When I came into the office, two different receptionists asked for the insurance. Honestly it was slightly annoying and made them appear unorganized. I have an extremely popular insurance carrier so I can't find a way to understand why they were forgetting. However, I understood they were trying to make sure the paperwork was completed. One of the receptionist that reschedules your appointment did not fit the brand of everyone else who worked there. She was slightly rude and discussing people's personal business in the office. I came in for my appointment at 2pm and the wait time was almost nonexistent. I only waited for about 4 minutes before they took me to the back to do ex rays. My experience with the actual dentist was extremely pleasant and he explained everything going on with my teeth in a way I could easily comprehend. He was also very warm and welcomed any questions I had. The hygienist who did my cleaning was sooo gentle and the best experience I've ever had. However, afterwards the reception staff was a nightmare. I had to be a constant mediator between them and the insurance company. After months of back and forth they received their payment from the insurance for the cleaning but it was such a hassle I've never encountered. Such a shame to walk away from them but I don't have 3 months after I get my cleaning to instruct them on how to deal with insurance companies. I'm still not sure about the real issue of why I had to heavily get involved but nonetheless I've decided to just make the long drive to my old dentist office for my cleaning. I might try them again if I walk by and the front staff is different lol just being honest. The dentists are top tier. I recommend if you don't mind the front desk staff

Even though I live 2 hours away, they are worth the drive. I received 4 fillings, 2 crowns and a cleaning. The staff was professional, gentle and super caring. I will definitely be back. They said that they would not be able to do a regular cleaning and I would need a deep cleaning for $150. They refused to do my Regular cleaning which is included. I did not want to pay an additional $150 but decided to due it anyway because of the sales pressure from the staff. I had no cavities... I had a follow up visit on January 29, 2019. They did my regular cleaning. They advised me that I have extra build up and should come every 3 months for a regular cleaning to help with the build up. But once again, I have no cavities. I told them my insurance only covers 2 cleanings a year which is what I will be doing. She said okay no problem. I called yesterday to set up an appointment for my 6 month cleaning & the receptionist said she read the notes and I will need to come in every 3 months for a cleaning. I explained that for 30 years, I have been doing regular cleanings every 6 months with no issues. She said she didn't care what I have done in the past, it was a requirement from their office. I told her I wanted to schedule a regular cleaning (which my insurance pays for.) She said she would make the appointment but the depending on what the Dental Hygienist said, they might require a deep cleaning (additional $150.) I told her I didn't want that. She said "well if that's what they recommend, that's what we will do. We will not give you a regular cleaning" Here is a picture of my teeth!! So after my cleaning Dr. Sutton came in to greet/meet me, checked to make sure I received a thorough cleaning and also did a new patient assessment. When he walked in I was like whoa! Can we just pause to acknowledge how beautiful he is?! Aside from that, he was very very gentle, super friendly, and very interactive. Not to mention super hilarious. He constantly informed me on what he would be doing, what he saw, any concerns, and complimented wherever applicable. He recommended a follow up which I went back for and let me tell you, you would not want a better dentist. As I said, you always know what he'll do next before he does it, any feeling or pain to expect and how much longer the procedure will take. You won't feel like a patient on a surgery table being worked on like meat, and I wasn't a drooling slob during any of the procedures. The interaction provided the assurance/reassurance you need as he makes progress. Im always so thankful to find a great healthcare provider, especially one that makes you feel like you're truly the focus of the care being received, rather than just another number. They will recommend procedures and then tell you that your insurance doesn't cover those services (which is untrue) When I visited this office for the first time 4 months ago I was very unhappy with my experience. I was told that my insurance did not cover 2 services that were recommended by the hygienist and when I questioned it because I was pretty positive they were covered I was told by the front desk staff that "insurance never covers these procedures". I declined the recommended services because I had a gut feeling I was being told wrong information. When I got home I reviewed my insurance policy to confirm those services were covered 100% I called later that day and spoke to Josline (the office manager) I was told that she would look into it and get back to me. She called me back shortly after and apologized and said her staff has certain protocols which were not followed and she takes full responsibility and continued to apologize. I said it was my first time as patient there and I was very disappointed.Josline then said (on our phone call) please come back and you can get your 2 services and as an apology I will not bill the 2nd service (fluoride treatment ) to your insurance and it will be free of charge. I was hesitant to come back but Josline sent me a quick text message the next morning again apologizing and saying she's very sorry and please let her know when I'm ready to schedule to come back. I thought the apology was genuine and the kind gesture to comp the fluoride treatment so I decided I would give this office another chance. I explained that my schedule did not allow for an immediate appointment but next time I come in I will gladly take you up on your offer. Yesterday I was back for my 2nd appointment (a cleaning) and the hygienist recommended a fluoride treatment and then proceeded to tell me it wasn't covered under my insurance. After I pushed back (thinking to myself here we go again )it was looked into further and surprisingly it was then covered. When I checked out at the front desk and spoke to Josline about her saying she wouldn't bill it to my insurance ( I have an allowed amount each year for covered services and I didn't want it to go towards that) she had printed out a text message that she sent me the day after my last appointment 4 months ago as a follow up to her phone apology and because she didn't mention the free fluoride treatment in the follow up text she acted like she never said it and handed me the printed out text with her apology and just said it doesn't say it on the text so she wasn't going to honor it. I told her we spoke about it on the phone at length while she was asking me to come back and give them another chance but she was not interested in anything I had to say. I am disgusted by the behavior I received yesterday. We had a clear and concise conversation about how she planned to rectify the mistake via phone and because it wasnt on the short text message that she sent the day after our conversation she was not willing to honor it. Just to be clear you lost a new client and any potential referrals over $30 It is in no way for me about the small dollar amount but more about unethical billing and when I tried to give them a second chance they not only tried to bill me again for covered services but then doubled down on it by refusing to comp the service I was promised as they rudely handed me text messages which were about 1/4 of our communication about this matter. I don't know if you they were overwhelmed yesterday but the customer service I received was by far the worst I've received in all my years
