I'm really mad. The only reason they get a star is because I have to leave one. I asked for a full grooming of my dog, to include bathing, etc. I was also VERY specific on how to groom her, which, honestly, is 3 things; do not cut her ears, tail and leave her mustache. I pick her up and the first thing I saw was her butchered tail and no mustache. I asked him and he told me all I said was ears. That's impossible, this is how I've always had her groomed, I say it EVERYTIME. I even repeated it multiple times, but he never acknowledged what I said, just went on about his business. I get frustrated and tell him that that's not true, I paid him, I even tipped him (even though I shouldn't have!!), and I left. I get her in the car and noticed there is still dirt on her face and stuff stuck in the hair around her eyes. NEVER AGAIN. Ever. read more

We recently moved to City and I posted on the community Facebook looking for groomer recommendations. The overwhelming majority suggested giving Semper Fi a shot. Being the daughter of a Marine, I felt obligated to give him a chance. I was not disappointed! My golden retriever is a little reactive to things she doesn't like. He sat on the floor getting to know my dog for a long while before I left her there. He has such an awesome demeanor! I felt very confident leaving my baby. Great grooming! Very knowledgeable and kind to my two dogs! The owner is polite, and really does a great job. I have been here twice and both times my two dogs-one very large and one very tiny-had a great grooming experience. The owner called when the dogs were done-nails were clipped, coats were cleaned and both looking pretty. I would highly recommend this grooming salon. I've had two great experiences with the nice guy that owns this shop. Once I brought in a big, old, American bulldog I was fostering for a nail trim and another time I brought in our very shaggy hunting dog. I gave him very specific instructions on what we wanted her to look like and he certainly did an excellent job. For $50 he did the whole 9-yards (wash, trim, nails, ears, and teeth) on an 80-lb dog. Plus, he's a local guy (instead of the corporations) which is nice. Highly recommend! read more

I went in to get my dog groomed and the groomer walks out in a sleeveless shirt that looked raggdy and a big dip in his mouth, should have been my sign to turn right around and walk out. But I wanted to support locally owned especially veteran owned. I brought in my golden doodle to get groomed, and when the groomer brought my dog out I didn't even recgonize him. He completely shaved my goldendoodle. Like buzzed his hair all off, almost like you would a poodle. I put my faith into the groomer to give a my dog a complimentary hair cut and he did the exact opposite!! I would not recommend taking your animals here. read more

I didn't have to wait weeks for an appointment. They work on a walk in basis. That worked great for me. They shampooed and groomed my dog perfectly. He looked great. And the price was great too. We have a regular pet groomer we normally take our Lucy to but we seen this Semper Fi Pet salon and wanted to give our business to a veteran .. We respect our veterans and want to try to help them anyway we can. with this being said.... I took my 5 pound miniature yorkie there. I asked them to trim her body and give her head a yorkie look. He asked me if she was aggressive I said no not at all. He told me that if she does turn out to be aggressive that he would give me a call to see if he should proceed. I told him yes that is fine. Well I never received a call and I called him a couple of times to see how things were going and nothing was said about her being aggressive. then when I picked her up I could tell there was something wrong with her for she was not my Lucy. They SHAVED her body all the way up to the back of her ears. And they trimmed her face all un even. He tells me that she was very aggressive and that he had to hold her down for his other groomer to finish her. I told him wow that isnt like her she is very good over at her regular place she goes to and that they do a great job on her with out any fussiness from her. I got her home and she went and ran under the couch which is definitely NOT Lucy. After a little bit I got her out from under my couch and she had red marks on her tummy and she was shaking like a leaf. I sat her down and she was limping BIG TIME. She wouldnt put any weight on her foot at all. I looked closer to it and it was bleeding with a bunch of that powder they put on when they cut too deep and it had some of it mixed with dried blood. Today I took her to our vet and he said that he was going to have to remove her nail completely for it was all the way down to the base where it is making it sore. The the technician told me that who ever did this didnt do the other nails at all. So all together it cost me $25 for the groomer and $60 for the vet call. And my precious little Lucy still cannot walk on her leg she is still holding it up and she is still going under the couch. and she is still shaking like a leaf when I get her out... Lucy was so vibrant and happy and running around here with her little tail just a wagging. Not now... I hope she gets over this trauma and I hope her little foot pain goes away soon. Well My husband said lets wait a week to make sure we dont have to take her back in to the vet. She is still not the same. The red marks went away and the nail seems to have gotten better. But she is still not sure of herself it seems. For she isnt jumping all over like before. This is ridiculous. I am so mad and I am not the type of person to complain. But This is down right terrible. Ill be taking her back to her regular groomer where I know they will treat her awesome and wont hurt her... SMH We went in to try to get the owner to rectify his mishaps and give us a refund and also pay for the vet bill and he refused and he got very irate and told us to leave. Too many other complaints i am seeing from facebook about this groomer once I posted our issues with them others started in with their issues with them. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE CHANCE OF LETTING YOUR PET BE MISTREATED. read more

Semper Fi is great and my dogs looked terrific. Doodle and Terrier each received baths, grooming and nails and the big dog had recently battled with an fierce burr patch in our neighborhood resulting in a very unflattering emergency haircut by yours truly. David was able to turn him from a disaster into a dream boat and the price was right. I am so happy to have found Semper Fi! read more
