I paid around $100 expecting fresh flowers and a nice presentation, but when I picked it up the next day, the flowers already looked old and wilted. The overall presentation looked rushed and poorly put together, especially considering the price. What made the experience worse was the owner's response when I politely brought up my concerns. Instead of trying to help or understand the issue, he became defensive, rude, and had an unprofessional attitude. I gotta say I was disappointed by the presentation but had to run. Ordered and paid $155 for 2 dozen long stem roses. Picked them up next day and wasn't impressed by the wrapping. The paper was immediately wrinkled because it didn't have inside wrapping and top layer wrapping, bottom was torn because stems wernt wrapped and secured before wrapping. Had to ask for ribbon which made it look a little better and some of the roses were already wilted. The one guy was nice but based on pics, could have done a nicer job on presentation especially considering the high price tag. I explained upon ordering how important this bouquet was and now I see gorgeous pictures of past jobs which lets me know the business is likely capable but just unwilling with my job. Hate to think that way but proof is in the wilting. Won't be back! read more

Excellent asset to the neighborhood, a full-service florist, it offers flowers, houseplants, and arrangements. Their prices are competitive not "discount". They provide personal service. Truthfully, this is one of the "anchor" merchants for the Fitler neighborhood and shopping district in that my life would be significantly worsened if it weren't here (like the two supermarkets, Wawa, the bike shop, and Starbucks). Randomly walked and stopped by this shop because the plants outside caught my eye. Didn't realize it was a florist shop which was really great. I had a stroller so could not walk inside since there are about two steps up and it's a bit too small to bring a stroller inside. I was able to get the gentleman in the backs attention but his demeanor was dismissive when answering my two questions about inventory and pricing of plants. Maybe he was having an off day but still quite disappointed with the poor customer service encounter since this shop is conveniently located for me and was excited that it was a florist shop. I first called for pickup and they told me to just come in since they don't do pick up Then I went into store and explained my order to lady including a particular flower my wife likes. She heard it and didn't fulfill it and instead redirected me to another store person Second store person heard my order and wrapped whole bouquet before I had to check for the flower my wife likes. Then he said he didn't have any - well if he told me that in beginning I wouldn't have bought it!!! And of course I asked for a vase and now first attendant said there no vases. So I pointed to one and she said, "oh that one? Sure." Then I asked for a more narrow one and she told me this is all they had and I would cut the flowers anyway. At which point I nicely pointed out a tall vase in back that they then priced and charged for. Finally when I was leaving the store I saw customers picking up flowers they placed over telephone - the original lie that led me into the store What an awful place - clearly allergic to any concept of customer experience. Btw I am happy to overpay for flowers - i used to live in nyc - but every nyc flower store is happy to help and customize to your needs. Hope they learn how customer experience works here read more

My go-to neighborhood florist! Gorgeous arrangements every time, beautifully wrapped in brown or black paper and tied with rafia & a sprig of rosemary. I picked up a white bouquet for our Diner en blanc table last Thursday, and would you believe that at the end of the night while we were walking around the Franklin Square fountain that a fellow Diner en Blanc attendee STOLE the bouquet right off our table!!!! OMG, what is wrong with people! Obviously this was a gorgeous bouquet, and a testament to this awesome shop! Sadly some humans are nowhere near as beautiful as these bouquets from Pure Design. read more

I've been a repeat customer over the years. Pure Design consistently provides beautiful and well balanced flower arrangements. I often rely on the Designers Choice option but I've also did the Pure Garden once and loved it. This year's Valentines delivery was again fantastic. I suggest upgrading to at least Deluxe when ordering. Worth the mild upcharge. read more

