    Two berry pancakes
    Sammie S.

I arrived between the rush hours but it was still loosely full. I asked for a quiet table and mentioned that I had 30 minutes to burn before an appointment l. Nicole understood the assignment! I had my decaf coffee within two minutes and my pancakes within five. I leisurely ate and made it out within 30 minutes! The food was excellent. I chose the berry pancakes after seeing the calories in the cinnamon ones. :) Restaurant was clean. I was able to get a quiet table.

I joined the waitlist table for 4 plus small baby. The table was ready much earlier than expected and we missed our window for arrival, as we had to drive to the location. Upon arrival we were fortunately able to get a table within a few minutes. The ambiance was very nice and we had a table well suited to park our baby's stroller. The menu selection was very good, and had great options for everyone in our group. I ordered the kimchi skillet and it was very good. Spicier than I expected but very good! My family was also very happy with their meals (western omelette, brioche fruit French toast and crispy chicken burger). My FIL ordered a mango smoothy and loved it. 2 things that really were not pleasing to me were: server didn't bring us table water upon our initial Seating. Even more shocking to me was that they saw we had a small baby (7 months old), and I asked for a few small slices of banana to feed him, and when we got the bill they charged us $1.50 for probably a nickel worth of banana. Our bill was $100+ and they couldn't even comp the smallest bit of banana. This was so off putting ! At Cora they always outright offer some banana (without us asking). I understand everything costs money, but their cost to this minuscule amount of fruit is so small. Considering I ordered coffee and used probably more than $0.05 worth of milks and sweeter I found this sad. In short, pros of this restaurant: *good food, good portion *servers are very friendly *price for regular menu items is fair compared to other similar restaurants *good amount of time to be seated at table considering it was a busy time (Sunday brunch time) *servers came to tables for coffee refills regularly areas of improvement: *servers bringing table water for all guests, or even asking *not charging $1.50 for $0.05 worth of fruit for a small baby especially when the tables overall bill is over $100 If my mommy friends are asking about a place to take their young families with babies I will strongly consider sharing this experience, as it makes me feel the restaurant is not so baby friendly and nickel and dimes young families.

They use the highest quality organic fruits and vegetables and are most famous for their cold-pressed juices. Instead of getting a cold-pressed juice, I decided to get one of their açai bowls. Here's my rundown: Food There were three açai bowls to choose from - classic, beauty, and soul. I got the beauty açai bowl which had the açai, avocado, coconut oil, and almond milk blend topped with bananas, granola, coconut flakes and fresh strawberries. The açai blend was smooth and rich in flavour while the fresh fruit and oats made for great flavours and textures. It was a very refreshing treat to get and had the perfect balance between all ingredients. Atmosphere Can't really comment on the atmosphere here because the store is quite small and has minimal seating. There were about 4 high chairs to sit but it's more meant to be used while you're waiting for your drinks or bowls. It's small like most downtown cafés and this place is more so for those grab and go type of people. Service Service was really friendly and the employee was helpful in helping me make a decision about the type of bowl to get. No complaints here; they were really inviting and patient with my indecisiveness. Price I paid $10 for the açai bowl! A little pricy but you're paying for quality organic food here so it's worth every dollar. Verdict Refresh is indeed a refreshing experience has they use only the finest organic fruits to make their products. I'm excited to return here to try their juices and other açai bowls. Definitely worth a try if you're roaming around downtown Guelph. A well-deserved 5/5 experience!

A juice and smoothie bar that serves up frozen matcha!…read more I came here with one purpose only and it was to try their frozen matcha. The staff here were young but all very nice and welcoming. The frozen matcha itself was icy with really tiny ice pellets in it (wasn't as smooth as I'd like), but over I enjoyed the flavour. It was definitely extremely cold to drink since the ice pellets were larger than anticipated. The storefront is nice, selling lots of healthy snacks, whereas the back juice bar area had lots of seating. Overall, loved my very first frozen matcha here and could come back for more!

Twin sisters, Sydney and Ashley, founded The Hut in order to bring consistent quality products to the Muskoka area at first and now have expanded their business to Toronto. All the products featured in their shop are all curated with thoughtful ingredients and goods in mind. There are also some tables to enjoy your smoothies, coffee, and food as well. I stopped by The Hut Smoothie and Juice Bar on a Thurs mid morning. Upon entering the shop you walk past the many healthy grocery items on display where the cashier and coffee and smoothie bar is at the back. I decided to order a dragon fruit smoothie bowl (banana, dragon fruit, dates, and milk of choice topped with banana, strawberries, housemade granola, and natural peanut butter) as well as an Americano. My smoothie bowl and coffee were made at a reasonable time. The smoothie bowl was a good portion filled with the good stuff and I thoroughly enjoyed it (loved the housemade granola and the peanut butter!). My Americano was also made well. I sat inside enjoying my bowl. Overall, a nice addition to the midtown area for smoothies, coffee, and healthy snacks. Would return to try their smoothies!

Tropical Recovery and Brain Food are def the best smoothies at the retail locations. They have OJ 1l for a great price -- the best in Toronto. Their Chaga apple cider is also excellent, as is their Fireball. I love their Turmeric Sunshine juice, and all their bottled fruit juices. The green juices -- here's my issue. They put kale into almost all of them. Kale is high in thallium. I was drinking one of their green juices before getting serum thallium tested at WCH (your family doc can't do this test). My blood was high very in thallium both times and both times I had just had a VJ green juice. The doctor asked if I ate kale and said I should cut down. I do NOT eat kale, and VJ juices are/were my only source. Please add dandelion, more cucumber, celery! The kale is obviously not safe even in tiny amounts. I refuse to drink any juice with kale anymore, so I have been buying it elsewhere with dandelion as the main leafy green. Sometimes they make a lot of errors on your order, but they always fix them -- it's just time-consuming. I love this place, just please ditch the kale! I know it's a cheap green source, but it is NOT healthy.
