One vet said my dog's blood pressure ($50 per reading) was high and needed to be checked frequently while another vet said it was high normal but the dog was anxious which explained the elevation. Another vet tried to give me nausea medicine ($64) when I told her the medicine had not worked for him in the past. Another vet wanted to treat my dog for worms without waiting for the stool test results -which were normal. Another vet wanted to take frequent blood tests ($300) for a condition I was not going to treat. Be aware that there is a pharmacy charge if you choose to get a medicine for your pet and decide after your visit. I have since found a more reasonably priced veterinarian who makes suggestions but listens to how I choose to care for my pet. The vets here are competent but they pushed a lot of unnecessary tests/medicines. Be aware.

According to what he told me, my Dog had serious, serious problems. Took him to my old vet in Chicago who is GREAT and he said there is absolutely nothing wrong with my healthy Dog. That was ten years ago and he's still kicking just fine. This was for a routine checkup which wound up costing me $400+.

I pick her up and the first thing I saw was her butchered tail and no mustache. I asked him and he told me all I said was ears. That's impossible, this is how I've always had her groomed, I say it EVERYTIME. I even repeated it multiple times, but he never acknowledged what I said, just went on about his business. I get frustrated and tell him that that's not true, I paid him, I even tipped him (even though I shouldn't have!!), and I left. I get her in the car and noticed there is still dirt on her face and stuff stuck in the hair around her eyes. NEVER AGAIN. Ever.

Being the daughter of a Marine, I felt obligated to give him a chance. I was not disappointed! My golden retriever is a little reactive to things she doesn't like. He sat on the floor getting to know my dog for a long while before I left her there. He has such an awesome demeanor! I felt very confident leaving my baby. Reasonably priced, though this definitely isn't a low cost clinic. However, you get what you pay for here. New and clean facility, educated and friendly staff, walk-in welcome, wide range of preventatives. I love this place so much that I take my family's pets here, who live two hours away. They are associated with so many other animal hospitals that they have the power to ban you when you don't agree with services or the way that they handled situation. My experience was not pleasant. My dog was in the middle of dying. They encouraged an adrenaline shot which put her in shock and made her pass in minutes.
