It also has a business centre and excellent restaurant called Vintaged. It is literally connected to the main shopping districts in the area. There is a walkway and elevator to Winterland mall and Queens Street mall an outdoor shopping mall that goes in for blocks. The food and drink options in the area are endless. You can't go wrong with a stay here. The location is prime, the staff was not only helpful but genuinely friendly and everything is at your fingertips.

It's about a 10-minute walk from Central Station and right in the heart of Queen Street Mall, making it easy to explore the city, shop, and find plenty of places to eat. The staff were very welcoming during check-in, which made for a great first impression. My room was spotless and comfortable. In addition to the usual shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion, the hotel also provided thoughtful extras like a bathrobe, Q-Tips, a shower cap, and a toothbrush with toothpaste. The bed was very comfortable, and I had some of the best sleep I've had while traveling. The shower also had excellent water pressure, which was a nice bonus after a long day. The only reason I'm deducting one star is because my "Do Not Disturb" sign wasn't fully respected. I was interrupted because the sign had apparently been on my door for 48 hours, and the staff explained they were conducting a wellness check. While I completely understand and appreciate the importance of guest safety, I had ordered room service earlier that same day, and staff had seen that I was fine. Because of that interaction, I feel the 48-hour period should have reset before another wellness check was necessary. Overall, this was a wonderful stay. The excellent location, comfortable room, thoughtful amenities, and friendly staff made for a great experience, and I would happily stay here again.

The service is excellent. The room was very clean. The fitness center is 24/7 and requires key card for entry. There are showers on level 4. The outdoor pool is also on level 4. It's so pretty! Hibiscus is the bar on level 4, and they offer happy hour 4-6PM daily. You can get $14 cocktails. Lennon is the restaurant on floor 2. There are two entrances for Hyatt Regency Brisbane. From Queen Street, you can take either elevator or lift up one floor and walk over to the reception. From Burnett Street, which is where cars can drop you off, there is a concierge but also there is a lift to take you up one level directly in front of the front desk. Then there are two guestroom elevators. You take either depending on what floor is your room. I had a one king bedroom room. It was spacious, but it only had one tiny desk. The chair for it was too high for my preference. I rather preferred the tables on level 4. The air conditioning and wifi worked great. There was a mini fridge, but it was full of drinks that I didn't need. You have to pay for it if they find any missing. Parking: I had a vehicle, so I parked overnight at the Uptown Mall Car Park. Monday through Friday is $35 per exit, and weekends are $20 per exit. I took out the car twice in one day, for example, so I had to pay $70. The mall is closed early, so if you park late, you have to find your way out of the mall that is not Queen Street. Location: terrific location on Queen Street. Close to a lot of food, shops, and Coles!

The woman I approached told me that Marriott's exchange rate for US dollars is very very high and that I should walk 400 meters to the mall down the street to exchange money. She was dismissive and rude and became visibly irritated when I asked her for the address and name of the currency exchange. I told her I didn't care about the high rates of exchange so she disappeared for a few minutes and came back to tell me she's in the middle of a shift change and that it'll be HOURS before anyone can help me. Really?? Get some training to your staff on professionalism and not lying to your customers.

From the moment that you arrive and walk in, you are instantly greeted with inviting smiles and the most relaxing, fruity, pleasant signature Capri by Fraser scent. No, I am not kidding. Each of the Capri by Fraser properties have their own crafted scents that are filtering through the vents and into the hotel lobby air. At this property the scent is a blend of apple blossom, cider wood, ginger flower, lemon and orange... HEAVENLY! I DID NOT want to check in to my room :) The theme of this Capri by Fraser property is feeling like you are in the rainforest. The designer was spot on because that is exactly how my friend and I felt staying here. Being the interior designer that I am, I have an immense appreciation for places with eye catching design and flow. The designers of this hotel (award winning designers ) Ministry Of Design really did an exceptional job on this entire property. The attention to detail they put into this place is off the charts. This place is the definition of trendy and urban chic. MY type of style ;-) So let's continue... The moment you walk into the lobby and to your right is a living vertical garden that is so beautiful and refreshing. To the left of that is the hotel restaurant, Asana by Chef Pete Evans which has a delicious seasonal menu serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was sooo good. On the second floor is the hotel gym, rec area, sauna and pool. All very well maintained with amazing amenities. The pool is a showstopper. My friend and I stayed there and relaxed all day going from pool to sauna and back to pool again. Loved the pool being indoors. It was insanely hot and humid outside! To top it off we had the pool all to ourselves!! :) With this hotel being under a year old, the staff do a great job keeping it extremely clean 24/7. Last but most definitely NOT least.... OUR ROOM! We were up on the 10th floor and had an amazing view of the buildings surrounding us. The room was very spacious with apartment style amenities. Anytime we requested anything, hotel staff would show up within 5 minutes, we didn't have to wait very long. Room service was fast as well and only took 15 minutes to be at our door every time we ordered something. Loved how isolated the sound was in our room. We had the music on very loud at some points throughout our stay and no one called to complain. It was nice to not hear the people next to us either :-p I can't think of one thing that I didn't like about staying at this hotel. I LOVED every part of my stay and the next time I plan on being in Brisbane I will definitely be staying at this place. Almost forgot to mention the concierge here, I forgot his name, he was so attentive to any of our excursion needs as well as any dinner plans that we wanted to make. He was amazing!! We had some excursion cancellations that happened and he was able to find us some other fun things to do and booked it for us within minutes. Super friendly and helpful! I am a FAN. ;-)

