just moved to the neighborhood, and while this isn't the Publix I usually go to, it will definitely be my go to now since it's so close. Overall, the store is clean, well-stocked, and the staff is friendly. However, I was really disappointed in the bakery. I had pre-ordered a cake for a birthday and specifically told them to have it ready by Saturday at 11 AM. When I arrived for pickup, they hadn't even started on it. They literally made the cake on the spot in front of us, which took about 40 minutes. It was frustrating, especially since this was for a special occasion and I expected it to be ready as promised. I still love Publix, but I hope this location improves on following through with bakery preorders because that part of the experience was a letdown. read more

The men's bathroom door to the stalls doesn't lock every time I come here the lock is not fixed. I remember a guy walked in on me while I was sitting on the toilet. Also the soap dispenser in the men's bathroom does not work. How are the employees washing hands if the soap dispenser doesn't work. Publix should fix this problem fast! read more

This publix is small and claustrophobic. There is no space near the checkout, causing the lines to go into the aisles . The cashiers are so slow and have no sense of urgency. When they open another lane, as a courtesy they never take the next person, they let everyone run all the way from the back of the line. You would think publix would train better service. read more

I initially found it a bit difficult to review a grocery store. After all, isn't a grocery store just a grocery store, with shelves upon shelves of everything you may need, from food and wine to accessories? Of course I can always write about the price, but is price really the determining factor? For some it may be, for me I am not sure if that is true. Sure, if I were looking for a specific item, I may go to a store that provides a best deal for that item, but for day to day shopping, I don't think that applies. The fact of the matter is that Publix is not always the cheapest option out there. There are several smaller grocery stores that may offer cheaper prices, but I think I have gone to them all and somehow I always find my way back to this Publix. Maybe because it is convenient as it is close to my house, but I have come to realize it is more than that. First and foremost, this store is clean, cleaner than some of the pharmacies that I go to. The people who work there are friendly and try to be helpful. I also like the selections. Maybe after 40 years of shopping in Publix, I have become used to their selections, and even the Publix brand. Checking out is also easy too. I hate places that you spend 10 minutes shopping and half an hour in line to check out. And this location doesn't get super crowded, at least not the times I go there. Or maybe they always have enough help ready so that the lines don't back up. All and all, this is my go to place for my daily shopping, or if I need something quick. read more

{Usual bad service + now selling USED ITEMS with encrusted FOOD CRUMBS} Saw a charger that was okay priced on the clearance tables. Saw something that looked like food stuck on it and realized it tooled like it had been dragged on the side of a road for 5 miles so i figured I'd ask for a discount since it was already kind of overpriced. ONLY reason I'm writing it is because the attitude of the young kid in charge when he said no was ingenious and kinda made me feel dumb in front of his colleagues. Same reason i never ask for help looking for anything at this store, these kids usually just stand around having strange smug looks/attitudes and treat you stupid while not knowing where basic items are or how to properly speak to a customer. Should be a 2 star store, not even the 3 star it is now. Someone needs to revamp management and train in hospitality here! read more

It pains me to give this review but what I saw in the seafood department was subpar. I came in to get some Tilapia because my son has been asking for fish for the past two days. The fish that was in the display and wrapped up did not look fresh. It looked as if it was fish that was sitting in the refrigerator for some days and they put another sheet of saran wrap over the previous layer. None of the fish on the top in the fresh display looked good either. I literally walked in and walked out. I'd hope that today was just a bad day and not the norm because I love Publix in general! Terrible customer service. The manager working today was very rude. I grabbed a bag of wipes and it didn't have a scanner. The manager said of this is from a pack because it has no bar code and I said okay I grabbed it from the single pack area. I would take it from a pre packed area. This has been my personal Publix for the past 5 years now. I have grown to really like the location and where things are placed. I have been to many super store Publix's in the Miami area, but this one just feeling like home to me. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences here at this location. Deli is always attentive and fast to make your sub, as well as cut you up some quick last minute cold cuts. The bakery is very kid friendly as they remember my son every time we come in for a chocolate chip cookie and ham croquettes. If in the west Kendall area (88th street & 107 Ave) Stop in and grab something quick. Let's face it we all need something from Publix. read more

This is my standard -go to- lunch place. All my co-workers usually pile in one car and drive over. There is a little something for everyone. Pre made sandwiches, salads, sushi, soup are just some of the quick healthy-ish standards. Microwave lunches work for some of my co-workers. I love this publix. It's been my go to publix for the past five years. Anytime I need something I always head here. There is another publix that is just as close but I don't like it nearly as much as I like this one. I like how they have everything organized. This publix is always clean and always has everything I need. They are rarely sold out in anything. I have also placed many orders to the bakery and they have never messed up any of my orders. I have two complaints about this publix. I feel like it's understaffed. The bakery often times has only one person manning it and there are at least 4-5 people asking questions or requesting things from the bakery. Even on weekends where you would think there would be more staff there is still only one person. If there are more people they are busy baking or cleaning in the back. I just feel it's unfair to the staff. This goes for the cashiers as well. I feel like something's only two or three lanes are open and it's busy. Obviously this is not every time I go but it happens enough that I've noticed. I love publix supermarket. Some people trash publix but it's my go to and I love going! read more

