Walked in on Valentine's day to get a dozen Roses. They greeted me with "what is it". Then the two working there start talking to each other in mandarin. The woman then tells me what they have available. As I prepare to check out, I can see on the card reader it says "potential fraud alert". The woman proceeds to say "what, you Dont have any money" and doesn't even tell me about the fraud alert. I decided to bring by business elsewhere. My table arrangement of flowers for a special dinner exceeded my expectations. At $59 including the vase, and prepared in just 90 minutes, it was a great service. Although I was looking for African Velvet which is my tradition with my BFF who I haven't seen before covid, they had a delightful selection of red roses. I asked for white daisies as their complement and they selected lots of varying sizes to offset the roses. Set in a delightful glass cube vase and with stems surrounded by a greenery wrap that looked like cucumber (!! Fun !!!) it was watered, set in layers of thick paper, wrapped in plastic and placed at the front of the store for easy pickup. I really look forward to using Orchid again when supply chain challenges are resolved and we can be even more creative with floral selections and designs. Tip: Orchid is the official flower shop for the Palomar hotel around the corner. Speak with the concierge and they can have special arrangements placed in your room or restaurant for special events. read more

It's very difficult ordering from out of state when you are not familiar with a business. Basically you trust & go on other's reviews and make your own judgement call. First impressions are also lasting impressions and for this reason I would not revisit this business. My daughter was in Penn Hospital and I had hoped to cheer her up. Because this was not exactly a pleasant stay the farthest thing from her mind was mentioning that the flowers she received were not exactly stellar. She did mention it 2 weeks after discharge. I realize the more important issue here is the well being of the individual & not the flowers. However, for $80 my expectations were not subpar but the product was. The owner implied this could have been the fault of the recipient .... imagine? Disappointing is all I can say. read more

I would never recommend this place. Not only were my flowers not delivered on Valentine's Day To my grandmother who just lost her husband but they are skimpy. I paid 77$ for a 10$ flower arrangement. 4 roses and barely any carnations. When I called to complain about the flowers not being delivered they refused to give me a refund and told me they would be delivered the following day. I demanded that they deliver them and give me my money back. In order to have the flowers there at 11pm at night I had to forgo the refund. What a joke of a business. Came here for me usual hydrangeas bouquet and was very impressed with the way they wrapped my arrangement. The hydrangeas were clearly well cared for after being cut because I brought them home and they showed no signs of bruising or dehydration. The bloomed beautifully and look wonderful. I called the florist around 930am PST and within 2.5 hours it was already delivered! I asked them to please make the arrangement more plant based and use colors like green and orange nothing frilly. I used to go to this store any time I needed flowers. On Valentine's Day an hour before the scheduled time to close (when I needed them the most), they locked their doors and refused to let me in.
