I hired Lauren for a second time to pet sit for 5 days, 2 scheduled visits a day, mornings 9am-11am and evenings 6pm-9pm. Even with the instructions that were on the website she uses for communication and the notes that I left around the house, Lauren didn't follow any of these things. Her services were well below poor. She came at whatever time was convenient for her meaning my pets had to wait to be fed and let outside to relieve themselves well into the late afternoon and early morning hours between 12am-130am. I left instructions on cleaning my dogs paws off before letting her come back into the house so mud was tracked on the carpet. Lauren ignored this and even made a mess herself. There was evidence that she used our bathroom and muddy shoe prints on our rug. I'm guessing because she did not adhere to the routine and schedule I had in place and paid for, my pets were very stressed and had diarrhea, not only just in the litter box but on pillows as well. If Lauren had been coming to the house regularly, she would have seen this. Had she been doing her job that she charged me for, she would have noticed the mess and my pets being stressed out and could have contacted me. My pets veterinary information is on her website and I have probiotics at home. This could have easily been cleared up but she didn't do her job properly. Halfway through the 5 days, communication was scarce. I had to contact her to figure out what was going on. She finally gave me some wacky excuses about her phone being in a repair place due to it being broken. Even if that were true (which I don't think it is) she claims that you have to put all communications in her website just in case she can't make it to a scheduled visit, that way someone else has the information. If she had people working for her, she should have someone that can relay information to her clients. Despite there being cameras all over my house with time stamps, Lauren still choose to lie to me. I caught her in several lies like the one I just described. One day my neighbor contacted me to let me know that some packages were on my porch all day (delivered early in the morning) so they brought them into their home so nobody would steal them. I asked Lauren if she had noticed any packages on my porch that morning and she said she hadn't noticed anything but would check when she came during the evening visit. Had she actually come in the morning like she was supposed to, she would have seen it. The last day she was scheduled to come by the house, she kept texting me to ask me what time I would be home. She texted me several times asking me this and I know it was because she was trying to see if she could get away with coming to my house super late again. This was the first time that entire week that she constantly communicated with me in a timely manner. When we finally did get home we noticed litter boxes were not cleaned properly, dirt/mud on the floors, carpets, and rugs. Our dog was not fed properly. Our cats were sick and stressed. My house was a mess and I never leave it like that. Nobody should have to come home from vacation and have to vacuum and do laundry. I did try to communicate with Lauren about a refund but she did not contact me back. I knew I wasn't going to hear from her so I contacted my bank and had them reverse my charges and do an investigation. About three days later, Lauren contacted me through text and said she was on vacation and didn't have any cell service (which I think is another lie, I'm sure she took a couple of days to construct an excuse). By that time, the investigation had already begun and I knew that i would never deal with her again. Moral of the story is do not hire Lauren and her company to watch your pets. They may be neglected like mine were, the risk isn't worth it!

At times, we have had to leave for weeks at a time and she always comes during her scheduled meetings to make sure my dogs are well taken care of. There was a time during Covid days where she was very short-staffed and we did have a couple of problems with visits, but they were quickly resolved once we had conversations. There has been a couple of times where one of our dogs managed to get out of his kennel and since I caught it through the cameras and texted her, she has headed to my place to solve the situation. Overall, I find Lauren very responsive and willing to follow instructions. We will continue hiring her.