Their meat is very very fresh and you can always count on quality sausage as well. If I could give 0 stars I would. I come to this Publix every once in a while because it's close to school and what not. I've had several unpleasant encounters with the employees at this store. At first I forgave because the employees are humans too and sometimes shoppers forget that. I went in for a sub with my significant other and the woman who attended us was clearly the manager of the department because she had a white shirt on. She made our sandwiches very sloppy which we pointed our once she started to wrap and a whole tomato slice fell out. She then went ahead and told us in a sarcastic manner "oh that's fine you can still eat it like that." As if she was mocking us. We let it slide, made no complaints. Just took our business to another Publix location. The second time I was annoyed that a similar situation happened again when I was practically insulted by the same manager lady. And now this third time, I feel as though it's obnoxious and rude customer service. I offered to bag my own items (I don't mind doing so) specifically because I wanted paper. The cashier gave me a dirty look. I don't know why but she did. In my order I purchased cilantro and as I was bagging my own items she then shoved the cilantro to me and a leaf fell off. I didn't think much of it until she handed me the little lonely leaf with 2 fingers as if it was gross or contaminated or something, for me to do god knows what. She should've thrown it out it's A LEAF out of a whole a*s bunch of cilantro.... I don't know what she wanted me to do with a leaf. But I felt offended that she handed me a leaf in such a rude manner as if I was dirtying her space when she has a trash can right next to her -- here's your left over garbage, have a nice day. read more

I order online and sometimes pay online for publix subs for my lunch as i only have 30 minutes. It is never kept in the pickup area oven and is never kept warm as I order them to toast. It takes more time for me to signal a employee to look for my sandwich instead of me picking up from the "pick up area". And i did self check out and was stopped by a older employee with blonde frizzy hair and said she didn't see me get a receipt... i showed her that i payed for my sub and she said "oh okay" she did not apologize for her mistake and i was late to work. Remodeling of plaza there in makes it a challenge just Togo inside. But I love there hot deli selections mostly the chicken wings and ribs. It's clean inside and a big selection. I find the restrooms are clean at everyone . I feel bad constructions not there fault but if your a senior citizen it won't be easy going in with the convoy of dump trucks. read more

I've put off he review for this publix for a while hoping the quality of customer service would change, unfortunately it has not. The employees here, with a few exceptions, are very unfriendly. Including, what I think is some type of manager (female white hair). Deli is slow. Seafood staff is short and unwelcoming. Bakery refuses to make cakes in their book with different colors ( something all other publixes I've been to have done). And produce wanted to charge me extra to cut a pineapple. How could there be such a big difference between the different locations. Publix on 117 in town and country is much better. A little out of the way for me but will be a happier experience. read more

First, let me say that I have not been in a Publix that is worse than Winn Dixie. This Publix seems to be quite chaotic no matter when you go. This store has been here for over twenty years and was great when first open. Now crowded all the time and not as well maintained. The deli, the worst department in this publix. It's ran by a ton of children. I've never had a good experience with the ppl that make the subs. The one thing that irks me is the lack of common courtesy. You're not at home making a sandwich for your little brother. You're in public representing a company.These ppl look like they're suffering while they make your sub. If you're not happy,quit. No one wants to deal with the attitude and the faces. My sandwich contains 4 ingredients at most and it always looks like crap. Save yourself, don't make your sub here. Overall everything else is fine. read more

I usually don't write reviews but this time I have had it with this Publix!!! It's by far the worst Publix there is. The deli forget it you will be there forever!!!! One or two people working behind the counter trying to take care of 15 people waiting to get there cheese,turkey,ham,etc and then another person just to make sandwiches so you can only imagine the line just to get a sandwich. Plus the way the employees work I have seen paint dry faster.An then there's the soda machine if you can call it that because most of the time instead of getting coke you get flat soda or water. They once didn't have ice for almost two weeks! I mean come on!!! Where the standards for your customers. That's just the deli and now let me go to the bakery if you don't get there early to get your coffee you will be there behind 6 or more people waiting just to get your coffee. The person who works behind the bakery acts like it's a prison sentence. This morning I waited 20 mins for a toast a toast!!! Because the machine wasn't warming up faster enough. Here's a idea before the store opens leave it warming already so the people that order a toast can order it and then leave quickly. If I could give this place a zero star I would. For those people reading this review stay for away from this place as possible. An I hope someone from Publix is reading this. My advice get your $hit together. read more
