The owner came to my house to meet our dog and explain the service. He was kind and professional. Then, I was assigned a single person who would be my dog's walker. That person came every day, which was great that one person, not a rotating cast of characters, would be in my house and with my puppy. Each day, my walker either took the dog for a walk or played outside with her. She left a note after each visit that explained what took place during her time with our puppy. She then returned the puppy to her crate and locked the front door behind her. Never a single problem. The company does everything possible to provide excellent service and, as a result, made my life easier in so many ways. I have a work schedule that changes a lot and they were happy to change the dog walker's schedule each time I needed it (which was almost weekly.) This included adding visits or canceling them, often without a lot of notice. The company will either email you a bill or bill your credit card. They always provide an itemized bill or receipt. You can also have them come at night if you have a commitment after work and cannot get home to let the dog out. They will feed your dog, play with your dog, help you train your dog, etc. And, always, always, with politeness and professionalism. I probably sound like a paid sponsor -- but I am not! I was referred to Puppy Love by one of my neighbors, who has been using them to help with her cats for years. My experience with Puppy Love to date has been great while using the service over the past couple of years. They are super friendly and accommodating, even with last minute or modified scheduling. They also have always promptly responded to all of my emails and calls to schedule appointments. Will was very nice when he called me at my request during the first visit with my two cats when I was away on vacation, and wanted to make sure giving one of them asthma inhaler medication went well (it did). I love getting the report card each time when I get back from trips and seeing that my cats are content (and don't seem to miss me too much). I trust Puppy Love and have referred the service to others. While I miss my cats when away, I am comforted by knowing that they are in good hands and are receiving good care. Puppy Love gets 5 stars from our family. (If 10 were an option, that's what we'd give them.) They are unfailingly reliable, courteous, prompt and meticulous in tending to our dog's needs (and yes, even his whims). Their services also go beyond your pet. Are you on a trip and worry about whether you left the oven on? Just email them and they'll check it when they come by for a walk. Do you need plants watered while you're gone? Ask them! Did you lock yourself out of the house? Am embarrassed to say that I know from personal experience that they'll come by to let you in with the key you've given them. Most importantly, the walkers will love your pets, foibles and all and give you walk-by-walk reports on how they're doing. We've got an older but still frisky dog with high affection needs. He loves his Puppy Love walkers and we come home to a happy creature, even when we're gone for several days. As others have said, they're wonderful about last-minute requests. My husband and I started using Puppy Love for daily walks for our Jack Russell Terrier, Tilly, shortly after she joined our family seven years ago. What a wonderful decision that was! Puppy Love has a very low turnover of pet walkers (which says alot!) and thus, your dog is allowed to bond with the walker. The pet walkers are dependable, and always leave a note advising us of Tilly's walk and activities. Her current walker, Lee, even made Tilly some homemade dog treats for Christmas. Now, that is going above and beyond! When I retired over a year ago, I stopped the daily walks, but still call on Puppy Love to fill in when I am busy or out of town. We have dealt with many canine care organizations and agencies over 17 years,and this is by far the best. We have two Scottish terriers, and need dog walking services in Washington, DC, daily -- but our schedules are erratic, and we often need to add or cancel appointments. The staff is completely professional, the work is of highest quality. Puppy Love truly is as good as it gets. We have used them for about two years, if not longer. During that time we've had two regular dog sitters who seemed to love our dog as much as our dog loved them. I'm writing an update to my previous review to give additional kudos to the Puppy Love team. I've been using them to cat sit for around 3 years now and they've been consistently amazing, both in how they work with me and the way they care for my cat. 5 star service for sure! They worked with me over the holidays to make sure the cat was visited (even on Christmas day!). When my anticipated travel dates changed, they were flexible in rearranging the schedule. Best of all, when I came home my cat was happy and cheerful. You know how sometimes when you leave town and return, your cat is ticked off and passive aggressive? We love Puppy Love! Puppy Love is extraordinarily reliable and gives us great peace of mind when we leave our dog in their care for mid-day walks. The same dogwalker, Jackie, comes to us almost every time, and we have formed a bond with her via notes about our dog's routines and her progress (she is a rescue and we recently adopted her). The other great thing about Puppy Love is there is no minimum number of dog walks necessary and I can let them know the night before if we need them the next day. I have been using Puppy Love for my cats for 8 years and they are fantastic. My cats love them and I am so relieved to know that I can call or e-mail them (sometimes on short notice) and they will always take great care of them. I was referred to Puppy Love by my Vet after i returned home from a trip my dog in a very sick state from neglect by the prior dog sitters(NOT Puppy Love). Will and team have been absolutely fantastic with my dog, even going out of their way to help nurse him back to health when I had to turn around and leave two days after the emergency room visit mentioned above. We've used Puppy Love for almost three years. They are absolutely terrific. Completely dependable, reliable, honest. I like the combination of having one dog walker assigned to and responsible for our dogs, but having the service be responsible for replacing him if he is sick or cannot walk the dogs for some reason. Highly recommend Puppy Love. They have been walking my 2 rambunctious dogs every week since my now 12 1/2 year old dog was a puppy. I like the little notes on how the dogs behaved on the walk - nice personal touch. I like that it's the same person each time, so the walker knows my dogs and vice versa.