When we wanted to send flowers long distance, we chose this florist because of their uniquely exceptional arrangements, definitely above the rest. As is often the case with florists where you place an order by telephone or online, the arrangement that gets delivered doesn't seem to be quite what was pictured. I called and let them know; my budget, that I wanted it delivered, and I wanted the flowers to have a young & bright vibe. The girl on the phone was extremely nice and accommodating even though I couldn't even tell her what kind of flowers I wanted in the arrangement. Pure is without hesitation the BEST flower shop I have ever come across, and I'm oddly obsessed with having fresh flowers wherever I can put them, any chance I get. I used to live a half a block from their 22nd Street location, but even now that I'm living outside of the city, whenever I do make a trip in, Pure is a MUST STOP for me. Everyone who works there is so genuinely kind, and always tend to their customers. There's none of this texting behind the register crap, they are true professionals! They have a fridge full of the most beautiful, exotic flowers that you can purchase by stem. I always pick out a small bouquet for myself from there and they'll arrange it for you along with some free greens, wrap it up in this beautiful black paper and tie it off with twine some form of seasonal decoration. When you first walk in you'll see a bunch of arrangements that were already called in and waiting to be picked up or delivered, and they always look fresh and beautifully arranged. This place has some of the biggest roses and peonies you'll ever see, as well as some exotic flowers you just can't find anywhere else. They have vases and other small plants for sale as well, and during the summer the outside will be lined with planters and hanging ferns for you to peruse before entering the store. I'm just totally obsessed with this place, they've got it together on all ends and I am constantly recommending them to others! My mother received her birthday flowers today, and I was blown away via iPhone photo. I can only imagine just how gorgeous they are in person! I had asked the designer on the phone to send something bright, oranges and yellows, that exudes happiness and makes you want to do a little dance when you see them. To be perfectly honest, that is EXACTLY what I did when I received the photo of them. I'm an only child, so my mom is pretty stoked on anything I do, but hearing the overwhelming happiness in her voice on the phone when she talked about the flowers was next level. It was my friends birthday, and like a jerk I left ordering flowers to the last minute. I called around to a bunch of different flower shops in Philly, asking if they could deliver to Northern Liberties the same day, most of them said no.. until I called Pure. The guy on the phone was SUPER friendly and professional, he double checked with his driver regarding delivery to Northern Liberties, and even gave me an estimated time so that I could make sure my friend was home. When it came to the flowers he had everything right - he asked me the occasion (birthday), male or female (female) then he asked me what colors she liked, what her personality was like and all these other questions to make sure the arrangement was something that would suit her. AWESOME. When it comes to price - their "modern" arrangements start at $45, but I paid $50 and got a BEAUTIFUL arrangement, it was HUGE and full of all different kinds of blooms. The delivery charge was cheap too - only like $6 I think. Pure saved my ass in a MAJOR way, I will be using them for all future birthdays and special occasions!! read more

I stopped in here to pick up some flowers for Mother's Day. The staff was super helpful, and if you tell them how much you want to spend they'll just pick a bunch of different flowers to make a beautiful bouquet. For one of mine I just stuck with a single hydrangea bloom. It came back to me with some pretty green filler plants, and all wrapped up in white paper, with a pink flower stem tied on the front. I just spent $80 on a bouquet that I'm going to be putting together myself. I've been here more than once, I work very close by so I've sent clients as well. this was ridiculous, I did not work with this employee before. I asked if I can make a bouquet with the lavender which has been done for me in the past instead I am the one the picking the flowers individually myself, so I can put it together when I get home. he just kept explaining to me that additional flowers added to the lavender cannot be put in water, I'm aware this. Hence I asked if there was an employee the last time I was here that had no problem putting it together for me with flowers that will look beautiful once dehydrated. For $80 these two small lavender bouquets should've been put together for me the way that I liked. I'll post a photo shortly. I tried calling back and ask for the owners name, assuming maybe it was one of them who was kind enough to put this bouquet together for me. After asking more than once I saw was not given a name. I called yesterday to place an order on 10 roses and 2 lilies , a very nice girl took my order over the phone and told me it costs $52. However, when my boy friend went to pick it up today , they charged him $65. My boy friend didn't place the order so he didn't know the price they sold me yesterday, so when i found out I was thinking fine , it's just $13 more dollar but I was uncomfortable with this. Then it came the flower, oh my god the flower . It is absolutely hideous , they are small and the wrapping looked cheap. Totally not worth the $65 , for $15 i get these beautifully blossomed red, yellow, and orange roses from wholefoods. Im not mad at the price they charged me , not mad at the ugly bouquet . Thanks to the care instructions I received at Pure, my white orchid has been thriving. So well, in fact, that it grew so top-heavy with blooms that the simple base it came in could no longer anchor the plant down - even with a weight thrown in! After watching my lovely take a flying leap from the windowsill one day, I finally got the hint and off to Pure we went. One of the florists helped me pick out an appropriate base, and then she transported the plant and added some taller stems to keep the branch upright. I am so pleased with the results and how much prettier the orchid looks in a proper flower pot. I do not believe the orchid will attempt any more dives. read more
