I happened to be in town from Chicago and stopped in to see Jaime for a much-needed salon visit - as she so graciously fit me into her schedule. Let me start by saying that my hair was a hot mess when I walked in the door of Pure Eden. My hometown stylist of 5-years stopped cutting hair, so my regular cut/colors were not so regular any more. (On top of it, I ran out of my good shampoo and conditioner and the drug store stuff absolutely destroyed my curly hair.) Jamie sat with me and discussed how to get my hair back to normal, and suggested some new color options. She gave me a cut that encouraged my natural texture (because she took the time to figure that out BEFORE she took out the scissors) and still looks awesome when straight. I could literally feel the difference immediately. Needless to say, I tossed the drug store crap and am now very happy with my Aveda products! I also decided to book a facial during this same visit (my very first facial ever). I had no idea what to expect, but Jill talked me through every step in the process. I always look forward to my appointment @ Pure Eden. The atmosphere is great - comfortable, clean, friendly and inviting. I regularly have my hair colored/cut and I'm always happy with the result. After months of dealing with upper back and neck pain along with my foot falling asleep while driving I decided to try a deep tissue massage. Alice at Pure Eden is AMAZING! She is professional and is sensitive to those who may have some trepidation about this type of treatment. She clearly explained what to expect during the treatments and told me that it could take up to 4 sessions to see significant improvement. In just 2 sessions I have better range of motion and almost no pain in my back/neck and the weird sensation in my foot has almost gone away. I really did a number on my hair and I'm so thankful to Pure Eden for fixing my mistake. I have naturally blond hair and wanted a deep red. Instead of having it done by a professional, I bought a cheap box of color from Target. It didn't go well at all. When I was ready to go back to my natural color, I learned that removing red from blond wasn't as easy as I thought. Thankfully, Jaime was patient and so thorough working through a several step process with me. Pure Eden is THE place to go in Marshall for salon services. I get my hair done by Jaime (the salon owner) and my color has never looked better. I also get monthly facials with Jill. I moved here from Ann Arbor and was a regular at salons there. Jill's facials are better than any over on the East side of the state, hands down. The salon environment is warm, friendly, and welcoming. They have flexible scheduling, and they take walk-ins (which is amazing for a full time professional and full time mom). Pure Eden salon may sound like it's for females only, but I got a great haircut by Jaime and she was great to work with. She listened to all my concerns and suggested a cut that would work for me. The staff is very friendly and helpful to suggest products. I frequently get razor burn after shaving and the staff suggested an Aveda aftershave that works really well. Jaime, the owner, helped make the transition from coloring my hair every 4 weeks to my natural grey hair color so painless!! I stopped in because i had heard they do both men and women's cuts....i asked about a particular tough hair cut to do and i was quickly greeted by both the front desk clerk and the owner herself. Pure Eden salon was such a pleasant experience! I keep a military style fade cut and Kerri rocks it! The salon always smells so nice, everyone is friendly and smiles.
