This is a review of this business, not necessarily of the store or employees. Here's my experience in a nutshell: Bought a device around 72 hours ago. It worked for about half that time, then completely stopped functioning properly. Darn. Took it back to the store, receipt in hand, and explained that I purchased some defective merchandise, and would like to resolve it. The answer? Not possible. I would have to send it to the manufacturer and deal with them. At my expense, and on my time. (We DO all know where these are made, right?) So, not wanting to pay shipping to, and wait a month + for a round trip package to China, (which would certainly exceed the cost in time and money of replacing a $40 device) I asked what my options were. The answer? I do not have any. First, I was told it was because I paid with a credit card. (What?) Then, it was because the health department wouldn't allow them to take my return. THEN, it was simply because it is "their policy". To make sure I had it straight, I repeated the scenario "Ok, I buy something from your store, find out it is broken, and the resolution according to your policy, is that it is too bad, but it's my problem"? The employee shrugged their shoulders and answered "Pretty much". Said employee then literally told me "We're just a middleman". Yikes. The gentleman who was in line behind me, at this point hearing how about how this business(doesn't)stand behind their product, announced that he would take his business elsewhere and left. I was not trying to make a scene and absolutely not trying to cost the store any further business, but it was vindicating that a neutral observer was also able to see just how non customer- centered the business model is. Having said all that, I have dealt with this employee before. I have always found them friendly and pleasant, ( if a bit lacking in product knowledge) and they kept their cool and stayed civilized as I unhappily debated the situation with them. No hard feelings, nice person. Since I DID pay with a credit card, I WILL get my money back, and they will get a chargeback and pay for for the defective device, it will just take a bit longer. I spent enough time in retail to know that sometimes there is an instinct to try to save your employer from any potential loss. I get it. But selling broken merchandise, (obviously inadvertently), and then not being willing to work with the buyer at ALL, in the name of customer service... Well, we all know that is a short term business model. Any vape device/coils can usually be purchased for about 20% less online, and basically all of the most successful outfits offer free RETURNS. The appeal of walking into a brick-and-mortar store is immediacy, and personal service. Well in my case, it turns out that I was told *immediately* that I will *not* be getting any *service*. So in the future, when i need a device, i will cut out the self proclaimed "Middleman" and order online. I suggest you do the same. Again, these are nice people. Sure, stop in and grab a cigar or some tobacco. Support the local business. But far as anything with a circuit in it, shop online, because if this place SELLS YOU a dud, you have NO recourse, and they seem to like it just fine that way. I'll say it one more time. The people who work here are nice. The store is clean and well laid out. I've definitely spent a few hundred here in the past year. But I can't anymore. Being the place that sells broken products, and then refuses to even consider doing anything about it, in the middle of a time where everyone is losing jobs and money? Well, come on guys.
