The Pure Barre Augusta Team is awesome and challenges me every class. The Pure Barre community is awesome, doesn't judge, and I always feel welcome. What I love about Pure Barre is the low impact technique yet high intensity. I'm able change and strengthen my body quickly. I leave each class in a pool of sweat. Another thing I love about Pure Barre is it's tailored to you! There are so many modifications, just ask the instructor and they will modify the exercise to your ability. After trying their three types of barre classes (Pure Barre, Pure Empower and Pure Reform) at the fitness studio pure barre, their rating was five stars. If I were able to give them six stars, this business will get it! All classes had a combination of energizing music while you exercised and soothing music when you stretched at the end. My favorite class was Pure Empower with a mix of cardio, strength and barre exercises. The strength exercises were including weights ranging from two to three pounds. Jessica I. was a great and upbeat instructor. My fitbit tracked around 1,200 steps after the around one-hour session. Pure Reform was the most intense workout with strength and abdominal exercises at the barre, on the floor with the sliding discs and resistance bands in addition to on the yoga mat. The Pure reform class aimed at sculpting your body in a flattering way. It featured some exercises showed in the training of the Victoria's Secret top models. Molly R. was an excellent fitness coach. Molly was encouraging and correcting kindly your form when needed through the interesting and innovative workout. Pure barre was a low-impact workout suitable for people of all ages. You were using a tube, light weights, a yoga mat, etc. Jill was also a wonderful teacher. Jill K. would ensure you were doing all exercises correctly in a charming manner. This franchise was pristine and truly pleasant to exercise in. There were open cubicles to store your belongings while you exercised. The friendly staff was customer-oriented. They remembered all the students' names. pure barre has on-site a boutique with a diverse array of clothing and accessories (pure barre, Lululemon, etc.). The pristine venue had two water fountains and two unisex restrooms at the back. You could fill your reusable water bottle at one of the fountains. Inside each of the restrooms, there were a pink quartz and a hairspray to style your hair with light hold. The pricing was an excellent value for the quality of services given. You could choose from a vast array of options. From buying a class to an unlimited package with convenient hours every day of the week. It was awesome their first class was offered at 6:15 a.m.! You could start your day with an edge... You could book easily classes on their free phone app. It was easy to park on the well-lit shopping parking lot. read more

Great Workout! The instructors were very welcoming and friendly. I liked that she walked around making sure we all had correct form. She also gave us lots of much needed encouragement. The workouts were very low impact yet challenging. I felt like we were barely moving, but at the same time, I could feel every muscle working. My thighs and calves were shaking! The workout was 45 mins, but it went by so fast! It was very fast paced going from workout to workout, so it felt like we were only in there for 20mins. I am definitely someone who has always underestimated how tough barre classes are. This place has made me a believer that barre is not for the faint of heart or glutes!! read more

Had a great time this evening with owner/trainer Jill. I never done Pure Barre before so it was all new to me. It was a nice mix of core training and pilates. It is a fast paced course and gave good full body workout. Good for toning and strength, not as much Cardio. I would have got more out of class if was in better shape myself. But being a not-so-fit guy, I didn't find it intimidating at all. Mostly ladies in the class, but I did not feel unwelcome. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. So worth checking out. I had the best time here! This place was beautifully set up and very inviting. The staff was extremely warm and informative. No shoes allowed on the workout floor so we wore socks. I would recommend socks with grips and if you don't have any, they do...lol. The instruction given to perform the exercise was easy to understand and much harder to perform...lol. I'm just out of shape! I wondered what the name meant and come to find out, there is a ballerina bar that lines both sides of the workout room. People here are really nice! I can't complain. The only downside is comparing to Boston or NYC, the barre here is really elementary level plus not many changes. And their schedule is very limited. 5:45 class is always put my life in a rush. I suggest to have 6PM and 7:10PM and please offer 7PM class everyday! read more

I was one of the first round of clients to start with Pure Barre when they opened last year around Masters Week. I purchased the new client special, which allowed me to take unlimited classes for 5 weeks. It was great! I remember feeling welcomed and valued from the very first class. Many, many classes later, I still feel welcomed by everyone at the studio! One of the first things you'll notice is the studio itself. Jill put great thought into the design of the studio, and everything from the gorgeous check in counter to the bathrooms looks stylish and purposeful. I love the industrial chic vibe! It almost tricks me into thinking I'm not about to sweat for an hour ;) I am very particular about things being clean, and Pure Barre does not disappoint! The lobby, studio, and bathrooms are always extremely clean and tidy. The routine itself is easy to follow and, best of all, fun! Because most of the exercises use your own body weight, you can make the routine as challenging as you want. Your instructor always has kind words of encouragement. Sometimes when you're ready to give up, a simple, "Great job, Erin!" actually does wonders. It's the little things! :) The funny thing is that just as I start to get comfortable with a certain routine, it changes! Pure Barre is always changing, and that's one of the things that keeps it fun class after class. They even recently introduced Pure Barre platform, and I can't wait to take a class. Hands down the best thing about Pure Barre though is the people. From the very first day, the instructors and staff made it a point to know my name and always greet me with a smile. I always feel welcomed and accepted. I've read reviews of other boutique fitness studios where women felt like they were judged for their size or weren't wearing the right clothes. That is absolutely not true at Pure Barre Augusta. I'm at Pure Barre because I want to make a positive change for myself. I am not small by any means! You will not find a group of homogenous Barbies lifting weights to Ellie Goulding. You'll find a group of strong women in every shape, size, and fitness level pushing themselves to make the changes they want to see...to Ellie Goulding ;) Seriously though, if you worry about feeling out of place, I feel your pain. I am a person who easily feels uncomfortable at group fitness classes. But I have found a home at Pure Barre Augusta and I can't recommend it enough!
