The Harmony Theater is an absolute gem of a dinner theater experience. The staff treats everyone as…read moreif you're family from the moment you walk into the lobby. Although the staff is small in number, they are quintessential hosts. The food is homemade; simple yet exquisite. The performance company is likewise phenomenally talented, drawing cast from near and far to blend into an exceptional show. The lobby is quaint yet modern, adding a nostalgic vibe you don't find very often. Yet another extraordinary feature is the restrooms. They are Individual and unisex each with a stunningly unique design theme. I would strongly recommend reservations (available on-line as well as at the box office) due to the somewhat limited- but all the more intimate- seating capacity. I cannot recommend this venue any more highly!!

First, I don't believe those one-star reviews. I travel nearly 3 hours from Cincinnati as often as…read moreI can manage it, to enjoy their amazing buffet and entertaining shows. I just saw a delightful production of Cinderella, with a delicious TV Dinner-inspired buffet of turkey and dressing, meatloaf, pot roast, pork loin, green beans, corn, peas and carrots, and mashed potatoes. These were preceded by their delicious broccoli salad and tossed salad, and even better than before yeast rolls with apple butter. There were also an apple crumble and peach cobbler (with a wonderfully buttery dough), as well as additional desserts that can be purchased for intermission. The new owners, Mark and Misty McGrady, have made sure to keep the atmosphere built by the founders, Donna and Richard Myers. As a returned Hillsboro native, Mark understands what this institution of over 25 years means to the area. They changed the broccoli salad slightly, just making it crunchier, and added a French salad dressing that had been served when a hotel restaurant occupied the space where the dining room/auditorium now is, in addition to Donna's original sweet and sour dressing for the tossed salad. Both were wonderful, like all the food. And then there's the price. Although the price is the same as another dinner theater about 56 miles east of them, for a weeknight show and seats on the very edge of the auditorium, the other place is $27 more than Myers for weekend evenings, in the center section (and that's ignoring that place's $5 surcharge for a 2-top, or $35 surcharge for the last row, which they call "box seats for two"). I have been there once, but Myers Dinner Theater is the one I keep returning to. While you're there, visit one of their uniquely decorated restrooms (whether you need to or not). My photographs of three of them should tell you why.

It definitely exceeded my expectations. Instead of digital tickets, you just give your name to the host at the door at they'll lead you to your seats. Your server will then bring your drinks. Unsweetened tea, lemonade, and coffee are all complimentary but they have sodas and alcoholic drinks for sale. They also have dessert available for $7 as well. They can deliver the dessert during intermission which was perfect. Our server Maria was super friendly and on top of things. But all the servers and bussers were on top of it. We saw Cinderella and it was awesome. It was close to the original but a little modernized in the best way. There was plenty of crowd interaction and the actors were all fantastic. The props were cool but the costumes were even better. They also had a live band playing the music. Our seats were on the side of the stage and I wasn't sure we'd have a good view but the actors moved around the floor a lot and there was a tv on the side as well showing what was happening as well. I already bought tickets to another show and my family is looking forward to it.

We've talked about going for years and randomly pulled the trigger when our plans fell through for last week. Best decision we could have made. We saw signing in the rain and it was fantastic. Great vocals, acting, food, service, and environment. We sat in the mezzanine area which was farthest from the stage but AMAZING seats. AND we had our own private bathroom- felt like a celebrity!
