The Pumpkin Cafe Shop is part of a national chain of cafes, mainly located at principal railway stations throughout the UK.
The one I visited recently was in the Swansea High Street Railway Station, whilst waiting for a connecting train.
The cafe provides hot snacks, sandwiches/rolls, chilled & hot drinks, beer, ice cream/lollies, crisps & confectionary.
The interior of the cafe is bright, clean & modern and the staff are very friendly & helpful.
Swanseas Pumpkin Cafe Shops' main selling point is there no real waiting room at this station and commuters are left to dither about on the platform or in the reception/entrance area whilst waiting for a train.
There is a nice little cafe across the road called the Espresso Bar but if your train is to arrive sooner rather than later, staying in the station close to the arrival/departure board & announcements is a better option.
The cafe may seems a little pricey but having said that the buffet car aboard train is pricier. But the main trick here for cheap food and drink is to hold a BITE card.
The Bite card gives 20% of all food & drink purchases at any railway station at the follwoing chains i.e. Pumpkin Cafe Shop, Cafe Ritazza, Burger King, Millies Cookies, Upper Crust etc.
The BITE cards are available free of charge from the website:-

On my visit to the Swansea station Pumpkin Cafe Shop I had a regular Mocha which cost £2.25 but with the BITE card I had a discount of 45p, therfire £1.80. It was very nice and kept out the cold whilst waiting for my train to come in.
If you want a quick snack ot a cheaper alternate to the trains' buffet car, you could do a lot worse than visit a Pumpkin Shop Cafe. read more
