If you're thinking about taking a class here - DO IT!! I just can't say enough good things about my…read moreexperience here - From the break room to the staff and teachers - top notch! Drastically improved my skills - worth every penny! Last month I took the Adobe Premiere Pro Bootcamp with Kristian Gabriel - AMAZING CLASS! Highly recommend if you're doing any work in Premiere Pro - and Kristian even touches a little on Photoshop, After Effects & Illustrator too. The bootcamp definitely kicked my video editing skills up several notches! I wish I had taken the class much sooner haha! That being said, I'm glad I had already worked with Premiere Pro bc the bootcamp made a lot more sense. The software can be complicated, especially if you're just starting out, and the bootcamp moves fast...so it can be hard to keep up. BUT Training Connection gives you one free repeat!! You can come back and take the same class again once more - how awesome is that?? Kristian is an absolutely FANTASTIC teacher!! He's professional, passionate, extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind and caring - his expertise is impressive! He knows Adobe inside and out. I would happily take any of his classes again and definitely plan to take the After Effects and Illustrator classes in the future. The building is great also - the suite is sleek and always clean. They have high tech equipment in the classrooms - all their computers are fast Apples. Even the break room has a very fancy coffee machine offering all sorts of lattes and such. And all the rooms have lovely views of DTLA. Very nice facility. The prices for their classes are extremely reasonable considering the value of the lectures and the fact that they let you do one free retake. There are tons of eateries and cafes and food courts nearby so lunch is fun everyday! You can park in their underground lot but it's expensive at $35 a day. However, there's lots of security and it felt very safe, clean and convenient. I took the metro gold line the first two days and actually got urinated on by a vagrant the second morning - so I didn't hesitate to pay for parking after that lol. There's a cheaper lot around the corner but no security so be aware.

Knowledgeable, supportive, and invested in her students success. The program is fast paced, but it covers a wide range of skills, including vital signs, EKGs, venipuncture, injections, patient care, and safety procedures. One of the biggest advantages is that the school is tuition-free, although students are responsible for purchasing their own materials. The school does offer financial assistance through other programs such as Work Source & Para Los Niños so if you're struggling financially do not be discouraged to apply! The medical assistant program also includes clinical hours, which provide valuable hands on experience in a real world setting. I'm very grateful I had the opportunity to be part of this program, as it has been an important step in my journey toward becoming a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).

The class provides a very hands on approach as well as lots of critical thinking to better prepare you for the real world and for the NHA exam (certification exam). This program is extremely accessible due to it being tuition free, in the heart of LA, and the completion is only 6 months. I highly recommend to anyone who is trying to improve their life or step into the medical field :)

They gave me the wrong start day so I ended up being a week late and after the course my credits weren't even recorded or given. Spoke to administration and they told me they didn't have records of me but yet I was able to log into portal to do my assignments with my name clearly !, I was in their system!! So where did my work go?! Point being, this is a horrible school with incompetent administrators ‍ sorry not sorry.

They have job training courses in computers (Typing, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, IC3 certification), CNA, construction, auto mechanics, electrician, Medical Billing and Coding, Administrative and Medical Office Assistant. Security Guard Card, Child Care Development, Accounting, Tax preparation, and stuff like that. Most of the courses are only like $90 'cause it's a public school and a part of LAUSD. You get a certificate after each class or course and they're accredited. They also have free ESL and High School completion or GED and HiSet classes. The only bad part is parking is kinda hard if you come during busy times, but you can't have everything! It's near the corner of Washington and Crenshaw so at least there's lots of buses! They have classes in the morning, afternoon and evenings. Because of Covid, the physical school is closed for now, but the good news is they made all classes FREE this summer, they're just online and you need a computer. I completed the IV Therapy & Blood Withdrawal Certification course at Los Angeles Career College,…read moreand I have to say--this place runs smoother than most hospital floors I've worked on. The staff was organized, check-in was easy, and the hybrid format made the whole process painless (unlike some IV attempts I've witnessed in real life). What really impressed me was how efficient everything was. Once I passed my exam, they handed me my certificate the same day--no waiting, no chasing emails, no mysterious "processing time." Just boom. Certified. I wish everything in healthcare worked that fast. Now for the real highlight: Instructor Steele Erickson. Steele is the kind of nursing instructor you secretly hope for but never expect to get. He breaks down IV therapy and blood withdrawal with such clarity and patience that even tricky techniques suddenly feel manageable. He teaches with a calm, supportive energy that makes everyone relax. He's incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely invested in every student, and somehow keeps the class both educational and entertaining. As someone with 25+ years in healthcare, I can confidently say instructors like Steele do not grow on trees. If you're considering getting your IV Certification, go to Los Angeles Career College and hope you get Steele Erickson as your instructor. You'll walk away confident, competent, and wondering why every nursing class can't be this smooth. Highly recommended!

Life got in the way a couple of times during this portion of the class and I was able to talk to Mika and figure out a plan so that I wouldn't have to miss class. I also loved listening to her real life stories of working in nursing. The course I took was 5 weeks, 8 hours a day. The first two weeks were online. There is a lot of reading, a lot of quizzes, and several tests, but you get the hang of it quickly. The second week was practical where you learned the skills. I got pretty frustrated when I didn't get the skill right the first time, but the fact is that there are a lot of steps to the skills and these are brand new things that I'm learning. It all falls into place when you go into the clinical. You get to apply what you learned in class and in your practical learning. I especially loved my clinical rotations at the hospital. It gave me such a bigger perspective on the healthcare industry and patient care. I learned so much and discovered that I really liked working in ER. I look forward to applying everything I learned in my future career.
