Dr matthews called me 2 mins later to argue with me and tell me that the nurse doesn't have her degree speaking of the school nurse as if her degree meant nothing. Then proceeded to tell me that i had no right to tell Her she gave the wrong immunizations. She was so unprofessional and I never experienced that with anyone. For her to hold her degree so high surprised she would speak to anyone in that manner. I only went to her because she was the closest doctor to me. But this on top of her wait time isn't worth it.

So, I'm actually legitimately concerned based on my experience with this office. First of all, I…read morecalled (and called back) five different times (each time being told that my daughter would be accepted as a patient and I would be called back) before anyone got back to me. Once I was left on hold for 10 minutes and no one ever came back. This all had gone on for over two weeks. On my 4th call, the secretary said "what's the number where I can call you back" and I said to her, in a very nice and calm tone: "I just want to let you know, this is the fourth time I've called this office, and no one has yet given me a call back." There was a long silence, and then she said "what's the number where I can call you back?" I said, "but I just need to know that you will actually call me back." She said "what's the number where I can call you back." Like a pissed off robot--no apologies, no concern for the fact I had been chasing this office down for coming on three weeks. So I gave her the number and said please call me back. And...she didn't. I believe this was Dana. Three days later I call the office again. Now I'm upset. I explained what had happened so far. I said I wanted to speak to the office manager, sandy, who wasn't in. The secretary I was speaking to asked if she could help--this was Christina. She was really nice and apologetic and gave me an appointment the same day (she did call back.) So our appointment is supposed to be today. Our baby was sick. Yesterday I get a voicemail saying Dr. Martocci has Covid, and is cancelling all patients today and rescheduling for next week. Alright, nothing you can do about that. But then I get a call this morning, again from Dana, asking me if I can come in this morning. I said "I thought the doctor had Covid, isn't that why our appointment was cancelled?" Long silence. I'm put on hold. She comes back and says "the doctor is feeling better. He's leaving early today. He's still seeing patients in the morning." I said "how can he be seeing patients if he has Covid?" She said, "if you're more comfortable, you can reschedule for next week." Umm, what? I said "I don't understand, is the doctor contagious?" She said "no." Long pause. I said I would call back. Five minutes later, after talking to my partner, I'm immediately put on hold and no one comes back. I call again, it says the office is closed. I call a third time, it says the office is closed. Now I'm wondering if they're purposely not answering MY calls. My partner calls from his cell phone, Dana picks up in one ring. I am honestly so infuriated and upset I am in tears. Hoping to finally speak to the manager to explain what my experience has been. I just hope someone cares because this is not okay. This might be the best pediatrician in the world, but who can deal with being treated this way? Now it's been over a month of this, and my daughter still hasn't been seen for her four month visit. Also, anyone who knows me knows I am a really calm and polite person, very gentle and patient. I can't understand why I'm being treated this way, or if this is standard for parents at this office.

Dr. Gregory Martocci has been my son's pediatrician since he was 3 years old. I was taking him to a…read moremore prestigious pediatric group but I finally got fed up with the practice telling me how to take of my son. Dr. Martocci always gives his advice but allows parents to decide how to take care of their children. For example he tells me what shots are due but allows me to decide what shots will be given or I can decide not to get shots at all. My son would always get a high fever whenever he received a shot. I told Dr. Martocci my concern about a booster for the MMR. He suggested to have a titers test done to check and see if my son had enough of the MMR antibodies. My son indeed had enough antibodies and so he never needs to have another MMR shot again! Dr. Martocci supports our family and appreciates that we try to eat organic as much as possible. He never forces his opinion on us. He provides treatment options and allows us to decide how to treat our children. I highly recommend this practice to anyone with children.

I suppose most people have a pediatrician picked out before they have their baby and take their…read morenewborn to this pediatrician soon after the baby is born. However, some people (me) are not that organized. After I had my daughter 8 years ago, the doctor at Mercy Hospital that made the rounds making sure that all recently born babies are health approved for being released, Dr. Watman, examined my daughter and asked who her pediatrician will be. I said uh, I guess you! Luckily her office is located in Long Beach where I lived at the time so it was convenient for appointments. But.... the absolute greatest thing about Dr. Watman was that I could call any hour of the day or night and she herself would personally answer the phone so I could ask about how dangerous it is for my baby to have ingested laxatives or whatever the emergency was. I think they use an answering service now but for when we were patients there, up to when my daughter was 5 and my son was 16 and we moved to Nesconset, we got such attentive caring personable service from Dr. Watman and her staff.

She offers opinions and discusses things which I greatly appreciate. I wish she were my daughter Doctor since birth but she has been the doctor for 6 years and it has been really great. Her office is easy to get to although sometimes parking isn't that great because there are many offices in the building for the small parking lot. That does not reflect on the doctor or her staff though. Very polite staff, when my daughter is sick and I call they tell me to bring her in immediately. Only one time did I have to take my daughter to urgent care. She is always available. She eases your worries and is very helpful and informative I don't know what else I can say. I highly recommend her.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. CRYING FROM VISIT!!! Teen Daughter's…read morevery first visit to gynecologist, BAD. Dr. Yu was rude and brusque with Zero bedside manner. My daughter came away upset, scared of her own body and sad. [11/16/22] Teen daughter said she'd give Dr. Yu another try (maybe she had a bad day). Second visit ended with her crying in the exam room and for a good 15 minutes after. Dr. Yu was condescending, rude, and Mean. When my daughter asked her to explain, Dr. Yu told her that she would not understand. Dr. Yu did not explain what she was doing at any point, just did things without informing her. When my daughter told her that she had questions and concerns, Dr. Yu was downright mean and said that she was still talking - WHILE WALKING OUT THE DOOR. Dr. Yu also complained that my daughter's bladder was too big and told her not to drink water 4-hours before bed. Every other doctor she has tells her to drink more water. I got a retired ob/gyn on the phone after and he said to ignore those instructions.
