I have been a patient for over 5 years. In that period, I have been treated not as a patient , but as valued friend. Dr. Rauchwerger, is kind and has a gentle demeanor. Explaining the process as he goes. Taking time to explain and making me comfortable in every way. Being a resident of Palm Beach County for over 20 years, I had the misfortune of having two dentist, that actually did more harm than heal. I was recommended, by my friend who is a pediatric dentist. A referral from a colleague is golden. Dr. Sergio, surrounds himself with an incredible staff. They share his passion for commitment and service. Except for expansion, the same staff members have been there longer than I have been a valued friend. I have several old crowns and amalgam fillings. I continuously ask to replace them. "Why?", he asks. If you are not in discomfort, why tempt fate, is his credo. Two other pluses. Dr. Sergio is a Prosthodontist (A prosthodontist is highly trained in cosmetics, dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, temporomandibular disorders (TMJ/TMD), and more.) They said that they would not be able to do a regular cleaning and I would need a deep cleaning for $150. They refused to do my Regular cleaning which is included. I did not want to pay an additional $150 but decided to due it anyway because of the sales pressure from the staff. I had no cavities... I had a follow up visit on January 29, 2019. They did my regular cleaning. They advised me that I have extra build up and should come every 3 months for a regular cleaning to help with the build up. But once again, I have no cavities. I told them my insurance only covers 2 cleanings a year which is what I will be doing. She said okay no problem. I called yesterday to set up an appointment for my 6 month cleaning & the receptionist said she read the notes and I will need to come in every 3 months for a cleaning. I explained that for 30 years, I have been doing regular cleanings every 6 months with no issues. She said she didn't care what I have done in the past, it was a requirement from their office. I told her I wanted to schedule a regular cleaning (which my insurance pays for.) She said she would make the appointment but the depending on what the Dental Hygienist said, they might require a deep cleaning (additional $150.) I told her I didn't want that. She said "well if that's what they recommend, that's what we will do. We will not give you a regular cleaning" Here is a picture of my teeth!! I brush 2 times a day at least and floss a few times a week. This dentist office refused to give me my regular cleaning & insist I !!! This office is a scam!!

Also be prepared to be asked for your insurance at every turn and take photos for them lol. I had to give it to the AI machine, upload it to there site on two different areas. When I came into the office, two different receptionists asked for the insurance. Honestly it was slightly annoying and made them appear unorganized. I have an extremely popular insurance carrier so I can't find a way to understand why they were forgetting. However, I understood they were trying to make sure the paperwork was completed. One of the receptionist that reschedules your appointment did not fit the brand of everyone else who worked there. She was slightly rude and discussing people's personal business in the office. I came in for my appointment at 2pm and the wait time was almost nonexistent. I only waited for about 4 minutes before they took me to the back to do ex rays. My experience with the actual dentist was extremely pleasant and he explained everything going on with my teeth in a way I could easily comprehend. He was also very warm and welcomed any questions I had. The hygienist who did my cleaning was sooo gentle and the best experience I've ever had. However, afterwards the reception staff was a nightmare. I had to be a constant mediator between them and the insurance company. After months of back and forth they received their payment from the insurance for the cleaning but it was such a hassle I've never encountered. Such a shame to walk away from them but I don't have 3 months after I get my cleaning to instruct them on how to deal with insurance companies. I'm still not sure about the real issue of why I had to heavily get involved but nonetheless I've decided to just make the long drive to my old dentist office for my cleaning. I might try them again if I walk by and the front staff is different lol just being honest. The dentists are top tier. I recommend if you don't mind the front desk staff
