there were very friendly and nice but staff there were rude...not friendly at all (bad attitude, was eating food and talking to me at the same time...rolled her eyes, interrupted me when i was speaking...I asked "why are you so rude?" and she said she didn't understand my English while I understood her English perfectly. If you are not happy with your job, please do us a favor and quit...you are in the wrong business. read more

this is my wifes favorite store, at least it was, we have notice over the last few months that items that they used to carry have been removed and replaced by their store brand or items are not on the shelves at all and about 25 percent of the time when you ask if they have any more in the back they actually do, usually i hear the delivery was due anytime or its on a pallet that wrapped in cellophane, ive heard that a couple of time when i ask about the publix ice cream that the chocolate and vanilla are out of often, i also recently went there for one of my favorites (Paul Newman Pizza's) and was told by the produce manager that it wasn't a good "Mover" so they got rid of it, i guess it doesn't matter that in the reviews i read about it that its one of the best tasting, i also always thought it was kind of neat that a percentage of all Paul Newman products are donated to charity, i was told other bigger stores may still carry it, you know what i did notice in the pizza section? a boat load of every kind of Publix Pizza that now takes up a quarter of that section, it kind of stinks that my wifes favorite store, the one we have been going to for the last 20 years or so is telling us to go somewhere else because they would rather push the store brand thats no cheaper then the brand they eliminated thats better, the Produce manager did say he would look into it (weeks ago). read more

Like Set Controls for the Heart of the Sun, this Publix is one of the ways that we show our age. That is to say, I kind of think that Publix is outdated. It amazes me that it's still in business. Is it the "I don't mind paying a little more" niche? Because honestly, I can't see any increase in quality. That's not to say I'm a quality snob. Honestly I barely give a shit. But then again, Trader Joe's can sell me a $4 bag of nuts for just that reason. Publix can't, because its products seem, to my consumer's eye, identical to what's at Winn Dixie or even Waw-Mor (this is how we pronounce Walmart). Also, the sterile white interior remind me of something from a dystopian future. Dystopian future, draconian past... I just don't see Publix existing in this time and place. Begone! Now for the good -- I go there occasionally, typically when I have one of those $10 off coupons. The coupons take my food bill down to a reasonable level. You ever moved to a new area and have to learn a new Publix? Yeah that is where I am at with this one. The problem is it's really laid out differently than most Publix I've been too. Flower section is small. I don't always see Uncle Matt's produce there. Publix Pizza dough balls was stocked in an unusual place away from the bakery/ deli area and the meat section also feels a bit discombobulated. I guess I'm just going to have to get used to it. My Publix sub was pretty awesome however on my lunch break on a Saturday I don't want to take 23 minutes to get a sub. There were three employees making subs, all moving like a snail, one complaining about goes she's been there since 4 am and has to come back at 3 am, the other two moving ... like ... a ... snail! Looovveee this publix, I am very aware of great customer service, and that is exactly what you will be receiving once you visit this publix location! I live on Conway Rd. so this publix is super convenient to my location and I sometimes make a trip to this store multiple times a day. The workers, cashiers, and management are very friendly and accommodating. The store is always up kept well, and I can locate the things I need pretty easily. I also want to extend a sincere thank you to all the workers and management who worked leading up to hurricane Irma. The store stayed open everyday before the hurricane hit, and the customer service remained the same, courteous and friendly!!! read more

I love Publix but this one needs to get its act together. I'm writing this while in line at the deli counter which gives me plenty of time to post since it's always understaffed and slow! The asiles are a little cramped and it's slightly dirtier than the other stores I've visited. Product selection is decent and the checkout staff are great. Shopping is definitely not a pleasure at this Publix. The employees are not very friendly. Why is the answer always no even when you find out later that the answer is actually yes, with options. Perhaps they say no just to get you to leave them alone. I purchased a tray of maple danishes today that did not have much icing on them so I approached the two deli workers that were standing around chatting and asked if they had any icing they could add. I was immediately told no. They arrive that way. They're not allowed to add icing to them. Then, that they don't have any icing. Then, I was told they have vanilla, which was fine with me, only to be told that they also have maple. Now, they offered it to me on the side or on top of the pastry that they had moments ago told me they weren't allowed put it on. What is the problem?! Why is no the best answer when the true answer is yes with multiple options? After this frustrating experience, I get to the cashier who doesn't look up or greet me. He simply starts ringing up my items & slams them on the counter extra hard. Then, the bagger throws my hot chicken in with the raw steaks and bananas. What in the world?! I've never had this kind of experience at any any Publix! Shopping is usually always a pleasure! Avoid this location. There's always another one if you miles down the road. read more

This is my least favorite of 3 local Publixes. The store is not as clean as neighborhood counterparts, the deli/sub counter is ALWAYS slow and understaffed, and the products are often out of stock. It is close, and it is still Publix, which is amazing, but I try to visit the other ones in my neighborhood when more convenient. read more