It's a couple blocks from the river, right across from south bank, and a few blocks from the skytower. It worked out perfectly! We got upgraded to one bedroom suite and it was ideal for our family of five. The bed was phenomenal and the rain shower an absolute delight. The pool was a quick kid favorite and the workout facilities, right next to the pool, we're very nice for mom and dad. The executive lounge was perfect. They served a nice breakfast in the morning and had drinks/snacks in the evening. If you are traveling with kids, they don't allow anybody under 18 in the lounge after 6 PM, so that was the only piece of information we were lacking initially. Everyone we met was friendly and very hospitable, and overall the place was just perfect. Next time we find ourselves in Brisbane, this is going to be a spot that we head up again. You should too!

One of us is a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite member and was staying in the room; the other spouse (Silver) happened to be listed as the lead name on the reservation. The front desk clerk refused to provide Platinum benefits, claiming that elite benefits only apply if the Platinum member is the primary name on the reservation. He insisted it was company policy. That claim is flatly incorrect under Marriott's own published policy. Marriott Bonvoy Terms & Conditions state: "Only one Member per guest room may earn Points, Elite Night Credits, and receive Elite benefits for that room. If more than one Member is staying in the same guest room, the Members must decide at check-in which Member's Membership Number will be applied to the room. Elite benefits apply only to the one guest room in which the Elite Member stays." -- Marriott Bonvoy™ Terms & Conditions, Sections 4.1-4.2 There is no rule requiring the elite member to be the lead name on the reservation. The only requirements are that the elite member is staying in the room and that their Bonvoy number is applied to the folio. I told him it's not Marriott policy. He said "Well it's policy for THIS property." I told him "No it's not. You don't get to invent policies. You have to obey Marriott, not fantasy policies. After escalation, the Platinum number was finally added and breakfast was honored -- confirming that the original refusal was unfounded. This should never have required escalation, policy recitation, or guest intervention. Having lazy employees who don't want to do the work to put in the platinum member's Bonvoy number is unacceptable. Elite status is part of what guests pay for through loyalty and spend. Front desk staff should know and apply the program rules correctly at check-in, rather than inventing conditions that do not exist in Marriott policy. Well, maybe they will educate him.

Breakfast was pleasant each morning. It didn't change enough from day to day (which gets a little old after a week there), but there is enough variety where it's not too bad. 3. Staff was friendly and I got water replenished each day. 4. Location is convenient to Eagle Street Pier as well as Queen Street retail. Cons: 1. There was constant noise at night as they were fixing the road, even from the 28th floor. Not the hotel's fault, but it was hard to ignore. 2. The gym is very tiny. It's not awful, but it is definitely below average. 3. The room heater doesn't get that warm. The solution was to ask for a portable heater which worked ok.

My suggestion is to have a security guard on the ground floor, especially at the back entrance so this cannot ever happen again.

Royal On The Park served as hotel and reception venue for a wedding I attended and it was amazing. The lobby is resplendent in red and I felt enveloped in its charming setup the minute I breezed through its doors. I was impressed from the outset, but it also didn't hurt that we got one of the best suites covering two rooms. Oh, and did I mention we had a butler? His name was Adam and he was marvellous. Be sure to give him a shout if you go there. Not only did he pander to our every request (we girls didn't request much mind, we're not used to being waited on), he also managed to help fix an untimely flower arrangement mix-up in time for the reception. Amazing. I stayed in two types of rooms over a weekend and they were both comfortable with spectacular views of Brisbane city and the Botanical Gardens. The reception hall was excellent for the post-ceremony antics the food was excellent. Plus the waiters were always topping up my champagne glass, so they get a rave review from me. Reception staff are helpful and extremely smartly dressed. It proved to be an ideal setting for a wedding reception and seems like it would be perfect for tourists, given its central location. Easy access and a lovely set up. Royal on the Park has function rooms that can be hired out and their Walnut restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week.