They claimed people walking through there get the dogs barking. So are your employees invisible then? Because they have to walk through there. Those photos on their site could have been from anywhere! I guess they aren't washing bedding between pets either, or my dog wouldn't have fleas because she had none when I dropped her off! She wouldn't have smelled so bad either. She doesn't play with other dogs, or go to dog parks, so there is no chance from getting fleas that way. This place used to be a LOT better than it is now. And the smell when you walk in the door will knock you over. Never smelled that bad when we used them before and that was in the heat of the summer! Also, it was really hot in there this morning when it was only 65 outside so it's not even kept cool for the pets. It's supposed to be climate controlled. So, disappointed in this place! Idk if they are under new management or what because we haven't used them since 2024, but my dog will NEVER stay there again. My daughter's cat also unfortunately stayed there in a "deluxe suite". It's nothing more than a small cage she is kept in like at a shelter. There's NOTHING deluxe about it. I specifically asked them to leave her travel crate with her because my daughter put a shirt in there that smells like her to comfort the cat, when I picked her up they got the travel crate from a storage room and the shirt was still in it. This cat loves her travel crate and when the guy handed her to me in it he said, "she hates the crate". No, she loves it! She lays in it in my daughter's apartment during the day sometimes because it comforts her. Idk what they did but she was acting like she didn't want to be in it at all! She meowed the entire way home. She had been silent on the ride there to drop her off though. The cat smelled bad, too. So, we paid a fortune for them to neglect our animals, and not do what we asked, and refused to let me see where my dog was staying (suspicious), and charged me for a "deluxe suite" (crate) to keep the cat in. Complete sham! Why is it so hard to find a place that will take good care of your pets for you when you have to travel?! Lastly, I got pictures of our dog every day and she looked sad in all of them. But my daughter only got any photos of her cat the last day she stayed there. Pretty sure that was the only time they let her out of that crate! After my dog's stay, both of my dogs returned home smelling strongly of urine/ammonia. At the time, I brushed it off, but after this recent interaction, it feels more concerning and worth noting. I was recently informed that my dog could no longer be accommodated due to his need for a male wrap (diaper), which they described as requiring "medical-grade supervision." This was surprising, as changing a male wrap is a very basic and routine task that pet owners handle daily without any specialized training. Many boarding facilities are also able to accommodate this without issue. What was particularly frustrating was being provided with "hygiene guidelines" for diaper use, while at the same time being told their staff is unable to remove and replace the wrap during normal potty breaks. That is a fundamental part of maintaining proper hygiene. Avoiding that responsibility while citing hygiene concerns feels contradictory and misleading. In my experience, proper hygiene in a boarding setting comes from consistent, attentive basic care. Given the odor my dogs returned with, it raises concerns about whether those standards are being consistently met within the facility. Overall, this felt less like a true limitation and more like a lack of willingness or capability to provide standard care. I will be taking my business elsewhere to a facility better equipped to handle routine needs.

I got frustrated and pushed him out of the way - unfortunately, I have the most clumsy cat in the world and my pushed caused him to lose balance, he slipped off the counter and got his leg trapped in the oven handle, dislocating his hip on the way down. The cry he let out was the worst noise I've ever heard and I rushed him to the closest vet I knew of - Culebra Creek. I went in carrying my baby's car seat and my brother had the cat in one of those 18 gallon tubs (I had nothing else lol) I walked in absolutely hysterical, barely able to speak or breathe between my sobs. I felt so guilty. Both ladies behind the counter smiled gently and asked me what happened. All I could muster up was squeaking out "my....cat's....hip...." before one of them took the tub back to a room and the other handed me paperwork. They told me the doctor had just left for lunch, but they disappeared into the back room and came out a few minutes later saying the doctor decided to see my kitten before going to lunch. They likely heard me crying like a crazy person and apologizing over and over despite the kitten not being with me anymore. Once I calmed down and told the ladies at the front desk what happened, they both told me it's easy to feel guilty, but he's going to okay and he will forgive me quickly. The vet came out a bit later and told me they had to sedate him with some ketamine to get X-rays and nothing was broke. I kept asking what happened, but the vet would just repeatedly say "he's going to be okay". I'm sure he was trying to deescalate the situation and it worked. They asked us to come back in a few hours after my cat woke up from the procedure and was able to be monitored until he was ready to go home. When I went back to pick him up, they told me his leg was better, but he would be in paid for a few days and had extreme swelling around the hip joint so they gave me pain medicine and a steroid for him. They also were able to diagnose his eye which was goopy and looking pretty awful. The vet asked about it and I told them another vet I went to said it was noting to worry about it and gave me antibiotics for an "infection" . Culebra Creek told me it was an ear mite allergy and they provided him the first dose then told me to dose him each month. Now to the bill. I was terrified to know as they have a routine vet visit cost and an emergency vet visit. Here's everything that I expected to be charged for - Four X-rays - Ketamine sedation - Putting his hip back into place - Treatment for eye infection - Monitoring until he was conscious - Pain reliever for home - Steroids for home - 3 month supply of ear mite treatment My total bill was high, but MUCH lower than I expected - $500 for everything. I was floored as I expected to easily pay over a thousand for the emergency visit and everything else. 1000/10 recommend this vet for ALL your pet needs! They were empathetic, understanding, quick to respond, affordable, and most importantly were able to easily deescalated a hysterical post-partum mom that hurt her own cat and was devastated. I still feel guilty to this day about what happened, but I'm so glad Culebra Creek has the staff they do. (If anyone is curious, the vet never did confirm his leg was dislocated as it was visibly obvious - I'll spare you the details. I think they made the best decision by not reiterating the obvious to an emotionally unstable mom. I'm sure had I asked, they would have confirmed, but the empathetic looks I received when I said I caused the dislocation and the "accidents happen, he knows you love him and didn't mean to hurt him" was enough to confirm.)
