I've never been to this restaurant. I was able to place my order by phone and was given a pick up time of approximately 25 minutes, which was great. When I arrived the place was very small with a few tables to choose from. There's tons a parking available outside. I walked up to the counter and let her know I was picking up my order. She rang me up and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes! Fantastic! The pupusas were okay. I was hoping they would be filled more. We did get tons of salsa and curtido, which was appreciated. I may try this place again, we'll see if they're better the second time. read more

This was one of several recommendations that came up in my query for pupusas. Albeit quite the distance from the nest, I decided to give this place a go. The shopping center is a place of old and new and parking is abundant. I came right before the dinner crowd, so there was a wait but not too painful. Service was prompt and friendly. I ordered 3 pupusas... jalapeño y queso, chicharron, and asada y queso. All were made to order and fresh. The curtido was somewhat limp and had slight heat. So why the 3 star? Ya wanna check your order and receipt before you leave... I was too excited, yo I didn't realize they charged me a revuelta pupusa I never ordered and didn't receive. Dang. Oh, there is an added $.50 for credit card use... If this was a jump skip, I would've come back to correct and get my money back. This pupuseria was near my house so I was so excited to try some good pupusas. Unfortunately, it really missed the spot for me. I am ordered the Jalapeño and Cheese Pupusa, Loroco and Cheese Pupusa, and Revuelta Pupusa. The pupusas were big and too thick. The jalapeno and loroco ones mainly tasted like cheese and did not have any flavor or spice. My partner said the revuelta was good and definitely had more flavor than the other ones. I suppose the pupuseria wasn't good at making the vegetarian pupusas which is why I gave it a 3/5. Overall, service was decent -- it took 20 minutes to make the pupusas and the price was roughly $7 each + tax which is quite expensive. I don't plan on visiting this place again especially because I know southern california has better pupuserias. read more

Came here as this is the closest place to our new place and it did not disappoint! It's a small hole in the wall spot but the cooks know what they're doing! My husband and I came here for a quiet Friday evening. 3 out of the 5 tables were occupied. It's a good ambience too. The food was delicious. We were in the mood for pupusas and this place was nearby. It's located in a shopping center that has Cardenas and other smaller shops and food places. Upon entering, the place is small but seemed clean and well lit. The pupusas were pretty big in size, thick, authentic and made to order. We waited about 20 min to get our order. I had the revuelta and chicharon with cheese (pictured). We also got 2 chicharon. Both came with sauce and curtido. I felt like they were a bit bland and pretty tough as though they were over cooked. It took a few tugs to finally bite all the way through. If you come here I would suggest calling in your order or ordering online or you will have to wait awhile. read more

I visited this place to try their food, I am a bit critical to salvadorean since have in memory what food tasted back home 40yrs ago. Pupusas not that great have got better ones in LA, breakfast food was really good, service was good, ambiance decent music and tv not too noisy but was with low activity. They prepared the food as you order .. fresh Pupuseria.. I think price of $4.75 per pupusa is too much since it's average taste ... For the people that say it's pricey for a pupusa NO it isn't they pack these pupusas with lots of cheese and beans or meat whatever you get. They are not stingy and only give you masa. Excited for a decent pupuseria in town! The pupusas are tasty and a pretty good size, and they're not super greasy like most other places. Despite this, they're still a little pricey at $2.99/each for revuelta. The restaurant is brand new (open less than a week) so they're still working out some kinks. Their drink options are limited and they don't have their full menu available yet. For now they are cash only. The restaurant itself is pretty small and they only have about 4-5 tables, so seating is tricky also. If you plan on ordering to go, definitely call ahead because there's no place to sit and wait if all the tables are taken. Definitely worth a visit and a welcome addition to Perris! read more
